SOULDOLL Zenith Chiron Discussion - 70cm Centaur & Human versions

Nov 19, 2008

    1. If you've ever read John Varley's Titan series it wouldn't seem too strange.

All Titanides centaurs in those books have breasts like human women and can give birth from their horse body.
All have a large male horse genitalia. Titanides are classified as male or female based on the human organs at the base of the torso.
Because of these arrangements, a Titanide may have up to four "parents".
In the last book there is a very interesting section about their mating habits.

    2. Whoa...o.o

      *needs to read*

    3. XD Woah. It would be cool if the Souldoll centaur turned out to be based off of the titanides.

    4. As far as multiple genitalia, we would have to assume that he's keeping a single piece torso. It seems likely that the'll give him a hip joint with an optional human pelvis, similar to the Domadolls. Right now, there's no where for a single piece torso to "plug in" to the horse body. That's what I assumed seeing his parts in progress anyway.
      *hides*

    5. I agree. In the progress pics, it looks like the joint where the horse body meets the human torso has not been started yet. So there is no telling how yet they will deal with it. They may give him a lower joint, or they may not. Either way, they will probably not have him with two peens at the same time.....

    6. In the Q&A on Chrion it says:
From that I got the impression that the centaur body and the human body were entirely separate. As in the torso we are seeing is the human's torso and the centaur body's torso will be different.

    7. two week left to wait and we'll see what they got planning, but lordy doesn't it seem like a long time -.-

    8. John Varley! Heheh...I love him...

That WOULD make an interested BJD now, wouldn't it? Though I doooon't think Souldoll will go quite that far lol

    9. Loved that series! The parts with the Centaurs was my favorites. I thought it was very inventive race.

    10. well there you go- learn something new everyday :)

    11. Even though I'm not a big fan of centaurs or.. manly men *snorts* .. I am very exited about him! I wouldnt want one though. I'm just pleased that more companies than just Soom are looking out of the box.

How much MSC would that take to seal all the blushing up though? *_* dayum!

    12. i dunno what to think of those elf-like ears in the sketches though...
I'm not yet a fan of the elves. So I'm only hoping he comes with default human ears.
If he doesn't, that might just be the only thing keeping me from tearing into my bank account. XD~

    13. Ho man, I kinda want this doll, like epic badly afther looking at the WIP picktures x_x;;;;

so far for the new photo camera ?

    14. That's...... uncomfortably smexy. I am giving myself creepy feelings by liking the idea of this. *L* Its so wrong and yet so awesome... I apparently need moar thurapees.

As to the elf ears... resin is very easy to cut, sand and shape. If he doesnt come with ear options, you can always mod him human. =^_^= Ive done it a few times. So you neednt let that be a reason to keep your munnies.... *evil enabler* Muahaha.

Has anybody done any fakeups or sketches yet? I'm already drawing, thinking about where I'm gonna go with my centaur. I'd love to hear about everybody's plans...

    15. No, but that's an awesome idea! I should try that. See if there are any color schemes I would die for. :D

    16. good old print and cut

I used the ball joints as size reference to get all the parts the right size.

Being the horse person that I am his leg proportions are more giraffe than horse...I am thinking the body should be a bit longer and thicker to be more horse accurate.
and the man body looks too small but maybe I got that part wrong...though it is from the same shot as the horse body.

The legs are amazing though and would be cool to see someone build a percheron type bod for them.

a bit of articulated movement...NICE jointing on the legs.

    17. Wow, thanks PamSD. Sometimes paper and a glue stick are the only way to do it!

Yup, he is an odd looking creature. That horse torso is minuscule compared to those great big legs. I think the human torso is just about right, though (imagine it sunk up to the waist in the horse shoulders. Looked at from the front, the total height would be human-proportioned). Ah well, we just have to wait and see what it looks like when it's done.

    18. I'm still hoping he'll come in TAN. Then the horse parts can be liver chestnut or maybe a flaxen hair and tail.

Pam - that is a great idea. I keep forgetting that KISS. mean I was trying to use Paint and word. arghhhh. [now I feel a little embarrassed]

Oh. I just had a bad thought. Those legs would be acurate for a colt, right? The proportion would be more accurate to the lanky yearlings. THat would be perfect... pumped up guy with a "baby's legs". [snicker] sorry just had to say it.

    19. That's clever, PamSD! I think his human torso looks wonderful in proportion to the horse body. Though I do agree that the horse torso looks a little pinched in the middle. I though seeing the legs on the body would lend it a little more bulk, but apparently not.

Now I hope they will soon release progress pics of the head! :D

    20. AGREED. I'm so, so disappointed in the horse torso. The wimpy size of it ruins the whole thing for me. For example:

This is a young horse, but she's in proportion - and look at the size of her middle already! *_*
