SoulDoll Tarot series speculation and discussion thread~

LOLOL! I am quite comfy with layaways, I dislike credit cards. To me a layaway isn't credit, as I'm not 'getting' something I haven't paid for, but I've asked for something to be put aside for me with the expectation of future payment, I can usually buy the things I have on layaway, but I hate spending so much money at a given time when life's emergencies can crop up...so I like the comfort zone. This month, the comfort zone was quite needed, as it turned out. I have high hopes for August.

I've uploaded one of the mock-ups to Photobucket, so this is what I'm looking to have done, although I like the eyes and would like them as-is. There's a touch of blushing on the nose, and the cheeks are blushed more heavily--also the leaf has been heavily discussed, and I'm sure Souldoll will balk completely, but it's more in-theme with what I have in mind for him.


So not a complete departure, I'm not sure if this photo shows it, but I love-love-love everything about the default faceup's eye area, I just think the rest of him feels unfinished.

It's seem like I have to let Bliarde pass, because of his size. Yesterday I build together my MD Heliot, who should have been his lover. (I bought Heliot in pieces through the last year and this weekend the body has come home) Well I've known that Heliot is bigger than Bliarde, but thought well 3,5cm could be ok, but the problem is that the MD Heliot is 67,5cm high, although I feel like he is bigger than 67,5cm (human, hooved he is even bigger), so he is towering the normal Super Gems http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/281336_239940446026828_100000326220884_813656_2814936_n.jpg

Well he even looks good next to my Idealians, so I fear that Bliarde will look like a school boy next to him. *sigh* Why on earth isn't Souldoll releasing the Tarot Series as Zenith size.... WHY Double size..... I would love to get a Bliarde, but without a partner for him it's difficult.... seems like I have to wait for Soom to release a green skin SG for my plans.... *cry*

 

heidpay: That mock-up looks great! It's a positive, but subtle change and the leaf seems to really fit in well with the overall theme of Souldoll's photoshoot. Oddly enough, I didn't even notice the leaf until I read your text. I agree with you about how great the make-up around his eyes is, and his cheek area is a bit bland in comparison. My problem with layaway is that I got sucked into too many at once, so I've tried to avoid them. I had about 4 going at the same time and then had $650 worth of car problems when layaway payments were due. I do think in cases where the price is high, layaway can be a big help, though!

 

I couldn't agree more with layaways, it's like sometimes your mind doesn't add up 4 $150 a month layaways (just say) with you spending $600 a month, logically. I'm on just a couple of doll layaways right now and my Soom Auber and my Leeke Ent will both be up next month! So it seems a goodish time to throw Bliarde into the mix.

I'm not sure they will be able to do the leaf...but I figure it won't hurt to ask, it's true, his cheeks are like a big empty field by comparison to his super-moody eyes...so even if they just blush him in a bit it would help me out soooo much...

Exactly! It's difficult to avoid layaway when there are too many limiteds out at once though. Congrats on nearly paying off your Auber and Ent! One thing good about layaway is that the wait doesn't seem as long, at least to me.

Have you seen other custom Souldoll face-ups? I'm curious about how closely they follow requests. I would guess that adding the blush wouldn't be a problem, especially since you have a picture to show them exactly how you want it.

I have Bliarde on layaway at DDE, I know it will take some time but the extra layaway payment I get with them is golden! However they checked with Souldoll and confirmed that, contrary to the page listing, they actually will not customize a LE faceup, so I will have to send my guy off for additional work if I'm going to get my lovely golden leaf. I will evaluate once I actually have him in-hand, maybe Souldoll will pink him up a little anyway? Is anyone else considering him? Only a couple of weeks left in the order period!

/wakes this thread up even though I myself don't have a Souldoll Tarot (yet, with any luck.xD; ).

So, uh, I'm trying to complete the Souldoll listings at DoA and it's probably a small nit-pick but...did anyone else notice Souldoll listed The Lovers as 9?O_o Same as The Hermit? I checked Wikipedia and The Lovers are supposed to be 6.xD; Should I list them as 9 or 6 then..?

But back on topic, I wonder when the next release will be...and which card it'll be...and what color!xD;

 

I was stunned when I saw the hanged man "kyle" and I really wanted to order him before he's away...
but when I asked the shipping costs of 60€ i made up my mind.
I have got a DollZone "Alpha" now, but iam sure, when I find an in-beween-trader, where i can pay to local shipping costs, i will get a doll from the tarot-series too.... *dreeming away*

Aaam I the only one who thinks Bliarde looks like a green Edward Cullin? ...just a bit?

Anyway I'm really hoping they come out with another Zenith girl. One with a sculpt like Leira's, with teeth an full lips and long legs! A Double would be cool too. Maybe as the Star or Temperance.

I am wondering if they are going to release that myserious "Souloid" before they release another Tarot doll--but I am also hoping for a Zenith girl to take my breath away I have a Zenith Agnetha and I gotta say they have gorgeous proportions and fantastic posability! Plus they fit all my Super Gem clothing Which is great because I actually don't like most of Souldoll's fashions =/ They are usually quite a bit too frilly for my tastes, even with the Tarot dolls.

 

I want a Soulkid girl tarot doll already in some wonderful resin colour!

The Souloid Iraki looks like a humanoid robot yes? I am curious to know what his face will look like.

 

Has anyone gotten their bliarde yet? For me they said they'd ship him in 2 weeks...3 week ago. xD

Oh well, i just need to wait a bit more.

 

LOL! I am making my final payment on him this week, but I ordered from Denver Dolls, so whenever their monthly shipment or whatnot, I'll be hopeful he shows up. I'd die to get him by Christmas!

Is your boy blank or did you get some of the 'fixins' too?

I ordered him blank, but they offered me a face up since they're so late. (they were supposed to send them in 2 months, but I asked about the doll in 3rd month) But unfortunately, I have bit different faceup thought for him.

I'm in no hurry anymore, since I wanted to have him for halloween (he will be a zombie character..) but as that went already, there's no hurry..
