Souldoll Vito (50cm) Discussion - Part 4

Oh yes. I completely understand that obsessive order checking. I routinely check Dollshe and Granado for the boys I currently have on-order (paid in full, but production time is.... god only knows with Dollshe and the Granado is one of the crowdfund boys so....). I've also got a Miracle Doll on-order but don't expect him until sometime in October at the earliest *sigh*. And I just bought a doll 2nd hand but yea! for immediate (more-or-less) gratification on him arriving home.

With all my recent doll purchases *guilty look*, I'm having a really tough debate with myself over ordering Ra-Sui's body during this event. Due to the crap-tacular CAN$, getting free shipping is a big cost saver for me. Eilam's shipping last year was $53US/$75CAN so if I can save that for Ra-Sui's body, it's a very tempting thing. While the Vito body is $300US, that works out to roughly $400CAN. *sigh* Still not sure if I should hit that buy button this time around or wait for the next sale, which would probably be around Xmas time, I think.

Well, I didn't bite on the event so poor Ra-Sui will be bodyless for a while longer. Good thing he's a patient guy. I'm guessing the next event will be around Xmas?

She is so pretty! I'm glad that Freya was not discontinued. She's one of my fave girls. Maybe I'll have one someday.

 

Does anyone have a 55cm Dollshe and a vito and can do a side-by-side comparison? I am really curious as to how they look proportionally next to each other!

 

I could be mistaken about this, but I think the 55cm is a new scale for Dollshe. I'm not sure if anyone has one yet...

 

Ah, are they? I just saw BJDDivas talk about them in a sale, but I don't really keep up with Dollshe since I don't really have SDs and I am not interested in fashion doll-sized MSD since they wouldn't be too fitting for the rest of my dolls since their heads are so small!
The most I got is that apparently their heads are 6.5-7" inch?

 

The 55cm dolls from Dollshe were released around two months ago I think. Being Dollshe, it's probably another ten before any of these ship

 

I have ordered a 55cm Dollshe when they were first put up for sale. I'm hopeful it doesn't take a year to get but I'm not holding my breath because Dollshe. Whenever it happens that I get him, if you're still interested/curious, I can snap pics.

If you want a general size-ish thing, I do have a DF-A boy who is 55cm and I could take a pic of him next to Eilam to give you an idea of heights between the 2. I believe the head size would be different as Arjan (DF-A) takes an 8/9 wig and I'm guessing the Dollshe will take a size more in line with the Vito sized head (but nobody knows wig/eye size yet so....).

That would be lovely! And yeah, I have heard of the terrible Dollshe wait before, ahaha. I don't collect SD so it never really concerned me, but when I found out about the 55cm, I was curious since Aramis, Amanda, and Bermann look quite nice.

I am okay with the height difference so I don't need such a comparison but I appreciate it! That is interesting DF-A has a a smaller boy body though! I hope they come out with a girl one, too - I only know of the Souldoll Double & Zaoll Luv for the 50-55cm "standard proportioned" SD girls.

On a more vito-specific question though, does anyone have a Vito Girl and had any luck finding clothing from other "intended" sizes? Like Zaoll Luv?

 

@Epona There are others! Granted, they're mostly limited but there are others in that sweet-spot size of 50-55cm for boys. Soom ID51 (51cm-limited), Batchix Morpheous/St. George/Dark Elf (52cm-limited & currently long sold out), Aggati (51/52cm, I think,-limited order periods), Unoa Elder (50cm-limited order periods? only 2 boys), Obitsu (50cm-always available).

Ever so slightly smaller than 50cm are Iple Creaa-J (49.5cm-semi-regular bi-monthly order periods but only 2 boys), Iple FID (49cm-bi-monthly order periods), SD Kid (48cm-always available), SD Souloid (49cm-limited).

Most listed are more mature sculpts. The Obitsu boy is not really a mature body in my opinion and it doesn't have boy bits. The Unoa Elder boys have nice bodies but also lack boy bits for some weird reason.

If you wanted comparison shots, I have a Vito, Soom ID51, Iple Creaa-J, Iple FID, SD Souloid and I have one of the Granado 53cm Crowdfund Lucifer's (these were limited to this one time, apparently, so I didn't list him above) on his way home to me right now and I can take shots if you want.

He'll get repainted when the artist I'm eyeing reopens but for now we deal with the default faceup - he's a hybrid on a LUTS Model Delf body which has literally no resin match but that's why Adobe made Photoshop

He looks really cool with that face-up and I love the claw hands. Photoshop fixes a multitude of sins, I understand. I couldn't comment as I can't Photoshop my way out of a wet paper bag with a hole in the bottom....

Honestly, I'd love any comparisons!
I am hoping to get a Vito girl or two, and I do like some of the boys (Azrael, Lester, and Paw specifically) so I am hoping to get one or two, but... They're so buff so it's nice to see if there is any uh, less toned guys too, for hybrid purposes or to see offerings from other companies. XD I love Batchix Dark Elf but his head is more fashion sized, so it's quite small unfortunately though - at least, that was my impression from the photos I have seen of him previously.

 

I have multiple Vitos and they are all on non-Vito bodies - I got them on Dollshe Fashion (the 43cm ones), Iplehouse JID and LUTS MDF.

The Vito body is nice but a bit too tall so I only got one for a head who is supposed to be tall
