1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

SoulDoll Zenith Discussion ~ Part II

Nov 12, 2014

    1. Hands and feet are hooked on the string with an S hook so you need something to hold the string in place when you change them because otherwise the string will go up the arm or up the leg.

    2. There is an amazing video on youtube about restringing 1/3 bjds. I'll try to find it then link it here.

Edit: Here it is! It's a really good quality video & it clearly shows the S-hooks Patrice S was talking about.

    3. I have been thinking that Isabel reminds me of some other dolls for a while, thinking about maybe fairyland. but now i think i have figured it out. she is like a prettier version of soom topaz i think, maybe with a hint of fairyland over her. what do you think?

    4. She certainly has something of a fey quality to her although it looks like her sculptor used to work for Iplehouse.

    5. Aaaaaaand.. so I also ordered Isabel *_* feel a bit crazy :P but she is sooo pretty, and i am a bit satisfied :P

    6. Hello, all! I've just ordered my first doll, a Zenith Boy (Jan), and I have a question for you all!
I see earlier in the thread that a wig cap is suggested to make sure the 8-9inch wigs fit properly, and that a 7-8 wig cap is the suggested size for a Zenith Girl. Probably a silly question, but is it the same for a Zenith boy? I assume the heads are the same size, but I figure it can't hurt to ask! ♥

    7. personally I only would use the caps for stain prevention.... otherwise use what's handy and works best for you... like rubber bands 'non color' sticky tak... I've used the acid free photo mounting tape and even the photo mounting 'glue dots... they are clear... and I use those to hold garments in place too sometimes lol... handy little goobers they are.

wigs like caps can fit diffeently from batch to batch... and all heads differ slightly... seriously a pain for wig buying but at least each sculpt has it's own unique shape etc... the size difference is minor usually though.

    8. I like to use Velcro on mine... It's cheap and easy to find.

    9. @Lady Tiku @aernath Thank you both very much! I'll probably grab a few different options to see what makes most sense with the wig I buy. ♥

    10. I don't know about the guys, but the Zenith girls have really varied head shapes too. Some are more of an egg shape and others have really flat heads. All my girls definitely need a 7-8" wigs because anything bigger would fall off -or at the very least cover the ears. I do have one 8-9" for my my paratiisi because I needed a poofier wig, but I sewed it smaller. It still covers the tops of her ears, though. Even silicone caps can be tricky... I have one 7-8" for my Uha and it keeps sliding off because of her weird head shape. I should probably get her a bigger one and cut the edges to make it the right size. =__=;

I took Iria out today for a few test poses with her armours. I've changed her torso and modded her elbows, so I needed to test her in action. xD

    14. @Yenna She is stunning! What marvelous photos!

    15. Yenna Your Iria is simply amazing *0* I'm really impressed! Is that the new or old double-jointed body? The posing looks great!

Also, I finally ordered my Zenith Lime today :whee: At long last... It's been a good six months I've been eyeing her, so I feel really good about it. Still disappointed about not being able to choose the old double-jointed body, but I'll worry about that later...

In the end I got her with a layaway plan, since the Canadian dollar is presently at an all time low. I asked for a 3 month layaway plan. Anyone ever had a shorter layaway than 6 months with Souldoll? I feel I can't wait that long

    16. you should get the plans for as long as you can "just in case"... you can always pay off early... I am hoping I can do just that with my tera... ^^ And grats on Lime!

    17. Thanks, guys. ^^

Thank you. It's kind of... both. ^^; The armours only fit the new body limbs, but I changed the torso to the old one for it's posing ability. And modded the elbows for more movement.

    18. Yes! She looks amazing! How are the elbows doing?

    19. Just a quick question about Souldoll clothing. It looks so intricate and well made in the promo shots. Those of you who have bought clothing from them - does it live up to expectation? Also, so they make any clothing in batches in advance for in stock sale or is it all made to order (wondering if my free winter event clothing will slow down my doll order!)

    20. Souldoll clothes are beautiful and as well made as most vendors.
