SoulDoll Zenith Discussion ~ Part II

I can only speak for myself, but based on my own recent experience, I think they've improved their lead times considerably. My doll shipped in 16 weeks from the date of full payment. (No faceup and gray skin) It was 2 weeks off from the initially projected 14. So, not terrible.

 

I was wondering if I can sand the seam line on a Souldoll doll? The resin has this texture. I'm not sure whether it's the resin or spray sealant. I plan to do body blushing but I don't want to damage or ruin the resin by sanding the seam line

generally if it's not 'blushed' it's not sealed. so go by that. Most dolls 'bodies' are not sealed unless you get company body blushing done.

 

Right now, I only have one other picture of her because I haven't put her together with her armor or anything yet. I plan to do so this weekend. Once I do, I'll definitely be taking more!

I finally got my D.Agnes put together!

Stringing her legs was much more difficult than I'd anticipated. I ended up linking two s-hooks together (one already hooked on her foot and one already hooked on the string) because a single s-hook would either hook to the string or to her foot, not both. Oh, well. At least she's pretty.


I may touch up her face-up a bit more, but otherwise, I'm calling her done. I wish I had more armor to paint. That was the most fun part...

EDIT: They also opened up sandy brown and grey skin again til the end of the year!! But I want to wait for a new Zenith sculpt or a winter special to buy a sandy brown body

I just ordered Seo Jeong-U in NS!! It's my first time ordering a new BJD, I'm planning to get a second hand BJD from a friend soon, so with Jeong-U that's 2 boys on the way! Does anyone have owner pics of him? I'd love to see what other people have done with his sculpt, I absolutely love it

 

I just paid my last layaway payment on my Federer-elf head. I am so excited to get him into my small elf tribe.

I just received him this week so I haven't done much with the sculpt (sorry about the bad lighting, lately I'm only awake at night TT)

My Federer elf arrived and I'm so happy with him. He is perfection for the character of a moody elf guardian, the other head I had was a modded vampire so he didn't exactly look right. It will be a while until he gets a faceup but I love looking at those lips.
