Spiritdoll - Elegance line - 58cm girls & 61cm boys!

I heard that the Spirit-Doll is making new bodies...

 

Really? for what size?

 

I wonder what size as well, since I just got my girl body for my floating head. I really love the bag it came in, just wondering why customs in NYC tore open the box and then re-taped it and put the bag inside upside down. At least there was no damage to the body inside, lots of bubble wrap saved it from damage.

 

I hope they re-do the girl's elegance body, the hands don't look like they belong with the rest of the sculpt and the knees are really awkward looking. The boy bodies are so much better. But wow -- I'd love to see them do some MSD or smaller sizes.

 

Oh! I really hope they DON'T redo either of the Elegance bodies! At least not until I can snag mine xD But that's rather odd as I was under the impression these bodies were fairly new?

Edit: Yes, I checked their forums and the Elegance line hasn't even been around over a year yet. I hardly think if such a rumor is true they would be resculpting them already.

The new dollies are "babies" (Yosd sized?).
Also, there's a White Queen and Hatter. Plus, what looks like a new big boy body.

 

I don't want the whole girl body redone -- just tweaked. But I will be thrilled to see spiritdoll do small bodies!

edit: just checked the blog -- already loving the baby sculpts and it looks like they're doing a beefy guy instead of the stringy () proud boys.

edit edit: Wow, I just scrolled all the way down and am gawking at the arm comparison of "uncle" and "proud"

 

I was very happy to see the new knee joints in all the dolls though. Much more esthetically pleasing.

 

They also updated the design of the torso joints on the jointed bodies to look less 'harsh' so to put it. I remember seeing photos of the boy body's torso joints looking all blocky when it was posed x.o

Though re:thigh joint - it's not quite a deal breaker for me, I just really wish they could at least give us an option...? ;n; It wouldn't hurt to ask... good poseability for at least one of my to-be girls is important to me as well. :< blah. I see no reason why it should've been taken away! D<

 

Which doll head is the Spiritdoll new elegance girl body showing? I quite like how they have no ankle joint for the high heel feet, looks aesthetically pleasing plus I imagine it would be more sturdy than one with a joint?

 

I am glad I got the older Elegance girl body when I did, I do like the new knees on the new body, but I love the joints in her thighs. I wonder why they decided to upgrade the bodies? Maybe we should ask them to keep the older styles for sale as a option.

 

I really wish they would. I had my heart so set on that body, and the more I think of it the more I realize I am unhappy with the changes ;_; I don't really care about the other joint upgrades, my silly too-attached self just wants the option to buy the original body as it was /whineee. I hope poor elegance girl's joint loss in particular won't get passed over though, since everyone's focus has really been on the proud girl body's changes... :/

 

Ah no! Wait, from the pictures without the thigh joint they still look pretty posable; that's relieving. I really hope to get an Elegance girl someday, and luckily, I am pretty impartial to the loss of the joint. But then again, I haven't had actual doll experience to really comprehend the difference.

Ummm... I'd like to ask about resin matches for Spiritdoll NS In the near future I want to buy an Eleganceboy body for my DollGru (NS) head, this body is an old dream of mine and I really want it for my character So... would Spirit NS match DollGru NS?
Somewhere I've read that yes, they make a good match...
I'm not really concerned about the size, I've checked that, should be okay. And a bit of resin(color) difference is not a problem for me, but, well... if its two totally different tones, that makes a tiny problem
So, when I look at my DollGru head,its kind of a yellow~y tone, in my opinion. I compared it to my DF normal pink boy, and DF resin is much more pinkish, a deeper tone. Dollzone ns is a bit pinker too, I guess, much much closer though. (Would make a good match I think ^^)
Does Spirit resin have a bit of a yellowish (?? xD) tone too? Which companies' resin does they match?
