1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. dollcrazy-Thanks for the video review!! So happy to see what someone thought about her!! Please show a updated photo of her when you get her new head with faceup, please! :)

      She is so adorable!!

    2. dollcrazy-Sorry for the double posting but I forgot to ask. What color resin is your new doll? I know they offered, DD color , white and I think normal skin color resin. Thank you for your time.

    3. I'm excited to see yours too! Did you order a faceup?

    4. No problem. I got her in the "Real Skin" color but wish I had gotten the darker "Normal Skin" instead. By the way, the unpainted head that I received was a Tsubaki sculpt; while the new head with faceup will be a Mitsy sculpt. I decided that the Tsubaki sculpt is a bit too wide for my tastes. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the Tsubaki head.

    5. Thank you! I will certainly upload a photo when my new "Mitsy" comes.

    6. dollcrazy: Yes, I did order her with a face up. :D

I'm excited to see the Misty sculpt you are getting with a face up! That was my second choice just in case I wasn't able to get Moe.

    7. Hey dollcrazy - I just wanted to thank you for your excellent video review! I'm glad SQ-labs is sending you a faced-up head, so that your doll will be complete :)

The body shape is nice... how does the resin seem to you?

    8. Thanks! The resin is very nice and smooth; and it's has a nice weight. Not to light or too heavy. It seems to be a high quality resin. Oh, while the legs have seams, the arms do not--at all! I think that's interesting.

    9. *sigh* after seeing the video I want one of those bodies even more....
I should probably stop spending though.
At least they haven't done a 2nd release yet. They said they will soon though.

    10. Note to everyone: My doll is strung so tightly that I could not pull hard enough to see inside the wrist and ankle holes; but now that I persisted, I realized that I was mistaken in my video when I said there were no hooks but a ring. Actually there is a hook between the inner string and the small string in the legs and wrists. Sorry about that misrepresentation.

    11. I got my shipping notice today! Yay! I'm so excited! I'm estimating my doll won't arrive till Wednesday/Thursday of next week.

I ordered an SQ Lab Moe with SG Body in WS with a face up. I'll be sure to post lots of pictures!

Did anyone else get a shipping notice today? :D

    12. No not here :) when did you order

    13. I ordered on July 10th. How about you? :)

    14. fragile>I can't wait to see your new girl! Please take a ton of pictures!

    15. Been away from the board for two days, so this post of my Tsubaki is a bit later than it might have been.

No faceup. That option wasn't offered until later, as I understood it, and it jacked the price, which wasn't something that worked well with my budge. She can wait for a faceup ... she's still insanely cute without it. :)

      My observations:
      • I like it the body. I have posers here that are far, far worse, so I don't consider her a bad poser ... perhaps a midling poser. There are little touches that are nice: the knees lock; the thigh locks as well and manage to follow the line of the derriere even when fully bent for sitting.
      • She's a great sitter, no back listing at all.
      • She's a solid stander. I haven't tried to see if she'll manage a one-legged stand.
      • She came perfectly strung ... I wouldn't have strung her any more or less tightly.
      • To my mind, the proportions are appealing and evocative of the anime style.
      • Hands and feet attach with the old-fashioned Volks method (string connected to hook connected to elastic). This isn't any problem with restringing; it does make it a little more difficult if you need to replace the string (use a curved needle or replace with a hook that fits the catch on the hand and comfortable into the wrist hole).
      • The wig is a ForMyDoll 8/9 and it fits perfectly. The colour is "Vintage Green" not blue as it looks in the picture on my computer.
      • Head mobility isn't bad, though she can't look up much. This is often a problem with heads that have a very small hole for the neck, as it limits how much the elastic can move around without over-extending the angle (which makes the head move back to a position that doesn't bend the elastic that much).
      • I think she's beautifully sculpted.
      • The quality of casting and finish is very nice. Mould lines are unsanded, but that's industry standard these days (or very expensive if you get the company to remove them ... and not many companies even offer this option anymore). That said, the resin is very smooth and matte.
      • The resin is of a lighter weight, without the satisfying heft of Volks or old Custom House, but it is certainly solid and perfectly acceptable.
      • Eyes were included in the preorder. I don't think they fit the eyewell at all ... in fact, I'd consider the eyewell the least well-designed of her features. Maybe it's just the Tsubaki sculpt, which seems to have smaller eyes to begin with. But it's not hard to take the eyes down a size.
I'm at a complete loss as to what will fit her. All MSD-sized clothing I have here is too small, both for the bust and hips. Trousers I can't even get past mid-thigh. I can just baaarely squeeze her into a pair of SDC boy short trousers, but those seams are under serious stress. Maybe Souldoll Kid? Those used to run slightly larger than other MSD-size clothing.

If anyone has luck finding a suitable size for her, let's keep a running list. I'd say Azone or Dollfie Dream sizes as well as anything tailored for a 50cm Obitsu might work, but the few I have here are just too big in the wrong places.

    16. Fragile, july 26 so i think it will be some time for me :)
Fair emma, she looks very cute :) i wish you luck with finding clothed for her

    17. ohh luv the body. Very curious to see more finished owner pics.

    18. FairEmma: O my gosh!!!! What an adorable little girl :D She's sooooo cute even without a face up! And that's a gorgeous wig! Congrats!!!!

    19. Iplehouse JID's are also on the larger size for MSDs maybe their clothes will work?
