Souldoll Zii - Discussion! Suddenly discontinued!

God. I hope that I fall completely with my Zii, because the price will sure be high. =S

 

I bet it'll go up in the thousands (dollar), if not more. Ack! O_O

 

Crap. Since he wasn't limited I was going to wait to buy him. And now he's discontinued. That teaches me to wait I guess. Dammit, I even had a character all ready for him too!!

 

Ah Souldoll just told me they will soon bring out more info about Zii.

I would very much like to know what happened with him, and if the sculptor will be offering him for sale directly some day (can you tell that at heart I'm a hopeless optimist?). I'm not getting my hopes up, but I would like to have my curiosity satisfied, at least.

In other news, I'm very tempted to buy some of Ahee's newly released outfits, but I must be strong and save stupid amounts of money in case Zii comes up on the second-hand market. Of course, with Unoa girls and a Narin boy coming before Christmas, I'm not sure how I'll be able to prevent myself from spending on accessories. They're just too cute to not spoil!

 

i hope this means they'll bring him out to market again TvT how i'd hate to miss buying him TvT he's such a lovely boy!

I was wondering why they chose to take him down from the website, but I didn't think much of it, and reading this has really upset me - I was hoping to save up enough money to buy him before this year drew to a close, as he's perfect for one of my boys, and like a lot of people, I didn't think buying him would be a problem due to the 'general release' notice put on his page.

Aargh, I do hope something is sorted out and they can sell him again, or at the very least, I hope Souldoll tell us why they have stopped stocking him - I'm heartbroken over this!

I'm wondering if it had to do with the body rather than the sculpt. When on the site his describtion said that his neck was thicker than the other double boys. Perhaps they're retooling it to standardise him.

 

I was thinking that that might have been the problem, myself. Hopefully that's all they're doing, as opposed to getting rid of him completely, like they seem to have done. Here's hoping!

 

:/ If it were that case, wouldn't they say he would be temporarily unavailable, instead of '[he] will no longer be available. We regret to have to do this.'? Somehow these words really put a damper... But I'm expecting the worst, and hoping for the best! ^___^

 

Well, don't forget things get lost in translation. I'm hoping for the best too. It seems everybody wants him & he's sure a beauty. I'd hate to see so many folks disappointed.

 

If nothing else, maybe they should come out with a similarly themed doll. Not a copy, but in the same style. I don't know how that would work out...

I would be happy if they made one kind of similar to zii's style too or even hotter. Man I hope they tell us what is going on!! I really hope they could make it up to us and make a even hotter doll than zii but I can only wish

 

Argh! Beginning of winter bills are kicking my rear end, in combination with wig/shoe purchases for my current dollies, so I think I'm going to let my WTB for Zii go unbumped until next month. No point in keeping it up there if I can't even afford a substantial down-payment right now. It'd be false advertising.

In any case, I do hope to see more beautiful Soul Double boys in the future. Though I don't think that any of them will closely resemble Zii, especially as the sculpt was by an outside artist, and really doesn't look like Souldoll's usual style. I'm sure that there will be other, equally lovely boys for me to drool over, however. I have three Souldolls at this point, and still plan to purchase Ahee (especially if they ever release a tan version ), so I don't think that even this upsetting business will diminish my love for their work.

Having breathed that deep, cleansing breath of acceptance, I have to say, I still really want Zii
