1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Souldoll Zenith Girls Discussion

Nov 3, 2010

    1. Glad to hear it! Wow, she looks really modern with short hair! Very nice! :)

    2. Oh wow EsmeW, I just love how you've styled her! She is stunning!

    3. Wow! I had to do a double take with your girl! She is so futuristic and sexyyyyyyy!

    4. My girl arrived...that outfit was a huge pain!!! Ugh! But she is dressed (almost two hours later). Did anyone else's girl have really bad seams? Like the kind you could cut yourself on? I actually thought she was broke! And apparently my girl just has sparkly brown eyeshadow...no gold, no green :'(. Ok...now that I have complained.... I think she is quite hot when put together! LOL

    5. She's GORGEOUS Britt!! Congrats! :D I'm super happy for you!! Wow, your photography is so amazing O.O Your girl is a smokey gorgeous pirate diva. Sorry to hear about the lack of gold eyeshadow though :( strange that there's variation in the color. Maybe it's just the lighting?

My girl had seamlines on her but I never get seam sanding so I'm pretty used to it. They didn't seem particularly worse than standard seamlines from other companies (Soom or Fairyland for example.)

Do you have any pictures of the seams? I'm curious now.

My girls' costume was surprisingly easy to get on considering how many tiny buckles I had to get through XD haha.

    6. Oooo congratss! She looks so hot!! XD That outfit definitely looked complicated! Lol
My girls seams didn't seem too bad though

My girls eyeshadow is kind of a gold-brown? I don't know, it could be a sparkly brown too, it's hard to tell.

    7. I feel like it could sparkly brown too. It shows up gold with flash and other lighting though:

    8. ACK! That is REALLY awful looking! O.O I should check my girl's legs too, just to see. I didn't notice any THAT bad.

I wonder if some of our Karins are made at the new factory and some at the regular Souldoll shop which is why we're seeing subtle differences between them?

    9. Yikes! Just looked at my girl, her seams are noticable, but doesn't look quite like that! O.o

    10. Here is one other. I seriously thought my girl's legs were cracked. And when I rubbed my finger on them it was sharp. Whats odd is the feet, hands, most of the arms are all sanded and smooth (and slightly pale as I would expect)..but they didn't even attempt to sand the legs :(

    11. Well I'm sad mine are this way...but glad that mine is the only one :)

    12. I'm so sorry! I think you should notify Souldoll to see if they have any advice to give you about this!

    13. I just hate to complain to a company! LOL

    14. Maybe they could give you tips on how to make the seams less noticable? I'm sure they must have something they could say, as long as they've been in this business.

    15. Hey, does anyone know of any pictures of a normal or white skin karin? I'm iffy about her sculpt, and I'd love to see it in other colors. Thanks!

    16. I'm so sorry to see what happened to your girl... I'm shocked too that Souldoll's seam can be that shockingly bad! :o I don't have any Zennith girl or Souldoll's BJD yet at the moment, but I do plan to have one next year. Thank you for sharing this :)

    17. Many beautiful Karins! I must say my girl has no problems with her seams at all (I had to look really hard because she is white skin). Yours are probably also more obvious because of the tan skin.

    18. The white Karins won't have the same bad seams because they can be sanded off. It's unfortunate that their molds weren't tight enough to prevent the seam lines from being that jagged, but this is exactly why companies put warnings all over their tan dolls: there will be seam lines and they won't be able to sand them down the way they usually do becuase it will cause lighter lines in the tan skin. When tan dolls were first starting to be made, owners were very upset about the lighter lines from sanding, so it's a no win situation for the company. :/
