Sky: wow I really love your Iraki's face up. I hope mine comes out decent since it will be my first time doing a face up on my own T_T! YukiCross That's a nice shirt your guy is wearing, what's it from? I've done several faceups on my own dolls. Iraki was fun to paint, thou, since his face has a lot of shape and definition. I think it helps you get his features lined up right ^_^
Skyealloway: Its actually from this outfit fullset I found on the MP one day http://dollmore.net/shop/step1.php?number=4380 It was made by Anotherspace i think? but i can't put the full outfit on because i only have one left foot (since they sent me two left feet) I need to wait for his lower human body i also ordered and the right foot they are sending me Still i think he looks cool with just the under shirt/coat part.
I Guess I'll show you All my handsome boy. His name is Dorian, he still needs eyebrows. After the con I brought him to his body blushing got all chipped which is a little disappointing. Hopefully I'll have time to redo it soon. What do ya'll think?
aww that's sad about the body blushing chipping. did you do it yourself? Its so interesting, seeing how everyone has such a different take on what a cyborg bjd could look like! I'd like to see a close up of his faceup ^_^

OMG Souldoll has 2 new Souloids up! And they aren't limited!!!!!!!!!!! Plus there's the sleeping head option! We got a boy and a girl people! An and Rachel! I love AN's sleeping head!

It can look metallic if you use metallic coloured PearlEx - bronze, gold, silver etc. and use it not as a powder (as with pastels), but instead mix it into gloss and paint it on. Might take a couple of layers to look good. Using sealant on top of it - and I tried with Citadel too - will make it matte, but still metal coloured then. It looks better without spray-on sealant though, just another coat of clear gloss. At least it worked for me this way ^^ And I am sooo happy that they offer steel-skinned Souloids again! I've been waiting for that ^^
I'm definitely going to be bringing a Rachel home. I squee'd when I was the female body was available in full white skin! Her pouty little face is just so precious X33 I'm just waiting for DDE to update their website so I can put her on a 4 month layaway! I'm sure they're probably getting tired of all the new Souloids, what with just thinking about all the emails they get about "is it shipped yet?" XDD
Arg, I am still hoping they will release the female Souloid body a-la-carte... I want one with a white-skin human part so I can make a sweet sexy hybrid of a Rosette girl ^^
I wonder if getting a Sleeping Rachel head would be an option for those who get Rachel? The Souldoll website shows S. Rachel as souldout....... SO excited for these new Souloids!
That is a good idea!! I'd like an A-la-cart girl souloid body too.. I feel like the Rachel face is fairly similar to the Ier face.....teenie tiny lips! Overall, thou, I really like the styling of the Rachels. The harness-bussel is win! Which leads me to be very sad with the An outfits....booo more weird jackets. Want new outfits! I'd accept a harness-y backpack, or hip pack. Or cloak. Or hot-pants! wif widdle pockets! (apparently, I need to find time to sew some stuff.....) I am also happy with the return of the white + steel skin options. Lady cyborg, you tempt me still!
Ah more souloids D: and they're so pretty @.@ though I don't quite understand why Rachel has redish blushing with a turquiose outfit and the sleeping rachel has blueish blushing with a pink outfit? Rachels one kinda clashes a bit. you'd think they would have swapped outfits maybe? But I'm just nitpicking, they are lovely and I'm so glad they aren't limited lol Oh phew I'm glad the silver still looks metallic XD I was gonna try again with the blushing but when I started cleaning her off the lines and indents still had blue in them and it looks alright ^.^ (like a drybrushing effect) Mixing it in with the gloss sounds interesting though, I'll try that
Originally I though An was a girl, until I scrolled down and saw the male body. Kinda saddening, I wonder if SoulDoll would swap the two? O.o One thing is for sure though, with the white skin being back, it'll be MUCH easier to make hybrids! 8D
I'm so in love with Sleeping AN, it's not funny.. He has to come home! *definitely saving for him* My only beef is that he only comes in white skin... ;A; I'm not too fond of WS, guess I'll suck it up for that cutie~~
I absolutely adore the new Souloids! 8D I'm having a very hard time deciding which two I want. Right now I think i'm gonna go for a dreaming Rachel and a normal An. But it's hard to choose. I actually think the contrast between eg. the pink outfit and the blue blushing makes the colors more visible, it draws them out. I think if the sleeping Rachel had been wearing the turquoise outfit the two similar hues would have blended together to a kind of bland expression - the contrast makes the colorwork more vivid. ^^
Yes the sleeping rachel outfit is a nice contrast ^.^, I meant that the rusty colours and bright red bits on Rachel's legs look kinda odd against the pastel turquoise of her outfit, but like I said I'm just nitpicking
