SQ-lab SG Discussion Thread # 2

I think Tsubaki looks great on an MDD body... DDS still have fairly broad shoulders, so that might not help. You could try Obitsu 50, the proportions would work well on that body.

 

I like SQ-lab head on DD body. I think on DD body, she look more sexy.

I had put in an order back when Navi was available through SQLabs(10/09) and i hadn't gotten a reply and it was the day before the period ended. So i found out that the company Lysdoll carried her and so I ordered it and they processed payment the next day. I emailed them a month ago 11/15 and they told me they are still waiting to hear from the company. I emailed them again today and i got a response saying that a month ago they were ready to ship the order but they are still waiting...Anyone else who ordered Navi in the same boat or did you all get yours?

 

I too placed an order with Lysdoll during the Navi pre-order period. I emailed them on 10/14 to ask if they can give an estimate on how long it would take for them to receive their order. They replied that it normally takes SQ-Lab a month to send their order.
Then on 11/14, I emailed them again to ask if they had heard from SQ-Lab. They said SQ-Lab told them orders were normally sent the week before, but did not receive any news for their order.
So..... on 12/12, I tried again.... Same reply.

 

If you check the waiting room there are more of us waiting for Navi, unable to get in touch with SQ-lab...

 

Does anyone have a link to a SQlab head on a msd body?

 

Just got a shipping notice! Sending my hopes out to all of you in the same situation that you also got yours!

 

I had planned to get a Kirie and Tsubaki boy, and tried to order the Kirie head from SQlab. Well, they never sent me an invoice or an answer since October, so I ordered an in-stock Tsubaki head from Little Garden UK, which arrived within a week.
Maybe I can get Kirie sometime later, if SQlab ever answers my order mails... but for now I'm really happy with my first boy:

Hey guys! I'm new to SQLabs and was wondering if you guys could give me some advice and tips? I'm interested in pre-ording Navi on the DG61 body, is it true the doll is only $390 and shipping is included? I feel like it's too good to be true!

I also read that some of you guys haven't been able to get a hold of them, is now an okay time to order?

Also, to order, I just send them an e-mail filling out the order form and then send the money with Paypal?

(Lastly, what is the relationship or SQLabs and Unoa, or did I make that up? hahah)

I want a SQ doll. But I am thinking about to have a dollfie dream too... DD won't became yellow while SQ has a cute face.

 

QueenObvious: My advice would to anyone wanting to order from them at this time is to wait to make sure they're gotten rid of the back-log. The price you mentioned is indeed correct (and since it's over 300$ shipping is free) for a blank doll. Most people would wait for order confirmation before sending payment, but it varies, otherwise the way to order you described seemed correct.
But sadly I don't believe you can order Navi at this point in time as the order period has long since ended (from the website: order time 2013/09/16 ~ 2013/10/12)

_Sushi: SQ-lab heads were originally made to go with the Dollfie Dream body, so If you prefer the SQ-lab headsculpts but prefer the look of the DD body you could always make a hybrid. And to prevent yellowing there is always UV-cut MSC.

I don't believe I shared here but I got my order a few days before christmas, or well, at least part of it. Turns out only the full doll (with face-up) + gift was in the package. I had ordered two extra blank Navi Heads as well as 3 extra pair of hands and they weren't in the package I got. I contacted SQ lab when I got the package almost 2 weeks ago and got a fast reply with a short apoloegy as well as being told my other items would ship that friday, but I guess that didn't. Will try to contact them again soon.

The gift was wonderful! It was a sleeping Navi head with slightly open eyes

 

That would be lovely to see a Sleeping Navi head! Any pics to share? Does any one get a real skin white skin Navi ? I am hoping to get another D61 body when SQ lab reopens. I am pretty sure mine is just normal Real Skin Miyuki.

 

DD/SQ hybrids are really easy to do! In fact SQ has skin tones designed to match DD bodies, nice because DD are hard to match to other resins since they are a bit more beige than the usual. And you can buy just the DD body from Volks (if it's in stock) so it's one of the easiest possible combinations

QueenObvious: I'm not actually sure on this one. I seem to recall that they usually sell the bodies during pre-orders only, but I'm not sure. You could always write to them and ask, but since It's been hard to get a hold of them I wouldn't get my hopes up on getting a reply.

SQ-lab told me they plan on shipping my order friday. Don't know if they'll actually do so but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

 

QueenObvious: Btw they do charge a pp fee, so it's slightly higher then the $390 (not a huge amount more but good to be aware of). I hope they finish all of their backlogged orders soon.

 

That's no problem, I'm not sure if I can get the body now anyways, but I did send them a message... (if they ever respond!).
