1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Souldoll Zenith Girls Discussion

Nov 3, 2010

    1. Loving the spam!
It's been 8.5 weeks since I ordered Shiva, and I just found out she's been shipped! Yippie!

    2. Wow that was FAST! Congrats! Cant wait to see more Shiva!

    3. Hello all! I have been lurking this thread for some time now but never written anything until now.
I am soon planning on getting a Paratiisi.

Yenna - I saw pictures of your Paratiisi on flickr and thought "Finally!" She is insanely beautiful and can't wait to have my own.

And I have a couple of questions for you zenith owners, they have probably been discussed and answered before. And in advance; sorry for not putting down more time to find the answers myself, I have read about 20 pages back.
      - How well does the zenith body pose? How much is the difference between double and single jointed bodies? I'm thinking on getting the double...
      - Also what kind of clothes fit best, SD16? Is there any chance of SD13-clothes fitting? How about shoes?

Thank you in advance, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful soul dolls. ^^

    4. Hi!! :D Welcome!!

I hope I can answer a few of your questions ^^ Since I have 3 Zeniths.

Posing: a lot of people have their own personal views on what makes a doll a good poser. Personally, I find them to be mid-range posers. The are heads and tails better than my Super Gems! But they don't hold much against some of the finely engineered 1/4 scale dolls out there, and personally I found Iplehouse far excels their posing. I think with wiring they could be excellent posers. For now they have issues with holding their poses (all in my own opinion/experience of course!)

Joints: all of my dolls are on the double jointed body, but if you want second-hand knowledge I have heard from several people that the aesthetics of the single-jointed body are really phenomenal but really limited in posing (both arms and legs.) This is why I've always gone with the double jointed bodies myself (also my dolls joints are always covered with clothes, except on my Shiva where the double joint body is the only option.)
Clothes: They fit Soom Super Gem clothes, except their waists is smaller and shoulders are narrower. I have a corsetted Super Gem dress and it hangs like a bag on my Shiva :doh Since SD16 have narrower waists as well I think those outfits would fit Zeniths pretty nicely!

Shoes: Zenith technically have bigger fit than SD sized dolls, but I actually fit my Zenith high heel feet into some SD Dollmore shoes (the Macy boots) and it fit fine. I was pretty surprised! But maybe those boots are also just a bit on the large side. I don't have any genuine Volks SD shoes so I can't say for sure.

    5. I've been meaning to say, your doll costumes are just STUNNING. And your photography is so lifelike! O.O You make the costumes all yourself?? That's incredible! I wish I had costumes for me to wear like these elegant fantasy pieces! The fabrics and craftsmanship look so painstakingly detailed. They look like something out of a big budget fantasy epic movie. I can lose myself all day in your vignettes :abambi: It makes me want a Paratisii even more, but almost not at all because I know she would never be as beautiful or convincing as yours :aheartbea

    6. Thank you, ingeneu. :3

You're welcome, jwsmith. The headcap is too thick for the magnets to hold through that and a wig, so no wonder they wouldn't stay on.

Lynessa, oh yay, congrats! I hope you post photos when she arrives.

LaceandBlood, thank you. Paratiisi is quite a beauty and I'm insanely happy with mine.
I don't have the general body so I can't say anything about it, but the double jointed one is a great poser. The only issue I had with her were her knees (which I suspected actually before I got her). She was really tightly strung when she came, which worked well for the knees, but not for me. I like my dolls a bit looser so I re-strung her and after that her knees started buckling. It took be quite a few tests to get the right thickness and tightness in the string to have the knees behave again.

As far as shoes go ALL SD13 and SD16 female shoes I have are waaay too small. Her feet are the same size as my Dollshe men, so male shoes fit fine. Some Dollmore Model doll female shoes fit the heeled feet but the pair I have leave the heel up in the air and they're almost too narrow. She can stand in them, though, so they're fine for me but I'd be vary with boots because they might be too narrow. I also bought Luts SDF male boots for her and they fit very well. They have some very feminine styles. :P

Anneke, thank you. =u= I make most of the clothes myself. The corset in the second photo isn't by me but everything else in the photos I've posted here have been. I'd totally make the outfits for myself too, but it would just be too costly.

    7. Wish Soul Doll made shoes again for their dolls, I still have my eye on Gwen. Love her thick juicy lips and would love to get her blank to paint, needs that money tree or winning lottery numbers

    8. Thank you for your thorough answers! ^^ I'll probably get the double jointed body and worry about shoes later! :)

    9. I agree! I've been wanting to get shoes for my Leira for along time. I should post on there site about it.

    10. LaceandBlood - I strongly suggest getting heel feet when you're getting the body, as you have a greater range of shoes you can fit them into than the flat feet. Flat feet I've only ever got male shoes on to my girl, but the heel feet I've fit into Dollmore model doll girl and EID girl heeled shoes (she fits the EID ones, but doesn't balance well in them), and Luts SDF male shoes (they sell a number of heeled designs).

    11. Thank you kawaii_mon! I'll definetely get the high heel feet for her :)

    12. I adore your girl Yenna!! She is one of my "must haves"...one day...
Only one more payment left for my Shiva...can't wait to see more of those girls! Since Anneke won't take any photos for me ;)!! LOL ♥

    13. I was actually just shopping for some of those cool photography backdrops for my Shiva, Sylpedae! :o Thinking "I REALLY need to take more pictures of this girl so she can joint in the fun Shiva spam when Britt's arrives!"

I'm going to be getting like five of the backgrounds, so I think I'll have loads of new pictures for all my Zenith girls ;)

    14. Are there more people having trouble with the Zenith double jointed knees?
I can't get my girl to stand at all, it's impossible!
She's hotglued and her stringing is rather tight.

    15. Oh man, what a troublesome girl :o Honestly, my girl takes a little wiggling to stand safely but they're not nearly this temperamental. My girls are all strung a bit loose though, so maybe the issue is that your girl is too tight? I know Souldoll has a habit of sending out dolls that are strung with the jaws of life, it seems :doh So sorry to see that you're having so much trouble with her!

    16. I had that issue when my girls strings were too thin and/or too loose. I ended up putting 4,5mm or 5mm in her (I can't remember which one) and stringing her in a pretty unique way to have the tightness just right. Also sueding the ankles helps (though, I'd use pliver rather than hot glue). Wiring would also be an option to stabilize the knees if you can't get them right any other way.

    17. but I have tried like 5 different amount of tightness, and nothing works. I have contacted souldoll and sent them the video aswell. Lol they asked for a picture when shes is standing... Kinda funny thing actually as it is an almost impossible task.

    18. Have you tried changing the string? It might be too thin or stretchy. I strung mine like 4-5 times too before I got it right. ^^;

    19. Yep, testet that too :c
And it does still not work :c

    20. I was thinking about ordering Gwen with the Double jointed body and after seeing this video of how difficult it is to get her to stand with them, I might as well settle of the General body instead. I hope Soul Doll gives a answer to this for you RoseOfDarkness.
