SQ-lab SG Discussion Thread # 2

Sounds like by a process of an elimination, I'd suspect it has got to be the Volks matching one then. Real Skin (nevermind on the other post). I found some images on flickr that agree the new Volks and new Luts aren't too far off. Dollfie Dream color is much darker and pinker.
In short: I agree.

 

The head I'm waiting for also has a 9 cm neck. The Sarubia hybrid's owner told me the fit is far from perfect and it needs a lot of kips. I'll be trying hot glue on mine.

I'm a bit confused about the posing problems people are experiencing. I'm not having any trouble at all, not with her flat feet and not with her heeled feet. I absolutely love how she can stand up straight so very naturally and solidly in different positions!

 

Can anybody tell me if there are any resin color match the SQlab body. I want a real SD head

 

Volks and Luts are quite good match for real normal skin SQlab

 

A quick question for anyone who's dealt with SQ Labs recently, are they being particularly slow with responses as of late? I had sent an order inuiry a week ago about buying a couple of pairs of SG hands for my Dearmine Dearshine girl body but haven't heard anything back yet. I am wondering if this is due to A. Slow response time or B. Spam filter possibly loosing the email response.

 

I'm voting for A. Slow response time. They've been pretty slow with me to reply. 1-2 weeks.

My hubby offered to get me 2 pairs of hands and a pair of antlers for Christmas if I could set up the order for him (I'm doing something similar for him as far as his hobbies go) as he didn't understand SQ's order process. I last communicated with them about a doll purchase about 6-8 months ago and couldn't for the life of me remember how long it took for the response but I vaguely recalled it taking a while.
Still hoping to get a Ren and Moe eventually but I keep putting it off for various reasons (other doll releases and life keep getting in the way :P) so hopefully 2014 will be the year.

 

Received my Miyuki in DG61 body, but I don't think she is real skin white...oh well , she is still cute. Here is a pic of my Miyuki

Hmm looks like they got the "real skin" part but not the "white" lol. Is the real skin white supposed to match DD semi-white?

 

I ordered a head in white skin and it matches DD semi-white perfectly ^^
Sadly she doesn't look right next to my other dolls

 

I have no dd for comparison... DG61 body has very beautiful curves on her and definitely boobage...her toe nails are really sharp ! She has substantial weight to her.

Will definitely need to get the slightly smaller body as that body can use Msd shoes... But I am still lost as to whether I got white skin or real skin white skin ...,perhaps get another full sqlab girl once they open up for orders again.

 

Kaisuki there's no pinkish tone whatsoever if you ordered real white skin, it's really white through and through.

 

KalsUki, your Miyuki is just gorgeous! She really doesn't look very much like what you'd expect for a real skin white but she is very cute none-the-less

Got my response from SQ & both hand and a pair of antlers are on order ^^ My look forward to playing with them when they arrive. With Dearmine's Diana J Rose being a match for Volks Real Skin normal and having a similar size to the SG body I am really hoping the hands will be a good fit.

I'm really afraid of huge color difference.

I would like to know the answer to this question as well!

I really love the Anime style faces, like Volks DDs, and the Obitsu have, but I prefer boys and I prefer resin BJDs over Obitsu.

I own one Obitsu boy and while I love him, I don't love his body!

I also own a Volks MDD, I just couldn't resist her cute little anime face.

Even though I prefer the Volks MDD and DD bodies, over the Obitsu body, Volks doesn't make a boy DD.

They don't even offer a male chest option!

SQ Labs has so many gorgeous anime style heads, and they'd all make such cute boys. ^_^

I've already fallen in love with several of them!

Please, can you tell me if they will work on a Volks boy's body, and which size(s) will they work best on?

Pictures would be wonderful, if anyone is willing to temporarily put one of their beautiful girl's heads on a boy's body. ^_~

I'm specifically interested in whether or not they might work on a Volks SDC boy's body since it is slightly taller than a MSD and seems to have a wider neck.

 

I love anime style boys and also have some at home. Currently I'm planning to get the 55 Obitsu body, because i need larger boys for my SQLab girls. Usually i also prefer resin, but for the SQlab heads I like Obitsu much better, they are posing so much better compared to the official SQlab body. And for the boys, well, I don't like how the male Obitsu body looks, but the size is perfect next to the girls.
I took some pictures of SQLab Misty/Volks SDCute body. Works pretty good (except the resin match since my Volks is a Arashi which is several years old now):

I've put my SQ Lab Tsubaki head on a DD body. Here's how it looks like:



She might look good in this photo, but that's only due to angle it was taken... if you look at her from above - she's fine. But if you look at her from the front, she looks like she's got too small head on too long neck... I think she would look better on a slightly smaller body. Maybe DDS? Wish I had DDS body to check it out... but I only have MDD, and I don't want to put that head on MDD body (I've got that body share two other heads already).
