1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Souldoll Zenith Girls Discussion

Nov 3, 2010

    1. Thanks for the input! I kind of like the way the knee joints look; they remind me of the way some art dolls are jointed. I'll have to go take a look at some owner pictures to see how different the two bodies look in action. Unless someone conveniently has a couple of shots illustrating the differences?

    2. I'd also like to know the same as St. James, because I'm also in love with Karin and am thinking of modding one to male. I'm more interested in posing potential, but shape is nice to know, too!

    3. I'm using layaway and Souldoll says I will get the free outfit :)

    4. Hey Britt, did your outfit just appear on your order after payment was made? I just paid my girl off today after re-doing my order for her high heel feet but I don't see the outfit yet. I'm sure they won't forget about me, but I want to know if this is normal :D

    5. <3 Yes! I think that is exactly why I love the joint peanut thingy.

As for posing though, tbh the joint doesn't lock in place or anything so the only thing you can do better is probably that you can bend the elbows a bit further so she can touch her face. As for the knee joint, I am not sure if it makes a huge difference whether they are double jointed or not. So I'd think just go for whatever look better to you.

Anneke: I don't think the free outfit will appear in your order sheet, probably just show up with the box.

    6. Thanks for the tip on the outfit. After all of Souldoll's troubles lately I was hoping they would add it to the order sheet so that I'd have something to go on if they "forget" to add it later. I guess I won't be too heartbroken if I don't get it, I'm not planning on using it anyway :P

As for the double jointing, I find the friction of the joint is enough to hold a nicely strung doll's poses fairly well even without a locking system. Also, it allows for a lot more rotation that would otherwise be impossible without completely pulling one limb from the other :) I really enjoy the posing ability of my Zenith girls ^^ especially compared to the single jointed Soom body.

    7. Welp. Soom's "double-jointed" elbow is completely useless I prefer them single jointed. XD

I had some issue with my girl's arms... maybe she need to be strung tighter or something. Haha

    8. I generally prefer more poseability, but it's driving me nuts that I can't find any images of the general body with the knees bent! I wish I could mix and match; I'd get the double jointed arms and the regular legs. :/

    9. St. James This isn't the best picture but I hope it helps. I will try to get her out and take a better one tomorrow.

    10. The more and more I look at Karin I want her... I'm afraid of the long wait though.

    11. Did you see in the waiting room thread? People were already getting their IER's after less than a month of waiting =/ They are LIGHTNING fast at the moment.

    12. I heard and I was hoping that would be the case with Karin. I was going to order from DDE but I guess they aren't going to carry her.

    13. That's too bad! But if you order through Souldoll you can get her Tan skin option free (if you're looking to get her in tan that is) and you get a free outfit :) So it might make up for the bit more shipping you pay ordering her directly from Souldoll.

    14. And they are allowing 90 day layaway with her too...so basically still 4 payments :).

Anneke- They didn't add the gift clothes to my order either. They just told me in Q&A that I would get them.

I'm so excited! I am trying to come up with her name....

    15. *Peeks into thread* I see you need some comparison photos, Souldoll has sent some to me, and I've placed them on my Flickr if you or anyone else is interested^^ Here is one sample:

Can't wait to see everyone's dolls come in, and hoping the earliest orders get filled first for those poor people who've been waiting so long! :(

    16. Lynessa, those comparison photos are PERFECT. Thank you so much for those!

    17. You're welcome, glad to help out^^

    18. Thanks, Lynessa! Those are exactly what I needed to see!

    19. When I purchase Karin fs, I wanted her boots also, but they were sold out already. I was a bit disappointed, but today I happened to be looking at Doll Peddler website and what do I find, the same boots, I wasn't going to wait, I bought them, along with some other boots, I'm so happy, I was able to get them!!!!
