1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Souldoll Vito (50cm) Discussion - Part 4

Apr 26, 2017

    1. @petiteballerine : Yes, I like a lot Souldoll default makeup ^^ But I hesitate between Liam and Jacob now...
I agree with you, the big buttons are very weird =$

@Iron_Dog : Did you watch the waitlist ? I know this does not represent all their orders but it looks like they are catching up.

    2. I hadn't checked the wait list here. Might take a wander on over and see what's what.

    3. Usually when there is big event, SD can take more than estimated time theybput on their website. Last time I order Vito body only, and take 5 month layaway, I though they will start nake my doll after my 5th layaway finish, and my estimation is 5+2 or 3 month again I'll receive my order, but once my layaway finish, they send it in the next 1-2 weeks afterthat, so I guess they did finish my doll long before I finish my layaway

    4. Hello!
I'm waiting for my vito kids to arrive from their face up place soon! I'll probably show up on this thread again from now on :celebrate

Just wondering when you guys buy stuffs for your vito (that's not clothing or wig) do you go for the 1/4 scale or 1/3 scale?
I'm planning on investing some budget for furniture to create a display but is still in doubt of the scale I should be going for!

    5. Just dropping this here in case it helps anyone; a Lillycat Loolou head on a Souldoll Vito girl body.

    6. Just in case anybody is interested... With MoC closing, I bought an HZ 60cm outfit for one of my guys. But, it didn't fit him because he's way too muscular (Miro 60cm body), much to my disappointment. I played musical outfits for a bit trying to find somebody in my crew that would wear it and have it fit. On a whim, I tried it on Eilam. Lo and behold! It fits!
[IMG]Eilam by ID Locke, on Flickr

It is juuuuuust a hair big at the sides and the skirt thingie is a little large at the waist. The long ends of the top and the point of the skirt touch the floor but I don't think that matters and it actually looks like it is supposed to do that. I can't comment on pants as the outfit didn't come with pants and I didn't think to swap out the pants I made him for the the separate pair of HZ pants I bought at the same time. The pants would likely be long but they might fit semi-decently. I can try them on Eilam if anybody is curious.

And question! Does anyone know if the Vito girl heel feet will fit on the Vito boys ok? I have an awesome pair of thigh-high boots i'd like to slap on Eilam but they require heel feet and the ones I have... I don't think they'll fit his ankle socket. I don't care if he can stand unaided in them or not. It's purely for the aesthetic of them.

    7. I had no idea there was such a list. Where can I see it?

    8. (You can just take his feet off and put paper stops in there to keep the elastics in place, and stuff them in the boots ;) )

    9. @fishcake I never even thought of that. I mean it would be nice if he could stand but if he's just lounging around looking gorgeous....

    10. Hello, I have both vito girl and boy and I took some photo for you : )

Here is the feet comparison, my boy is in normal skin, blushed. The feet parts are in white skin and not blushed.

It will surely create some chip on the parts because the edges are not in the same shape.

Since the heel feet parts are smaller, you can move them a little so they have the best look and not scratching with the legs, but they tend to slip easily and go back to the over-lapping position as the photo shown above.

The weight is definitely something to take in consideration. I think standing him is very risky since he can falls over anytime but as in technical way, yes, he can stand.

      Hope this help :)

    11. @yumenomisu Oh my goodness! That is an awesome help. Thank you very much for the pics. I def don't want to risk chipping his ankles, which could very well be a thing given the feet would need to slide into boots. The going in part would be fine, but taking the boot off would likely result in the foot being pulled a little from the joint because of the tightness and then snapping back a bit.

What is up with doll companies making their girl heeled feet not easily compatible with the boy ankles? *sighs* Iple did this with their FID's, too, and my FID boy demands proper heeled shoes as is the current fashion among his people.

    12. I don't think the need for high heeled feet for the guys occurs to them! A least Soom has started making heeled feet for the big guys occasionally. Those feet don't look bad on Vito. You could use some silicone kips or make some adapters out of Apoxie sclupt.

    13. Hi,
I use Zenith girl high heel feet on my Vito boy.
The feet is compatible with the ankle, but the ball is a little big. It could be sanded a little for a better fit, but I don't mind it personally.
I think they look fine on him.
      I took some pictures.

    16. @flivine Those feet do look rather good on him. Excellent! Thank you for the pics and the recc for using them. I think I will need to throw a little money at SD for some heeled feet. I saw that they measure out as 8cm x 3cm; how hard/easy is it to find shoes in that size? I have zero clue on this as I've no girls at all.

    17. @Iron_Dog NP^^ Glad I could help~!
Unfortunately, I can't tell, I have no girls in 60+cm size.. I bought the shoes he wears from SoulDoll ><

    18. Hmmm. I have no idea of the maker of the awesome boots I have as I bought them probably 7? 8? years ago. I'll need to measure them to see what they are. And perhaps browse the SD site to see it any boots tweak me for Eilam. It's not 100% necessary for him, but Valerian (Iple FID) really NEEDS heeled feet and because of his odd size for a boy (49cm) it's tough to find him shoes. Naturally, the FID girl feet don't fit the boys *sigh* but the RS 1/3 feet might?

I swear, shoeing my dolls (not just heels but shoes in general) is the bane of my existence.

    19. Another option you can try if you are even sort of handy with sculpey is make a crude heely foot with a ball and a hook up top (be sure the hook is attached to an embedded wire, because it will have a lot of tension on it, and cook it 20-25 minutes for the extra thickness of the sculpey. (You can also cheat with an aluminium foil core). The idea is that it will be inside the boot, so it can look like a flipper, but be a secure base for the doll to put his weight on. The biggest plus is you can get a custom fit on the ankle ball this way.

    20. I love how handy/inventive everybody is. That is just amazeballs. Thanks everybody for all the suggestions.
