OMG! Congrats! I've been waiting for them to release her again even though it was slim.
Are you choosing a different head or keeping the default one? I really want an Evelyn on that body.

 

Oh my. Congratularions to you. :3 I already have a Shiva so, I don't need her, but oh my. If this means there's a chance that they offer the old Zenith body again...! I asked them about it and they said they solved the problems they had with the old body so they're offering it with this Shiva order for now at least. If everything goes well and no other problems arise, they might actually sell it regularly again? That would be amazing for everyone who's been waiting for it. Also you can get basically any head on that order and with just two arms. So that's pretty amazing. I'm kind of tempted to get a body for my floating Jina head now, but I think I'll still rather hybrid her because I already have 3 Zeniths and they're impossible to find shoes for.

 

I was hoping they would allow Justitia as a head option, but no dice. Still, congrats to those getting her!

 

Thanks! I'm super excited (and stunned!) about finally being able to get my hands on her; she's been my grail for years now ever since I got into the hobby and stumbled across her one day. Sadly, she'd vanished a while before then.
I do love the Shiva head sculpt but I'm going to have a good look at the other ones before I order (I'm not a fan of the new style body so I haven't really been keeping track of the Zenith girls). Evelyn would look amazing on that body! I was considering her, but I have something of a love/hate relationship with open-mouthed sculpts (even if they DO have fangs!) so my opinion keeps changing all the time

So glad to see the old style body again! I hope they do make it more readily available again in the future; I've wanted a few Zenith girls for a while now, but the look of the new style body really irks me, even with the new chest joint piece, so I'd kinda written them off. I have to admit that if I had the spare funds, I'd order a second girl with two arms just to get hold of the body. And as for shoes, well, dolls with awkward sized feet seems to be something of a theme with my lot so a Zenith girl will fit right in.

 

I know what you mean - but I think she would be a great demon/succubus on that body. I haven't had a doll with an open-mouth like hers but she's growing on me. I can't find a lot of owner pictures of Evelyn, and I would love to see her with a different face-up.

I also had found Shiva too late and fell in love with the four-armed body. I almost couldn't believe they were releasing her again.

Very tempted by the idea of a four-armed, mint blue Bella! I've been messing about in PS with mock-ups, but that price, whoo!

EDIT: Does Shiva qualify for the Winter Event discount? There's no mention of it on her order page.

 

Logically she should, but I'd contact Souldoll to be sure...

While I don't feel such a strong pull to get Shiva, it's really tempting knowing it's a chance to get any Zenith girl on the older double jointed body in these new resin colours... now I have a month to talk myself out of getting mint blue Swinte...

 

That mint blue resin is amazing, I'm awfully tempted by it too!
The only thing holding me back (well, apart from the cost) is that I feel like it might not work too well with certain colours of clothing or wigs. I don't know how easy a colour it would be to work with style-wise I'm probably more likely to go with the grey resin instead since there isn't a dark tan on offer.

I've managed to narrow down head choices to 7 sculpts so far: Shiva, Swinte, Uha, Jina, Stella, Karin and Delmia...
I'm just glad the order period lasts until the end of January!

 

@SolInvictus I went ahead and posted the Q on Souldoll's news post here, so hopefully we'll hear back in a day or so.

@Zaliayn I've been messing around in photoshop with the mint blue hue, and it seems like purples and light pinks will match well with the resin tone. Souldoll used purples, reds, and blacks for Paw's blushing/faceup. I don't think browns and other natural tones would complement the color very well, and with that hue of resin it would make more sense to aim for something more fantastic and other-worldly.

 

Me too! I'm sooo excited but I'm not sure if I wanna go with the default head. Definitely getting the sandy brown skin, really like that tone.

 

@s1257, it's great that SoulDoll have included so many head options, even if it makes choosing one more difficult! I haven't seen the sandy resin in person but it looks nice in the photos I've seen; if I was going for a 2-armed girl I would probably go with sandy skin, but since she's going to have 4 arms, I think I want something a little more unusual for her.

@Kimchi, thanks for that info, it's really helpful. I'm going to have to go and work out what sort of colours and tones I want my girl to have before settling on a skin colour. Gosh that mint blue is so gorgeous though I might just have to build a colour scheme around it


Oh, while I'm thinking of resin colours, can anyone here with a doll in SoulDoll's white resin tell me what sort of white it is? And perhaps more critically, what sort of shade it yellows to? I'm fine with a creamy or ivory white, but an obvious 'pale yellow' colour doesn't really appeal to me

 

I'm so excited about this re-release! Shiva has been a grail of mine for a long time. Now to pick a head. I'm leaning towards Isabel vampire version, but I'm not sure yet.

 

Recent Souldoll whites are quite pale. I see a lot of people calling it paper white, but it's not. It does have slight cream/yellow tint to it and that's the way it'll yellow eventually. My older Souldolls yellowed a few stages within a few months and then got stable, but these newer ones seem to stay white a bit longer (I see no clear yellowing in my 2014 and later dolls yet). It definitely yellows to the general "cream white" type of yellow. You can check out this comparison of mine (D-storic and withdoll white are paper white, the rest have other pigments mixed in). My newer Souldoll whites have arrived whiter than that, but I assume they'll yellow to that stage at least.

 

@Zaliayn makes sense! The fantasy skintones look really nice, but my last two dolls have been grey & purple so I want something a little simpler this time. It seems like unusual resin colors are getting easier to find lately.

 

Thank you Yenna, that's a great help It seems like white is another possible option then - I've always considered getting a girl in white resin at some point.
I guess I'll be spending most of my free time over the holidays doodling and figuring out which colour to go for. Oh well!

 

I have two white souldolls and they are almost paper white. Really nice but not a realistic human skintone.

 

So pretty, if only I did girl dolls more. But what I really want is a centaur head human body Chiron in grey. Couldn't afford it when it was available, can afford it these days but it isn't for sale. XD
