1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Souldoll Souloid discussion part 1

Sep 15, 2011

    1. Yep both pairs of feet. The original sets came with weird feet covering things that only worked with the human feet, so mine wore the human feet for a while. However, I chipped the resin on the ankle on one side, it made me so sad that I switched him back to his robot feet....my husband says it makes more sense that way anyway :P

    2. Sorry it took so long but, I finally got around and took a picture of Fairyland's Miyu and 2x Siean on Souloid bodies. I hope this helps you! click here!

    3. Waaah! That is perfect, thank you! How are the heads attached? Did you use the Minifee neckpiece, or did you rig something to keep them on? It looks like the Siean head might be too small, I might have to re-think my plan. :sweat

    4. Since I didn't want to take them apart and put the neck pieces just for picture, I just sat the heads on the neck, but you will need to add the pieces to the body to keep the head on.

      and

......I kind-of-like how Sieans' head looks on the body.:)

    5. The minifee neck pieces are hard to remove! Since my Iraki head is a hybrid on a minifee body, I had to remove the neckpiece from the body..ugh that was such a pain! I had to bend the hook off of it.

    6. I completely understand about not wanting to put on a neckpiece, they are a pain in the butt. I removed it on one of my boys once for a joke picture and regretted it, and I never wanted to do it again. I have both an extra neckpiece and a couple donuts to rig the heads onto other bodies, and when I finally do get my boy, I'll have the choice to be either lazy or ambitious.
I do like the Siean head on the body as well. I am very excited! :D He'll be taller than his brothers, which is what I wanted. I love my Minifees, but the boys don't have much diversity in height. Once I got a few, I started wishing a few could be taller and shorter.

    7. Yes, those neck pieces are a big pain in the butt, and I know what you mean, I love having different sizes too.

I'm still debating if I should get another Souloid,.... I would really like to get one of the big guys but at the moment they are way out of my price range.

    8. It's been getting harder to resist Diget! Arghh I already have 3 dolls on layaway why must this tempt me so :?
Is there any dealer that offer layaway for souldoll? Preferably with cheap shipping option to US too XD

    9. Hmm Minifee heads look Surprisingly good on souloid bodies. Thanks MrsDiablo for sharing.

And Celes wants to say hello. :)

    10. Larza is she blue??

    11. I am having the same problem! I am in love with Kowalski, but there's no way I can get him. I asked Souldoll if they'd allow a six month layaway, and they said that even if I got six months, I'd still need a $500 deposit. But I still couldn't afford the payments for both Kowalski and Diget, even with that. D:
Also, my darling said he'd be really mad if I spent that much at once on a doll right now. >_> Despite that, I am still trying to find the money. XD

    12. Yikes!..... Its to bad DDE doesn't offer them anymore!:( I would-of-love to do layaway with them!

    13. Yeah she is blue but I have just blushed her to blue. That took some time but I succeed to make her look like naturally blue. :) Her original color was white.

    14. She's great! The blue is very convincing.

    15. Alice's Collections sells Souldoll and takes layaway

    16. Oh my, that blue is very nice, I was convinced she was a dye job! :3

Alice's Collections does take a layaway? I've never seen their layaway info, that is so much trouble. D: I could order my boy and get him a SPO outfit. >_> Hm...

    17. skyealloway andPandy thank you. :) Bad side on only blushing compared to real dyeing is that the blush starts to scratch away on areas near her joints but it's ok because I'm not sure if I want her to be always blue so didn't want to dye her. And well I can always re-blush her.

    18. Sharing this photo that a gal at the doll meet I went to recently took, she really captured the steel skin beautifully!

    19. that steel skin is amazing skyealloway!

I'm considering the white skin option for the lower part since it's cheaper though. Does anyone know if pictures of the white lower part exist? XD thinkng to paint it myself, what kinda method would you guys recommend? Can I paint it with brush lol or does it have to be airbrushed to get similar texture like the steel version.

    20. When the dolls first came out, I saw a blank White skin version go up for sale in the MP..but I don't think I've ever seen a blushed WS. That'd be interesting to see!
