Souldoll Zii - Discussion! Suddenly discontinued!

What a total bummer! I can't believe they discontinued him!

I thought he was beautiful! I wonder what happened?

 

OMG!!! noooo I cant believe this im really upset!! how could they!! now im really bummed seriously. I really wanted him to be my first doll i'm really upset. man I hope there is some hope that maybe they'll put him back man im soo mad I hate this!!!! Its so not fair

 

Aw, that's a shame.
Wonder if something crazy like the mold breaking happened.

Since Zii's page is gone, can someone repost the official pictures of him? I just want them for my file of pretty doll photos; I didn't get a chance to save them because I wasn't expecting him to stop being stocked. o_o;;

 

I certainly hope they complete the ones already ordered. When I saw he was sold out I immediately went in search of him & found one at Contemporary Artist Dolls but he's not in yet. So I have him ordered thru them & I'm praying he comes in.

 

Hmm, I have one picture saved of Zii (thank goodness, I have a picture of Zii saved somewhere else other than my poor memory *^^*). I save piccies for my screensaver lol XDD

This is so depressing! I am depressed!.. I had the money ready for him today! and was going to buy him today! and then I came on here and read this and yeah! depression! But I guess it's my own fault not jumping on the chance to get him when I had the chance

I wonder what the reason is behind him being discontinued their must be a pretty big reason why?.. Because I find it strange they discontinue a brand new doll that is obviously going to be popular.. I think maybe the mold might of broken aswell but if that's the case wouldn't they be able to recast an existing Zii? wouldn't this be possible?.. Anyway I hope we find out why? and I hope that they can fix this problem maybe seeing as how so many people are upset by it and want Zii! oh well..

 

Mold problems could easily delay a project, but I don't think they would discontinue a doll because of that. Molds wear out and have to be replaced periodically any way. I'm betting that it was some issue between Souldoll and the artist who sculpted the head.

 

I know I am really upset aswell I think I speak for everyone who has missed out on him everyone feels the same.. it's a shame you can't have him as your first he would of been lovely.. I am inlove with him too

I think you are right actually this sounds like the most reasonable excuse.. and if that is the case I wished they would resolve the issue but I highly doubt that will happen.. ohh well..

What happened?? Maybe he looked too much like a Korean TV Star?? (My wild guess )

 

It's strange. Perhaps souldoll lost rights to the sculpt? I agree that it's most likely the sculptor. Though hopefully, we haven't seen the last of him/her yet.

 

I can't believe they discontinued him like out of the blue without any warning! That is rather odd. Hopefully they can make this up to their loyal customers by creating another hottie? Because I wasn't going to buy him, but if I were, I'd be a tad disapointed in the sudden removal of a doll I had my heart set on! At least I hope they fully explain, otherwise, I dunno it kind of makes me wary. This really scares me you know? Cause there is another doll on Souldoll I want, but am waiting. But now this makes me want to rush and buy him in case that new boy gets discontinued too!

 

I guess on the bright side, I'll save money. XD;;

But yeah it is weird, and I also can only think about that something happenend between them and the artist.
I just think we as customers will never know the real reason why.
It can't be because he looks too much like a Korean star, I have ordered 8 Celeb Minimees,
who look more like the celebs they are made after...

But I find it so sad for you guys who couldn't get 1 =_=
I hope you'll find a Zii secondhand, he's such a lovely boy 3 TwT

Whoa, that was unexpected. One day he's there and the next he's not? I was borrowing money left and right to be able to afford Zii. There goes my birthday/Christmas present. @_@

Does anyone know if the original sculptor has a website? If they do maybe they'll sell Zii's head individually.
