No worries! It happens. I only know 'cuz I wanted that one first....then I saw Yurr. It was a hard choice...but...Yurr had that smile! *swoons!*

 

Yurr is a beautiful sculpt ;;; still being highly tempted by him every time I drop by souldoll. They seem to love using him to model for stuff too XD

Also, thanks for replying. I've just been in a state of denial. With how fancy the souldoll clothes tend to be, I believe the skills needed to edit them to proper size cannot be found in me ;;;

Finding shoes for him has proved to be quite the challenge.. Would the double boy be fine in 8.5cm shoes? I've read that it might be clumsy.. >_> Styles are limited within the 7.5cm-8.0 range, unless I've been looking at the wrong places. Female shoes.. I was about to resort to that XD Thanks!

 

There are some dress shoes I have that are larger, 8.5 I think but they look fine with a suit.

They look nice with the suit I bought him. Not clunky or wierd at all. Sneakers seem to be more prominent in the small feets category...and "girl" shoes. You havd to really hunt though, for boots and facy shoes. I wouldn't go any larger than 8.5.

...I love my Yurr...he's just amazing. >u< You should get him...he's a darling!

 

The old souldoll double boy has pretty standard "SD" sized feet and I have never had any trouble finding shoes that fit him. I wasn't aware that the new body was so different. I have a pair of boots that are pointy and a bit on the large side but because he had such long legs they don't look out of proportion when he wears them. Otherwise he wears the same size as my other boys (Iple YID, Crobi R-line, Dollfamily 60cm, Dollmore Adam).

It's the same with Nicky. He's all legs, so his larger dress shoes look real good on him. I'm hoping the new pair of jointed hands I bought will fit OnO' the last pair didn't...so I bought female hands this time.

It's frustrating to get him him things because he's small, but has long ass legs. His pants are highwaters... :I I'm going to sew him a proper pair of jeans eventually.

 

My boy's on the old body as well. In that case, I shouldn't worry too much about 8.5...Will try and see how I like the fit when the shoes arrive! Got a girl boots as well at 7.5 to compare.

XpHoBiaX: Jointed hands! Hm, was it you who posted the picture of the jointed hands you got from the marketplace? Looking to buy a set for my boy as well. >__< Yurr.. Perhaps. I'll wait til the Christmas event this year again and see :>

Yep! I have gone through 2 sets of hands now. First was the Dollzone, and recently Illusion Spirit. :I The second set is on the MP now. They're too big for Nicky. So I bought 1/3 female hands in hopes those will be the right size. 3rd time is a charm, right? LOL

 

I have a pair of Dollfamily jointed hands, and they look like they might work. I don't know about the resin match (mine need to be cleaned as they have yellowed) but the size might work for Alex. It sounds like Nicky has the same odd proportions that Alex does even though he is on the newer body. Alex's hands are smaller than his wife's who is a Zaoll Luv.

 

xD I've dubbed Nicky "Mr. Lady Fingers" LOL

I didn't think Nicky was so small...even the SD13 clothes are baggy on him. I guess it's a good thing as I want to get better at sewing...but it's just bummer because there are some real nice and awesome things. :I

We should do a double boy clothing swap. I wonder if many people would be interested in that. I have perfected my pants making for different sizes, so i am pretty confident sewing for these boys now. They are much thinner than my other boys too, and the shirts are always baggier. Sometimes you can just take them in a little on the side seams though.

 

:I I def need to practice pants making. I love swaps!

Update: the dollfamily hands work perfectly on Alex, and the resin match is almost spot on (after I cleaned them with some toothpaste to get the yellow off).
Here is where I bought them for anyone interested.
I bought them in normal pink, but I might also buy them in white for my next boy.
I will try and put up some pictures soon too. The fingers are longer than his regular hands, but they actually look more proportionate that way.

Okay here they are, sorry it took me so long. Thought I'd better do it now though because my new girl is coming home and the only thing you guys will see after that is her and her brother.

Alex does these sorts of pictures with minimal enthusiasm...


And next to his regular hands. The fingers are longer, but the width of the hand is about the same.
Don't mind the slight discoloring of these hands...I still need to clean them a bit more.
I hope this helps. Like I said I'm thinking about getting a white pair for my Juhl so we will see how close the white match is.

 

The hands look pretty good! I'm tempted to get a pair for my boy.

 

I will definitely consider those hands, they have more shape to them. If the lady hands don't work, I will order a pair of those. xD

Thanks for the photos! They look like a good match! o Ao there's something about the definition that bugs me, but you're right - the proportions are a great fit on your boy! Very very nice.



When are your lady hands coming, phobia?

 

I think I put the order in sometime either the beginning of this month or the end of last month. I do hope they will come sometime in June, but it may not be until July.
