I've posted a WTB thread in the marketplace. I suspect that it will be one of those sad, little threads that stays up for six months, and everyone on the board looks at it and thinks, "Good God, are they really still looking for that? Give up already!".

Oh well. If I don't get him that way, at least I'll have a big enough offer built up by the time I give in that I can buy myself an awesome consolation gift

I am experiencing that horrible want-but-can't-have feeling for a doll for the first time. I have admired impossible, limited sculpts from afar before, but that never built up to this same level of desperate yearning. It's much more crushing to have something almost within your grasp, and then have it snatched away. However, dolls aren't my number one priority in life (blasphemy!), so I'm sure that I'll live with the disappointment well enough.

No company would just delete a doll from their website if it was a problem they could easily fix...Limiteds or "Out of Production" dolls would just be seen as "sold out" or "out of stock".

So I don't think it will help us if they see this thread...I hope it, but even this can be wishful thinking.
And this is not their decision alone, because they did not sculp the head themselves.

georgia I wish you were right, but somehow I doubt he will ever be sold by any company again. That is so horrible because I think he was one of the most beautiful BJDs in the market. T _ T

Hmm, it's weird.. I went to Souldoll Korean website just to see if they have him for sale in Korea.
... And Korean Souldoll website doesn't have Soul-Doubles - not even one >_>.
I find that very weird and odd.. I just wish that they can release his outfit for sale at least xP

 

That's weird...maybe they think the Koreans aren't interested in the double type? XD;

.....That's a fail. Like really, uber-fail. He was going straight to the top of my "Must have"s every time I looked at his face, but......not even a month? I really hope they release a better answer as to why.

thi is very upsetting im soo really sad. he was one of the first dolls that made me long for. now... i dont know this is really upsetting .but there might be a good explanation so i guess i have to get over it ,but im soo upset *walks off in sadness* its kind of like taking a childs favorite piece of candy away!!

 

If they're not telling us why he's suddenly discontinued, there may be legal reasons for it. There are a lot of conditions under which you aren't legally allowed to discuss the circumstances.

This is a major let-down. I can only hope they are working on a pretty asian boy to replace him :/ The second hand prices on this mold are going to be astronomical.
