SoulDoll Zenith Discussion ~ Part II

I have just asked them about a smaller breast option for zenith girls. Let's see what they answer.
I asked them to show interest, maybe everyone that would like this option should contact them too?
Maybe If they see there's a demand they could hurry it a bit? xD

 

@Soraiasama Back in 2015 when I got my Zenith, I also asked countless times through the Q&A if they would consider making a small chest piece but they still haven't to this day... I remember it was a hassle enough for them to send my doll with the updated chest piece; I had ordered my Zenith on a 3 months layaway about a month before the new chest piece came out and they were planning on sending my doll with the gaping chest piece é_è
After a lot of complaining they agreed to send me my doll with the new chest piece, but it really is a big bust. It's a beautiful body, but the breast are a little too glamorous for me; I think I wont be keeping it. Keep us posted on what they answer though! I really wish they would offer a smaller chest piece.

Guys i have a question! I was checking out the page and saw that one of my long loves, Karin, is going to be discontinued. Also it says that "Never sale again"...does that mean that they're not gonna make her ever again?!

 

As far as I can tell, yes, that's exactly what it means. Sad as it is for such a lovely sculpt. And I've a sneaking suspicion of why too.

If she's one you long to have, I hope you can get her before the discontinue date or otherwise watch the second hand market. She does appear on the market place every great now and then.

 

@cutthroatgirl yes, it means they plan to discontinue the sculpt with no plans of re-release. Unlike some companies *cough*Dollshe*cough* that discontinue dolls only to release them again at a later date, Souldoll has been good on their promise to never re-issue any discontinued dolls. So, if you want that Karin you better get her now or expect a long wait to find one on the secondhand market!

 

Hi there,
I just received my Shiva in sandy brown skin and was a bit surprised by the color- it looks definitely lighter than it used to. At first I thought they had mixed it up. >_< Has anybody else noticed this? When did they change the color?
I've taken photos of her arm next to my Yeon Bee's arm, who arrived in 2013, taken without and with flash:

You can see that Yeon Bee's arm is darker than Shiva's. Compared to normal skin there's not much difference. It's a different hue, but not much darker.

 

I ordered my Oscal when he came out thinking he'd be like my first darker skin doll and he turned out lighter than my Iple 'real skin' (for reference sake that's still one step below light tan). I was a bit bummed at that thinking I was getting a pale tan.. not a barely different than Normal skin... that was a year ago now? So I'm not surprised...

I was hoping for your top pic color and got the bottom...

 

Oh dear, so it's been done before. :/ If I had know that before, I would have thought twice about paying for sandy brown.
It's still a nice color, but, like you said, barely different from normal skin. It's lighter than any tan resin I own, the lightest of them being probably Granado. It's hard to say as it's such a different color tone, but I'd say it's even a bit lighter than Doll Chateau normal yellow from 2015. But to be fair, Yeon Bee's tan is indeed darker, but it isn't one of the real dark tans.
Oh well, I'm still happy I got my Shiva, she's such a beautiful sculpt in every resin color.

 

My Hwaran/Shiva body arrived today!!! It was a great welcome walking into a huge box once I got off work, so now I'm busy taking pics and trying to upload them to my Flickr account.

I had NO idea that the Zenith heads were smaller than the Double heads--- I initially thought they were the same size but up close its vastly different.

 

My Shiva arrived today, too!! Whee! I got mine with a Karin head, and I'm absolutely in love with her!!

The wig and clothes are temporary, but she looks so good anyways! I'm going to make her a wig and commission an outfit for her *__* I'm dying to paint that beautiful face, but I need to make the wig first or else I'll procrastinate on it for months LOL.
I have to say that despite being concerned about the mint blue color, I LOVE it. It's a tealy blue, nice and bright without being TOO bright. I was worried it would be a dark teal but that's definitely not the case! In my photo you can see a little bit of my Dollshe Hound who is more of a true blue.

I'm also surprised at how easy she is to pose! Her biggest problem is definitely the ankles, they're not very sturdy. But the knees are quite solid, and after owning so many dolls with buckling knees, boy am I grateful. The arms are so much fun to play with, and stay in place pretty easily!! The lower/secondary arms have a tendency to flop at the "shoulder" joint, but I think some hot glue sueding will fix that. I may wire her too, but I have a feeling that sueding will make her arms stay in place very well. Not sure how I'm going to deal with her ankles, as I'd wanted her to be barefoot most of the time but shoes would help her a lot.

 

She looks amazing! Are the Shiva bodies still available? I don't seem to find them browsing through the page or anything. I wish more companies came up with original bodies like these!

 

The Shiva body is currently unavailable,
but Souldoll does offer the Shiva bodies for a short amount of time, and they have rereleased it multiple times.

 

Oh i see! like, they just do it once a year or something like that? Then i still may be able to get one the next time they do it hehe!

 

Did anyone see the new girl Hae-Bin? She looks so cute with her smirk and lovely eyes

 

not gonna even look >< it hurt last time i went looking and saw something that was no longer available AND on top of that... can't buy ANYTHING right now i hate being responsible and paying bills lol

 

@Suindo You're right, her eyes are gorgeous! I wish they uploaded a blank sculpt photo like they normally do to admire the craftsmanship in those super realistic eyelids.

 

I am SO close to order Hae-Bin ... she looks so realistic and beautiful. Not many asian sculpts out there, and she is really convincing (at least to me). I asked Souldoll and they said the dress will be available too soon.

 

Totally agree.. Hae-bin is amazing. I'm so glad she is not limited.
I too have asked Souldoll several times about a smaller bust option.... their most recent reply is that they will consider it for the future. That could be promising?
Also, wanted to share the progress of my Iplehouse Souldoll hybrid. I'm modifying a nYID neck to take a Souldoll Zenith head and it has been very slow. But I think I'm at least halfway there.

I modded a Guu doll neck to fit my Double heads, but I got impatient with trying to sand her neck down and just used an exacto knife to shave off resin until the neck fit properly
