Ah, they have finally sorted out the problem with adding her to the cart. I can't get her because I am moving in a small flat () where space will be a major problem, which means that larger dolls are a no-no from now on. However, I have asked Souldoll for pictures of her in WS because I am curious how much she will differ from mint counterpart.

 

I'd love to see her in WS too.
I've decided I need her. Does anyone here have any colored souldolls that can attest to the quality?
It worries me that they had this to say (particularly the part I bolded):

Are they delicate and prone to scratching like some tan dolls?

 

I have the Tarot doll Kayla (purple resin) and I've found no problems with her whatsoever!
I am very delicate with my dolls and don't take them outside or anything, so hopefully someone who's more playful with their dolls can give you their opinion too!

Oh my goodness, I've only got Celina, but she's definitely a sturdy girl, and I adore her color!


I've toted her to a few public places, and she's quite together--I did have to restring her directly after arrival and I was terrified I would chip her just getting her unstrung, she was so tight, but no worries there, it's just been love.

I do desperately love my Ceres (Kayla), and I really want to be able to bring my Aya (Bliss) home!
They'd be so stunning together!

But yes, honestly.... Souldoll do an amazing job.
They outdo most companies with these limited dolls, and you won't be disappointed!!!

 

I've never paid much attention to Souldoll before, but I think I really like both Bliss and Bliarde! I usually don't like smiling female dolls, but Bliss is adorable and Bliarde looks great with her. I'd like them more as a brother/sister pair, though. Anyway, for those of you who've been following their Tarot collection, are these dolls really difficult to find later at a decent price? I did a quick MP check and didn't see many listings for the previous releases.

 

It's been typically my experience, and I'm sad to say this, that if you want one, you should get it during the order period. It's not unheard-of to buy on the MP, but Souldoll's Tarot series has had an inconsistent following, so you may not luck out--that and the people who buy them are usually much more dedicated to keeping them than, say, a Soom offering may be.

I have Leira, and she is wonderful-----very sturdy girl. I've taken her to a number of meets, and she is just a true joy.

I really wish they would do more of the fantasty colors in the Zenith line----mostly the girls.

Not a problem, and remember there are some dealers who offer Souldoll--I will likely be going through Denver Dolls to get mine, I got my lovely Celina from them, and they were outstanding! They may have layaway options that are friendlier to you--DDE has a 20% down and the rest due on arrival and a 4-part layaway option, as an example!

heidipay: It slipped my mind that Denverdoll carries Souldoll-that would save a bit on shipping at least, and I've ordered from them often in the past. Your Celina is gorgeous, by the way! I especially like how her face-up stands out even on the darker skin-tone.

 

Yes, she's custom-blushed by Meggilu, who was wonderful and did a really warm-colored faceup that was at contrast with a lot of the Celinas I'd seen--it's why I am positive Bliss' blushing on the mint resin would be so fantastic in-person--colored resin can take some amazing blushing completely in stride! But I'm trying to set my house in order to start a Bliarde layaway--I just have to have him here, I can't even say, I'm just working out some faceup concerns.

DDE's been fantastic, I must've spammed them about a half-dozen times with questions, so I think they're confident I will be ordering from them, LOLOL! It's just so much easier with the extra layaway payment to budget on, plus cheaper shipping, as you've noted...

heidipayThat's one of the things that drew me to Bliss too-the dramatic pink blushing against the mint green resin. I kind of wish Bliarde had that too (I like girly guys). I think both of them have incredible looking face-ups overall, though. What options are you going to get with Bliarde? If I'm able to get them (which is really uncertain at this point), I'd like both of them in mint skin with face-ups/clothes and maybe the wigs. I like all the other stuff too, but I'm trying to keep the price down, and not getting blushing/hair decos/shoes/weapons saves quite a bit.

 

I'm actually considering asking them, through Denver Dolls, to customize Bliarde's faceup a little. If you read through the fine print at the bottom of the Souldoll page they seem to indicate they're open to custom requests, but Denver Doll said Souldoll's English isn't great, so it can be very difficult to communicate that kind of request to them! A couple of people way better at photoshop than I am have done some mockups, I may try sending those as non-verbal examples of what I'm looking for.

Other than that, I'm doing layaway for sure, so I figured I would go whole-hog and get him fullset. I love all the concept, the clothes, the bow, the hairpiece charms me, although part of me knows it must be silly, LOL! So I'll see if I can manage all of him in increments. DDE said it would be a minimum of 10 weeks for him to ship, so with 4-part layaway over 12 weeks, I should be all right and have him arrive shortly after I'm done, hope-hope.

heidipay: I wish I could do photoshop mock-ups-it would help a lot if I ever ordered a custom face-up from a company. Are you wanting his face-up completely different or just a few minor changes? I might try asking for more blush if I decide to get him, since that's not too complicated and I wouldn't be upset if it was ignored.

I like the hairpieces too! I just can't see myself paying for them, though. I've gotten over sticker stock for actual dolls by now, but I'm usually hesitant about buying extras. I've given myself a no-layaway policy, but I think I'd have to make an exception here if I do decide to get both.
