Thought it would be fun to add a pic of my own Souldoll Kanguk! He's a hybrid, switching between a Doll Leaves 1/3 boy body and an XM-Doll Lemon body until I can get him a body of his own He's my beautiful little street fighter! I love him so much and I can't wait to get him his red wig and his own clothes, he's gonna be perfect!

Larkspur came home today. she is my first dollie over 45cm i don't have... well anything... for her yet but i adore her so much i couldn't wait to share her. Even her wig is borrowed (thank goodness my friend had her size or she would have had to stay bald ), i have it on order but its gonna take a couple of months.

 

Hi, everyone)) I'm not yet an owner of a soul-double doll, but I'm planning to buy Juana. So I have a question for the owners of the new double-jointed girl body.
How is the boob joint functioning? I aim to understand if it's as smooth looking as new NL kid boob joint when bent, or is it sharp and dislocated, like the new zenith body boob joint? Some pictures would be nice)) (If you don't understand what I mean, look here for new and old zenith double-jointed bodies comparison by Yenna)

In answer to your question, yes. The new double body joint is almost exactly like the new zenith body. The chest joint has the same odd sharp dislocated look when pivoted to the side and bent forward. Kind of disappointing but it doesn't really bother me much.

 

the thread has been quiet lately. Larkspur got her new wig.

 

Does anyone have or know someone who has a Leloy? I really like his sculpt but his default faceup isn't to my taste.

Souldoll was the fist BJD company that I discovered and yet I have never gotten a doll from them. I almost bought a Lampard as my first doll and then almost caved and got a Yurr when he first came out. I keep coming back to these beauties, though. I think bringing one home is going to become inevitable.

 

Souldoll is discontinuing their double line! :< I don't doubt they might bring them back in a form like they did recently with the Sweet line, but it's extremely likely all the current heads will be unavailable after this event (ends August 31st it seems).

I've always really admired Philippa and Queena. I might have to try and get one of them before they go away for good

 

Omg no! There are three SoulDoubles on my list! Oh man its decision time. I might just have to snatch up the heads and get bodies down the road. *Scurries off to find resin matching thread*

 

I feel your pain I have wanted a Juana and Hye for AGES but kept putting off buying them.... and now it looks like I might not be able to get either D: I really cant afford to drop $400 right now.... plus shipping... UGH! Guess who's filling out a job application this weekend? If all else fails... I'm getting Juana. Also... I've noticed you can get a guy head too and it doesnt bump the price... so I'm thinking about posting on their Q&A and asking if I can get a Hye head instead of a guy head.... if anyone else wants to ask before I do, please go ahead! I dont remember if I even have a souldoll account since it has been ages since I entertained the idea of buying one. Also.... you can only get them with the new body..... x.x

 

I'm guessing allowing you to choose two heads for no additional charge is probably a cart error. Occasionally when they do a big discontinuing they will let you buy heads separately so it's still worth asking about, I just imagine there would be an extra cost to it (It does seem that they've pulled down most of the heads they were selling separately in the Parts section)

I'm a little iffy on the girl's new body (I actually thought the old body was pretty cute) but I don't think I can risk losing out on Philippa at least - I've wanted her since she was released and came really close to getting one secondhand a few times >>; I just love her little smirk and how petite she is compared to other SD girls!

 

Yeah I dont like the way the upper torso joint is on the new body, but I'm gonna just deal with it because I cant miss out on Juana If they wont let me buy a Hye head, I'll be fine. I just really wanted both of them.

 

I sent Souldoll a message about just buying heads. I will let people know what they say when they get back to me. Argghhhh this is so frustrating! Hye is one of the ones on my list too! She is actually going to be for my husband (his first doll I have dolls of two of his characters but this was going to be his) If you can order two heads and one body that would be amazing but I think it is probably not going to be the case sadly.

 

I'm hoping that maybe they will let us do that since they are discontinuing them... I also just remembered that I wanted Bernadette too so if they let us buy heads separately then I might try and get her too... but I hope they do the 30% off for the heads also. Problem is, I threw Juana in the cart to see how much she'd be with shipping and its like $467 :/ sooo if the other head doesnt come included with the discount price, I might have to just forget getting Hye or Bernadette x.x Or.... buy them (if possible) and just try to sell stuff to cover the costs.

 

I've had Juana on my wish list for ages, so I might have to bite the bullet and get her. The only thing I'm worried about is dressing her. She'd be my first girl and I have nooooo idea where to start with looking for girl clothes for the new double body. Guess I'll be doing some research (9_9)

 

and.... just like I feared... we cant buy two heads with one body :/ They havent decided whether or not they will sell the heads separately yet.... and I've decided not to buy a whole doll due to budget issues.... so if they dont sell the heads separately, I'm not getting either Juana or Hye. -sigh-

I noticed how much Fafner looks like Juana and decided that since I've wanted her for ages as well, that I'd just get her later instead. Now lets hope they dont discontinue her or their kid line x.x

 

My angst for this is great. I've needed to get Lampard forever, and now forever is down to this summer. But I also need to get a Souldoll double body for a floating Paolo head, and I've two girls who need bodies as well...this is a lot of bodies! I wonder if I shouldn't ask them if the bodies will be discontinued, or just the heads, because it would be immensely easier to just do Lampard and one girl body by the end of the summer, and then have Lampard and Paolo share, and the two girls share (they're sisters) until I can get the other bodies. Decisions, argh!

I'm also a little angsty over no default faceups, I wonder if I paid extra if I could get a custom faceup? I can't see why they couldn't do him up and just facemask and bubblewrap the daylights out of him to send Lampard to me...

We are not sure yet about it but will consider to sell Double line heads seperately as soon.
However, it is hard to receive an order of Double line heads right away.
And, we don't offering layaway service for the order(head parts) less than 300$.

As far as layaway being under $300 I doubt that would be a problem for me. SIX dolls omg. *head desk* I have a thread up looking for places to get a good layaway on the full doll so hopefully one of those will pan out.
