Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Souldoll Souloid discussion part 1

Sep 15, 2011

    1. @Tide N Thyme Ooooh. Lovely. I don't think I've seen any of the girls in silver and blank (or at least in a while). Makes me a tiiiiny bit regretful I never really considered the girls.
Will they keep their hair colors or is that a temp set-up? :3

    2. Hello to all members! I want to know who has a souloid Phiel? Please show here the photo! I’ve been looking for this doll for a long time, so far without success ....

    3. I have a Phiel but I don't have the Phiel head on the Souloid body. Warrick is a Titika head on the gold mechanic body. The Phiel head belongs to Kheima and is going to be on a Dream Valley 3-arm body (the body is in production right now and I'm looking at roughly a January/February delivery date I think).

This is Tohan and Warrick. Warrick has the default SD face-up for the Titika head.

    4. Iron_Dog, thank you very much for the photo! The gold mechanical body is so gorgeos! And Warrick
      is amazing boy!

    5. I really like the re-designed body. The attention to detail is amazing. The "screws" actually look real! That body is the resin colour, BTW. His body is not blushed/painted in any way. The faint banding you see is also the result of the resin being poured.

    6. Iron_Dog, yes, I read that the mechanic parts are made of metallized resin. It looks very impressive! By the way, I think that new mechanic body looks very sexy, I often admire promo photos:roll: Besides Phil, I still really like the previous pair of souloids - Diget and Dara. It’s unfortunate that the company has not released new souloid dolls for a long time...

    7. I was really happy to be able to purchase him since I didn't have the cash on hand when the others were released. Someone in my local doll group has one of the previously released boys in tan skin with black cyborg parts and he looks amazing in that combo.

    8. Tan skin with black cyborg parts - probably it's Kowalski.Oh yes he's a super cool cyborg! But I like the pretty golden boy more))

    9. Yes, that sounds familiar. Haven't seen that doll in a while though. But usually local meets end up being on a Sunday and I play Starfinder all day Sunday so generally can't go.

    10. If he’s msd sized it‘s actually Walter. He’s the only MSD Souloid that got the black mecha parts release.

I actually have a Walter tan upper part on the golden Phiel body and a Diget in white/silver. Still hoping to one day maybe also own a white and black mecha body of the boys.

    11. Yes, the other one in my local group is an MSD. I actually narrowly missed succumbing to temptation (and insanity) of a Billion that was for sale after Think Pink closed. I was going to message them on FB about him but somebody had put him on layaway. My wallet was extremely grateful as his asking price was $1300US and that would've translated to $2000CAN.

    12. Of course, this is Walter! He is also a very handsome boy. Snowy, can you show photos of your Walter and Diget?

    13. Iron_Dog, Billian is gorgeous, but too brutal for me. And yes, the price is just unrealistic:horror: I'm looking for a golden Phiel, I really regret that I did not have time to buy it during the release ... Recently, it was sold on Marketplace, a seller from Russia (like me), but again I did not have time ...

    14. Oh my, i can understand that evil temptation. I nearly did the same with Kowalski, whose style I totally digged. In my case luckily his size made me decide against him. I had had hope they might do a Vito Souloid like him, but... Doesn’t seem like it.

Since getting any Souloid has been actually tricky and rare to begin with these past years, I decided to take matters in my own hands last year and did a larger project to make my own.
He‘s still in need of a bit of an overhaul, but overall I‘m happy with how he turned out.

So here is a brand new pic of Qu (Souloid Diget), Core (Souloid Walter/Phiel) and ZeroOne (Akagidoll Janz).

Still hoping for Souldoll to release more in the future again. Phiel and the girl were a sudden, unexpected surprise and it would be a shame to use that cast only once :3

    15. Snowy, what gorgeous charismatic guys! Walter's tan skin looks so beautiful! I am fascinated by the combination of living human and mechanic parts. And I also hope that the company will delight us with new Souloid dolls, I really look forward to this!

    16. @Katy3692 Thank you :D Yes, the tan is very beautiful. I like how warm it is and I surprisingly end up enjoying it a lot more with the gold than I like the default black. Probably because the tan-gold-combo is simply something I enjoy in general ^^

Part of the reason why I want a white Souloid is, to let it seem like there are even more human parts combined with the mechanical ones. I kind of really dig that style.

And yes, here's hoping and occassionally poking Souldoll about it, so they are aware there is still interest about them.

    17. I might be in trouble if they ever did one in Vito size.

    18. @Iron_Dog I doubt you'd be alone with that XD If I had a cheap 2nd hand Vito, I'd probably try to come up with a concept and get to work :P

    19. Snowy, I especially like the combination of tanned human skin and metal parts. So you want to make a completely white doll? Very interesting idea! I think the mechanic parts will look like they are covered in human skin.
Souloids are amazing creatures! They do not look like artificial soulless mechanisms, this is some kind of special race.
And yes, we must often remind the Souldoll that we want to see from them new souloids!:D

    20. Warrick is sort of a special race. He, and other cyborgs like him, are an engineered race designed to function as soldiers/bodyguards. Granted, they are viewed as property and not beings with rights (which really made Moswen, Warrick's partner, boiling mad) but they are a unique species. The mecha parts are a chassis they slide into. The bio parts are engineered so that they're never gestated with with legs and their bones are harder and denser than normal bones even before they go through a series of treatments to reinforce them. Wetware is implanted in their head when they're toddlers.
