1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Spirit Doll Acer, Firson & Camphor

Dec 17, 2009

    1. I finally got the Abies I've been waiting for for months -- one of the last, sadly. He is such a beautiful sculpt and goes so well with my Dolltown dolls.

    2. Does anyone have any other photos of the new Abies and old Abies to compare?

    3. here's a bump for the comparison of Abies...sniff! Mojomaca, he's beautiful~

    4. Thank you! I'm wondering what the new abies looks like with a faceup too!

    5. Sooo...I asked them about it...and ONLY the Abies head was adjusted...meaning all the others stay the same...? OH and for anyone who's interested, they didn't adjust Firson or any of the others...I think someone else already said that, though

    6. I didn't find it on this thread, so I was hoping someone with the v2 body could help me~

Could someone measure their v2 body's wirst circumference for me? 8) Please and thank you!

    7. @Devil's Trill: I don't actually have this body (yet) so I can't measure it for you in person, but here are the measurements of the v2 body from Spiritdoll's website.

      Height: 70 cm
Girth of the head: 22 cm
Girth of the neck: 10.5 cm
Width of the shoulder: 16 cm
Length of the arms: 21 cm
Girth of the chest: 32.5 cm
Girth of the waist: 23 cm
Girth of the hips: 29.5 cm
Length from shoulder to hip: 20 cm
Girth of the thigh: 17 cm
Girth of the calf: 12 cm
Length from bellybutton to foot: 45 cm
      Length of the feet: 8.5cm

Edit: Pfft. I thought your post said waist! I feel so dumb.

    8. Devil's Trill - I just measured mine, and his wrist is about 6.5 cm around (could probably go a little bit smaller, but definitely over 6 cm). Hope that helps :)

    9. LULZ, thanks anyway, Yimmit. 8)

Thank you mokarran, it does help very much. \o/

    10. :O I love this thread :D

Im saving up to buy spiritdoll proud body ver2 for my Chalco NS to make him a hybrid and I hear that Chalco has been the most pink batch from Soom yet (is that true?). And wanted to know if someone had these two and if they could photograph them please and thank you :D :D :D

I emailed Spiritdoll to find out if they did make a Soom resin match and they said only in group orders will they customize the resin's color *sighs*

    11. So these are long overdue. And I don't know if they're of any good anymore... since abies seems to be completely discontinued from the site. But heres a few shots of the old and new version abies.
Theres no bodies for them yet..one day I'll have two completed abies brothers to show you... but for now.

    12. Yes!!! Thank you so much for showing these. The 2nd version doesn't look as different as I thought it did from the original. BOTH are amazing sculpts. I hope you'll show them both finished soon, Old Abies is looking great with his faceup!

    13. I'll admit it took me a few days whe n I got the first head to realize how different it was. Initially I opened it and was so pleased to have such a pretty head. But then I was always bothered by the eyes, I thought they would ahve been larger, So I went looking at the website and compairing the head I had to the one on their site and say from the pictures there were differences in the ears and the eyes especially. So I emailed the company to ask about it. They were great to deal with really and when I expressed how disappointed I was with the change, and I even told them the new head was beautifull but just wasn't what I had ordered they were willing to rectify it quickly.

REALLY, the major difference in them is the older Abies has deeper set and larger more sad looking eyes, where the new are not as deep set and the angle upwards/are narrower.
and the size. the older head is larger/heftier over all. The noses are similar just the new abies nose is smaller and doesn't turn up as much at the tip. the lips are close to the same complete with little teefs showing :P.... well and the left ear on them is both different.

It's funny...they look close enough to one another and yet...so very different. I think they'll make great brothers!
Haha, I have my nefarious plans underway. Already have wigs in match shades for them. Ripley and Itzel.

    14. I really like the new Spiritdoll body, it is my favourite male sculpt :aheartbea And I'm dying to see your Abies brothers Koitten, how far are you with those two?

    15. Just discovering the Spiritdolls and would love to see more photos of them!

    16. :? Ok, we will now poke the list with a stick. *poke, poke* Is it dead? Is no one interested in these dolls anymore? :( This does not bode well for the wanting of a Firson. Was hoping to get more info, more pics of these guys? How they pose? What does the resin feel like? :sweat

    17. Well -- I think we need to add Abies to the list too -- as at least 10 of them are being re-cast next month! I have a tan Abies coming (and a limited Stayne!)

    18. :? Ok, I nearly give up. Where is the active Spirit doll list? It doesn't seem to be here at DOA, it isn't on the Spirit doll forum. The entire Spirit doll universe seems to be abandoned and I'm feeling like I really missed the party. :...(

    19. Hoping it will get busier here when everyone gets their new Staynes, Rouges and Abies.

    20. OK, just noticed this... and Bleach fans might be especially interested. :D

If you closed Camphor's eyes a little bit and sanded back that little rabbity thing he's got going on with his upper lip - well the resemblance is pretty spot on, IMO. :aheartbea
I kind of want to try this now. (dunno why, but I like the jerky anime boys). I'd probably put him on a DZ body... They're more skinny, right? And I'd soooo have to figure out a way to do easily removable extra arms.
