Still no Doubles... I'm really disappointed with Souldoll at this stage

 

Still not up. If they release the Vito head next I might scream.

 

Tell me about it...I'm now thinking they won't release the heads until August, which is sort of mad...I mean the Double event's only until the end of the month, so you'd think they would give us enough time to plan.

Right? They released the Zenith and kid heads a week apart. Why not the Doubles this week?

 

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy just the Double boy hand parts? I have emailed Souldoll to ask, but they haven't replied. I'm hoping someone here will know. Thanks in advance!

Nevermind. After a week, Souldoll has finally answered my email. Double boy hands are $25 plus shipping and it's possible to buy them separately even though they're not listed on the website.

Also, the two new Doubles have been released, in case anyone's interested.

Oliver looks very sad to me. Lana looks like an older version of Hawwah I think. I wonder if that is what they were going for. I am slightly tempted by sad little Oliver.

 

Aww Oliver does look sad. :c Especially with the white skin and soft, pallid lips and eyes. I think I may prefer Lana. I love her pinched, European nose!

 

Yup Oliver is coming home to me. He is going to shell a character I had been unsure about for awhile so it works . By the end of this year I am going to have five new souldoll doubles. I don't think I have bought this many dolls in a year before ever.

They're lovely, and I'll take a minute to think about this, but I think I'm safe from the new heads, so I can now go ahead with my final Soul Double orders...once I've figured out what I'm ordering from Doll Chateau for their event.

Does anyone know if Souldoll charges extra to edit just a part of the faceup? I really want Oliver to have more standard brows but in the same color. If it is going to cost a ton though I might just order him blank.

 

As far as I'm aware, any deviation fall under the custom faceup category. You can always ask them for something so minor (and it's good that it's easily explainable, as sometimes they have issues with complex custom faceups as well).

Is it just me or is Lana on some new type of body? At first I thought it was Zenith but her left hand has 3 fingers bent, whereas new Zenith has an alternative left hand with only 2 fingers bent. Besides photos say New Soul-Double. Also, it is called a Full-set! What is the point of having a full-set with the head only? :P What do you think about it?

 

Uh, at $130, that is not a fullset doll for sale. It may be a new body or not, but it's not being sold for $130.

I'm so curious about yolbaora, I almost want to buy one just to see what he looks like in person. Especially as no one seems to have him! But I don't want to take a huge loss trying to sell him if it doesn't work out (happened with paolo).

 

OMFG I am so excited! I just checked and my soul-double heads shipped finally! I checked a few days ago and reserved myself to waiting a couple more weeks but they are already in Chicago!! They should be here in the next couple days!!

 

[/URL][/IMG]So, I finally received my new double body Hye. Her face is absolutely asymmetric. I sorta had a tough time with the planes of her face when I was doing her face up...I'll have to do it again because I'm not happy with how the first run turned out. To be honest, I'm not sure how much I like her

 

At the moment they released only heads, of course However, the name says: Limited Full-set. That's why I suppose complete dolls will be released later at some stage. Why would they put them in new clothes if they only wanted to release the heads? Full-set suggests a complete doll with clothes, wig and shoes. This is why I'm wondering if they're going to release complete Double Lana and Oliver anytime in future. Limited heads are only sold separately during the Summer Event, and afterwards they'll be a part of fullset dolls.

 

Thats an interesting idea. Now I am kind of nervous.

 

My Hye is also super asymmetric :/ I think it might work for the character I have planned for my two girls though.......... my Juana and Hye are going to be experiments... maybe clones... I'm planning on getting a Fafner eventually too to be their sister. They were originally demon experiments and had tails.... but now I'm thinking just clones. lol. I got them in NS. Juana's head is much smaller than Hye's... and I definitely wasnt expecting that. She also has a shallower neck hole so I dont know if the Hybrid I had planned for both of them wil work.... I tried them on my doll leaves SD body last night and Hye's neck hole is a little big for the neck and neither of them have good mobility on it (although neither does my Doll Leaves Vanesa head x.x). The resin match is closer to Iple NS (2014 EID model body/2015 hands batch) than doll leaves too... DL is much too yellow (though my girl might have changed a bit since I got her in 2013 although she's mostly been kept in her box). I have plans to get them some FL f60 bodies. Worried the resin wont be as close as a match as the older resins were though.
