souldoll zenith girl Agnetha Discussion

Sep 18, 2010

    1. Congrats Jay! That's exciting news! I had to go check out your faceups XD I wasn't familiar with them, but oh my! She will look gorgeous in one of your graceful designs!

Souldoll hasn't responded to their Q&A board yet (I posted a question if she will come with high-heel feet) and I think that's probably because of that Korean holiday that's going on now :( If you go to their site and allow pop-ups there's a notice that tells you about how they are basically out of commission until the end of the month.

However, they did reply earlier in the month that the bunny plush does NOT come with it :( sorry to say. I know there are a few people here in the commissions subforum that make some nice plushes though, I'm sure you could get someone to make something like that :)

EDIT: Woops, I was wrong, they have answered their Q&A board. She doesn't come with high heel feet *grumble* I'll ask specifically about the necklace next. I wasn't interested because I can't afford the outfit anyways but it seems enough other people may like to know :)

    2. Iยดm also one who tought that the looks like Supia Rosy when I saw her at the first time. I think I will order her next year, she is such a great doll. I also will buy Souldoll Kagel, I think he will be her brother and protects her.

    3. OMG congratz Jay!
I love what you do with your girls <3

Haa Bunny-chan I absolutelly love Kagel too, and I kinda seen them both also together beeing silblings ;), anyway I hope I can afford Agnetha and somehow save for Kagel too *_*. Thanks gods there not limited :D

I wanted to get her first blank and to do face up myself, but if I manage to get her through AC I can get her with face up :aheartbea
I dont think I can afford clothes though, will try to make smth similar myself ;)

P.S. I asked if Alice's Coll. let Souldoll ship the dolls directly to us or if the dolls will be sent to them first. Im waiting on the answer.
And I will request Souldoll blank head picture :)!

    4. I was just thinking that she reminds me a bit of a Hypermaniac too. Sort of like Ishta but more grown up. I love this girl! I'd also like to thank those here who said nice things about my faceups. I keep trying! Always somewhere to improve.

      Jay

    5. I got an answer from Alice's Collections, they said the dolls ordered through them will be shipped directly from Souldoll! Yay that means there would be no shipping delay at all^^

Im happy to see she resembles so many fantastic molds, I love Rosy, Beryl and I agree with Jay she look like more realistic grown up Ishta.

She also reminds me on the very rare Supia 60 :aheartbea

    6. Azraelita, thanks for the awesome reporting on Alice's Collections. That makes it even MORE tempting to get her ASAP instead of waiting for my other doll to find a new home first :doh I just don't want two dolls that are supposed to be the same character under the same roof! It's so wrong! *_*

I just realized my question about the bunny necklace never posted on their Q&A Board! So I reposted it--hopefully we'll find out soon if it's included with the outfit. Also, does anyone know if the Double girl high heel feet work for Zenith girls? I have some I bought for my double girl, but never put them on her as I'm still waiting for her shoes to arrive. It would be awesome if they could be used on a Zenith! EDIT: Woops, nevermind, I just checked the Q&A board for the Double feet and they don't fit the Zenith size :( drat...

    7. I'm flattered so many of you like my drowned-girl idea :)

I was inspired by the Rusalki, a kind of Russian fairy spirit. My mom (her parents are Russian) says that Rusalki are virgins who have drowned. They're associated with rivers and streams, and also birch forests. They can be dangerous to bad people, but they protect children and wild animals. I thought a Rusalka would be a good concept for Agnetha; she's sad, and sort of virginal as well.

    8. Love this sculpt, I think she'd be perfect for one of my characters, who is a Japanese Kami / ghost woman. Seriously thinking of getting her.

Congrats to everyone who's getting her ~ And looking forward to seeing all of the concepts, which sound great.

Love your drowned girl concept, wildwoodflower, sounds lovely! : )

    9. I've never had a superposable doll before. Can anyone who has owned a Souldoll double-jointed body before tell me if their posing is really top notch? Otherwise I think I will go for the General Body.

    10. Well I can say that I LOVE the posability of my Double girl, I'm not quite sure what to do about how unbelievably tight she is strung. They are known for extreme tightening by Souldoll, and I've been hanging out on a few threads where people are trying to figure out better stringing options for her. Apparently the extra string she comes with isn't the right size? I haven't tried restringing my doll yet.

Overall, I love the double jointed posing abilities :) Her poses wind up looking a lot more natural and organic than my Soom Super Gem's.

I'm not sure if the same is true about the Zenith double-jointed bodies since their joints are VERY different (they use the joint "peanuts" similar to soom instead of the locking joint pieces of their Double Girl bodies.)

    11. Thank you Anneke that helps a lot :) I really hate the posing of my Soom girls but I've never played with anything else in that size so I am not sure what to expect. I suppose I should get a Double-Jointed body just for the fun of it.

I really want this girl! But I think it will mean saving up $712 dollars from scratch, and that is going to take quite a while. That pretty outfit will be long gone by the time I get to her LOL.

    12. Maybe if someone is planning on buying her sooner you can do a split with them? Super Gems and Zeniths are almost the exact same size so they can share all their clothes :) The outfit will fit on your Soom girls in case you don't wind up getting a Agnetha.

I personally think the outfit is a little pricey for what it is. Souldoll has some AMAZING outfits using pretty unique lace, leather, and other materials with beaded details or complicated designs. This simple cotton drop-waist dress and a tattered looking cardigan is gorgeous in its simplicity but I'm a little surprised the price point is higher than some of their other outfits! Maybe because it's so specific to the doll?

    13. That is a really good idea, but I'm "dolly broke" until I pay off Mixi. I think I may cheat and ask my Mom to make something similar for me. She has some training in dressmaking and I think she could do it (I might even try it myself but I don't a sewing machine ATM; I always end up buying dolls instead of one...)

    14. Well I just broke down and ordered Agnetha with the outfit. She managed to jump ahead of a Supia Rosy which I wanted for a long time.
One of you here on this thread will hear from me about a face for her.Now to wait and wait.
      Susanna
Anyone have shoe or sandal ideas for this size? She will be the tallest in my group .

    15. Dollmore model shoes should fit her pretty well, though Souldoll said she doesn't have high heel feet available and most of Dollmore's are heels :(

    16. I got the general body for my Leira, and although the legs are to die for, the arms are really lacking. The only way they look natural is in barbie position in a 90 degree angle. It's majorly frustrating lol. But its that or straight out in an odd position.

However, I really love Souldolls face-ups and there resin is amazing feeling. I hope I can someday get this girl. But non-limiteds tend to get forgotten whilst the limited dolls get bought up. But I do have some major plans for her so maybe I'll stick too it :)

    17. Ok I spent part of my savings on some stuff for myself, so it looks like Ill have to wait on my paycheck, which will be on the 15.10. to order her. Good AC have free sh till 20.10. :sweat

Lilystar: Releaserain on ebay has pretty sandals but there just 7cm :(, while her feet are 8,3 :(
(http://cgi.ebay.de/Dollfie-SD-Girl-...445?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19b45a1725 - I have these but in bronze for my flexi perennial girl - love the look of them)
Hower I remember now that they were a bit too big, maybe I look and measure them again...

      Edit: Souldoll has now these:
      http://souldoll.com/shop/step1.php?number=2003
in their category for the Zenith girl, I dunno, they seem again too expensive...

Most of my girls are wearing long skirts so I tend to have have them barefoot...^^

karleecakes: Thanks for rewiev of the general body! I love the look of it, but I preffer the poseability, however I dont understand why they dont made the joints hidden :/
P.S. Please make more pix of your Cherry Elf^^ (sorry for off-topic)

      Anneke:
I agree about the pricing of the outfit, its too much for it :|, Id pay the half...

I looked into DM and thats really sucks that they mostly have high heels for DM model :(

What about the clothes for her, do you guys think she will fit standart SD13 size clothes?

Another tall girl out there is Impldoll, they dont have long dresses I like though...

    18. The Zenith girl bodies are identical in proportion/size to the Soom Super Gem, which fits SD17 clothes okay (though the Zenith/Super Gem bust is larger.) That means that Dollmore Model girl clothes will also fit them, though model girls have longer arms and legs.

Zeniths do have bigger feet since Super Gems only have 7cm feet.

Edit: I just thought--the Cass dresses would look really fantastic on a drowned-girl O_O

    19. Ohh Agnetha. I just had to come and comment on this topic, I saw her about a week ago and she's all I think of now. I would've somehow gotten the money and ordered her already, but there are a few things holding me back... the first being that since I already have Hye, I'm a bit scared what Agnetha's face will look like in nature. The reason for this is that at least my Hye has severe symmetric flaws, so for a faceup noob like me it's close to impossible to get a decent faceup, and I can't take closeups from her face because the flaws are so clear. I'm discussing with this modder at the moment, she said there might be something she could do to the face but she's not sure yet.

Because of this, after I got Hye I swore that I would never order from Souldoll again, but look what they made now! I'm scared that I flip out and order her and end up with two asymmetric dolls. So please, please, anyone who has ordered her, when you receive her please post pics and tell if there are symmetry flaws in her! I will have to bite my nails with ordering until then.

Also I'm not sure if she's the mold for the character I have in mind. It's a tricky situation - I want Agnetha so bad, at the same time I want to have a doll for this character of mine so bad, but I don't know if they mix. In these pictures Agnetha looks a bit too tender and innocent. It could be a completely different story when I get to see owner pics and what can be done with her.

Err.. so, sorry for the long post, I guess it's because I'm in a very bad doll spree and I really have no'one to talk to. But I had a point in there! Which is, please post pics as soon as you can :)

    20. Don't worry Nuemeth! I think we know how you feel, haha! I myself was worried she might look a little to "soft" for the character I want her for. I have a Souldoll Ignis, who is very similar to Hye in personality (a little bit of a melancholy expression.) I know the Ignis sculpt is quite a bit more recent than Hye and I have noticed NO symmetry problems in her face. I think maybe Hye was just an early attempt at this melancholy expression? I'm sorry to hear you had such troubles with her :(

My Agnetha is going to replace my Ignis for the character I want her for (which unfortunately means I'll have to get all new clothes! Rats...) and I think with the right costume and wig and such she can look a lot more "hard." I'm also really curious to see Agnetha in Souldoll's Normal Skin. It's a very light skintone, but it might do a lot to bring some more energy to her sculpt!
