SQ-lab SG Discussion Thread # 2

I really hope they get their act together, even though I have almost lost hope in receiving a reply :\ I sent them several emails (from different accounts), as well as messages via yahoo auctions and their flickr.
I'm super glad I found this thread though @_@ I was getting really worried thinking that they might've been specifically ignoring me for some reason, but it looks like they aren't responding to anyone at all.

If anyone starts getting solid replies from them, I would love to know :S

 

I just got tracking information from them and it seems to be in transit to me - Ill update everyone when the items arrive and close the claim

It arrived today !

The resin match is perfect, and the order is complete and correct

They included two kitty headbands and two glasses as gifts

I closed the claim. I think its pretty safe to order from them, but just dont expect replies or communication unless you are going to make an order.

 

Will SQLabs heads fit on MDD bodies? I'm sorry if this has been answered before...

 

Yes they do. I would stick with smaller heads like Ren or Tsubaki. Larger heads like Ayumi or Tachibana may look disproportionate on a MDD body.

 

Is hibiki a smaller head?

 

Hibiki is on the small/regular side.

 

I desperately want to order normal lower legs with flat and heeled feet for my DG59 body. Hope they reply to my email soon. I wonder what the price will be as the website says the legs and feet are $60 together if you buy them with the body; doesn't say how much they cost when you buy them separately.

 

How many days do SQLab ship out orders?

 

Its a gamble.

the first time I ordered, communication was quick and the dolls got shipped out (dg59+61) within 5 days.

The second time, no communication whatsoever, no matter how many times we pleaded since people were worried, not even a payment confirmation and it took opening a paypal dispute for them to ship/contact me. A month and a half, I think it would have been longer had I not opened up a dispute.

Your best bet is to order through dealers - Ive ordered a body from The Little Garden. Shipping is very reasonable, packaging is great and communication was amazing. Just a tiny little more than from the official website, but for the service you get, I think it is reasonable. For those not willing to order through SQ until they get their communication improved, theres always that option.

 

So what are dealers for SQLab? And does that dealer ship internationally?

 

Yes they do. Dealers that i know of are lysdoll, thinkpink, littlegarden.

 

So they do communicate with their dealers..?

 

umm ... as far as I know they are awfully slow at communicating with their dealers too.

 

Just to update my situation. I received an email on May 9th (in reference to my paypal dispute) saying they would ship the following Monday but since then no shipping notice, no emails no nothing and obviously, no doll. I still have a complaint open with paypal and am about to contact them to see if I can get my money back. My next steps are to file fraud complaints with various consumer authorities and point them towards paypal to apply pressure for a refund. It's been three months and I've got nothing to show for it other than one email after two months to say they were about to ship.

 

I ordered from SQ Lab when they first opened and they were painfully slow with communication then too....I don't remember if I ever received a confirmation email, but I know that when I did get my items they were wonderful.

I really hope they get their act together! I have been wanting their body for a long time!

 

dollhausen: Totally agree with you. It's obvious that they never shipped out your doll, EMS shipping does not take more than a week to arrive. I'd take necessary actions against them to get the payment back. All my SQ girls have their own body now, and fortunately I was able to get all the SG heads that I had on my wish list, either from the MP here or from individual dealers. So I am glad to say that I will never have to deal with SQ Lab again.

 

I'm also a dealer for SQ Lab, but I've been having difficulty getting responses from them as well, and have been out of state the last few months.

 

Seeing how bad they are at communication has me worried but I still hope to one day order from them. Their bodies are perfect for some hybrids that I would like to do. I'll be keeping my eye on this thread for hopefully good news in the future.
