Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. Thank you Tokoz for sharing pictures of your Dara, I am still waiting for mine in ns, and I have to admit I hope she will have such a marbling effects on the metal parts, I find them really nice.
      I am still unsure about her head and I may have it modded or use the body for another head (that I have yet to find...), but I'll know for sure when I receive her :)

    2. My new Diget won't be getting a face up until the weather here improves, but I thought I'd drop by this thread to intoduce him anyway. I love the male souloid body!

    4. Got my Dara this week! I love the body sculpting, but my Dara's body has the same streaking on the steel skin parts Tokoz had in their box opening. I'm not sure how I feel about it. She'll be blushed eventually, but right now it's really, really obvious.

      I know Souldoll said that there would be some marbling with their darker resin, and I would have been fine with that, but I think this goes beyond 'marbling'. Thinking about contacting Souldoll, not that I think they'll be able to do anything.

      Can somebody confirm that the streaking was only with this batch of Dara/Diget, or if it's always been a feature of Souldoll's steel skin?


      Edit: Here's a photo of Rhode! Sorry for the terrible indoor lighting; it's raining outside. (That's a LUTS KDF WS head on the Dara body; resin match is 90% with LUTS WS being a tad pinker. Proportions are nice.)

      I also took some close-up photos of the streaking on her torso and legs; these are unedited photos taken with indoor lighting. The streaking is most obvious on the torso but extends down to her feet.

    5. I have a Souloid boy from 2012, and while there isn't as much as yours have, he definitely has some streaking including obvious stripes on the legs. It's normal for the steel skin, but the amount seems to vary from doll to doll.

    8. WoW, Tokoz, Shien, that marbling looks really massive on both girls... :( I don't seem to remember this much discoloration in the first few batches, though I only saw pictures of others' dolls.

      But I guess now I'm glad that Walter's black parts don't seem to have this issue...

    9. My Diget came in this week, and he also has very prominent marbling. It's most visible on his legs. He also has a chip out of the back of his torso. I'm not thrilled.

    10. Sorry to hear about your Diget. It's worth trying to contact Souldoll, at least about the chip - they didn't want to do anything about the marbling on my Dara, which I kind of expected, but she didn't have any chips or damage.

      I do think they make lovely dolls, but I probably won't order steel skin from them again.

      Thought if you want the full set thought (minus clothes), Doll Peddlar still carries one in-stock. They also still have the clothes separately. I also believe they take layaway.

    17. I've talked to them about doing a layaway, but I won't be able to make the first payment on him till next month ; ^ ; Hopefully he'll last that long, he's become my first grail!

      Him having the factory face up is perfect, too- I love Souldoll's faceups, and his promo photos are breathtaking. It's too bad he doesn't have the outfit, but I have things I want to put on him anyway, ahahah.
