@Mahgiep Ahhh you are officially my hero! This is EXACTLY what I needed, thank you so much! Now to go measure my girl's face and find out what's what...

 

Does anyone have the vito girl double body? If so, I was wondering... how is the posing? I've seen and read very little of the newer vito girls (or, well, honestly vitos in general) and I recall the "no line" vito girl being effectively a ... welll... beautiful brick, so I am curious about the newer double vito girl.

I'll probably send souldoll an email in the meantime, but I am also curious... does the old souldoll vito girl heads fit the new body alright? Charlotte's head is a lot bigger than the old souldoll vito girls, so I wasn't sure if the new body is incompatible.

I have been having a hard time tracking another DIM GSE body for a souldoll hybrid I'm working on, and I'd like to be able to get another very tall body for my orc girl I am making... but if she would be compatible with the new vito body too, that might be a worthy second contender.

 

I have both Vito girl bodies. The new body is larger. I don’t think the old heads would look good on the new body.

 

@Epona : Maybe I can help! Keep in mind I don't really pose a ton of my dolls so I'm not the best judge but I do at least get them posed on stands.

I have the Tarot Riris Vito on the old vito body. All I can say is yes, she's very stiff - especially around the torso. Legs have little/to no mobility to sit or do anything but to stand straight up. Sitting is not very doable with the lack of slights at her thigh joints at the hit. Arms are somewhat ok... they have a bean to bend them, but it's very basic. She's a gorgeous figure... but that's about it. Since my Temperance Riris is more of an art doll I'm ok with her not being able to do squat.

I have a Souldoll Charlotte on the new vito girl body and it's definitely a better posting body. She can sit and hunch... still not a remarkable poser, but definitely more mobile that her predecessor. The head on this body is more larger than the old vito body. I think they could swap heads... but the neck fit might be different. I've never actually swapped heads between the girls. My Riris (old vito) is tiny... I think she'd look a bit pin headed on the newer body since it's slightly larger. If this is for Baby Pink I can try to take pics of a swap on the new Vito body?

 

I have a Vito Yola head I am hoping to use for it, actually! It's good to see there has been an improvement in posing!

I have several bodies that are on my "hybrid consideration list," but if the new vito girl body is compatible, it'll be one of the easiest bodies to get and the tallest one. If the old heads are compatible though... then perhaps Souldoll will eventually consider a Calia rerelease too. It's happened with Kyron and Devonia a few times at least... LOL.

 

So Souldoll just made an announcement that they're temporarily suspending sales of some bodies, including Vito. They mentioned redeveloping so I'm wondering, are we finally going to see a new version of the Vito boy body? I know the old one is nice, but I'd love to see a version with a few more posing enhancements, like a thigh mobility joint and maybe even elbows that can twist instead of only bending? (Actually, something with similar proportions to the new Huajing MSD uncle body would be lovely.) I just don't know how long a process that might be and I was planning on ordering my Vito boy during this winter event, if I can...

 

Update: I went ahead and started a layaway for Liam. The times are crazy and I wanted my boy to come home sooner rather than later. When the new body comes out, if I feel I can't live without it, I can get it for him then! In the meantime, I got my dream boy with the amazing free shipping deal and since sales for the body are being suspended on the 22nd, they said they would start production on him after my first payment. If anyone is thinking of getting a Vito, I'd definitely go for it now!

 

Dos anyone have any sense as to when the new Vito dolls might be available again???
I haven't been keeping up with this thread and when I went looking at the Souldoll web
pages there were no Vito dolls or clothing for them.

 

@TomB As far as I know, since they're suspending sales so that they can develop new bodies, I suppose they will be made available when the new bodies are released. They mentioned that it might be a long process or something to that effect, so we really have no way of knowing when. I think the heads are still available though, so if there's a sculpt you can't live without, it might be worth it to get the head and find some other body for it...

 

Aren't they having a head event right now where you can buy just a head? Or is that sale already over?

 

Looks like the head event is still on. I ordered Ha Do Yoon through BJDivas.

 

Any updates on when the Vito bodies will be back? Seems like it’s almost been a year since they stopped selling them.

 

@BirdieBurrito : Souldoll has hit some hard times. Their faceup artist became ill several months ago, and their main operator has been down with some complications from Covid since this month... dolls aren't going out and communication with Souldoll is extremely slow. Unfortunately I don't think the new bodies will be released any time soon. Many of us are just hoping they survive this low point they're in and deliver the large number of orders still outstanding.

 

Oh my goodness that's so sad to hear! I had no idea they were having it so rough. I really hope they pull through because their dolls are absolutely gorgeous and they've been around a long time.

 

Oh, gosh. I had no idea they were struggling. One of my favorite bjd companies.
I'm playing with my dolls but not buying this year, so I forget to check out sites.
If I weren't so lazy, and posting was easier on my phone, I'd share a pic. I'll work on it.

 

I really love their dolls, too. Most specifically the Vitos (I currently have 3 Vitos) but also the long discontinued Doubles (I have 2 Double boys that I managed to get 2nd hand) and the Souloids (I have the Phiel Gold Mechanic). I hope this is just a blip for them and they get back on track soon.

 

Me too. I was hoping to hybrid my Feeple60 head on their new girl body since I know a lot of people use them for their tan Minifee hybrids. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see but I really hope they come back soon!

 

I hope they get back on their feet soon. Many of us in the waiting room are pretty concerned... Right now I think the outstanding orders are over a 1+ year wait... I ordered a Vito Aspyn from them in July 2023 and she took 1 full year for delivery. Them being in trouble is so hard for me because they're probably 1 of 2 companies I actively follow and buy from right now. I'll be very sad if this turn of events hurts their business permanently.
