SQ-lab SG Discussion Thread # 2

I hope that body works for your plans @mionnaise! Is it for Sophia? The SQlab bodies are really beautiful. I'm hoping to get one for my Navi someday.

I finally got all the pieces of her outfit together, though I may bedazzle her shoes a little

 

@Cydril I love the eyebrows and 'finished' makeup look on your Navi - may I ask what body she is currently using? Looks so elegant and sleek with those long legs!

She's on the older Impldoll Star body. Shes about 65cm, so shes got legs for days

 

Just posting a photo of my Sleeping Navi. (Though not the head I recently ordered from Sqlabs, I have him since the start of the year). Still waiting for the normal version I pre-ordered. ^ ^

I also just restrung the body and took some process photos so let me know if anyone's interested in seeing how to restring a DG59 (modded) body.

@mionnaise I saw DG61 bodies for sale on Yahoo auctions so if you really want an SQlabs body you can check there. They have it for both skin colors. I actually also ordered a head from them (not the Navi I mentioned above) so if you're a bit hesitant on buying from a Yahoo seller I can let you know when the head arrives. ^ ^
(Though it might take 3 weeks for the arrival).

Not sure about the sale but it does look like a discount. Thelittlegarden is opening their last preorder however if you want to order directly from Sqlabs for a cheaper price, they are alive. I ordered from them during October and the order just came in today!!

Also got a free cat headband from them!!

@reitsuki did you use the email they have on their website? I've sent them two emails last month to ask about the DG61 body but they never replied. I'm trying to decide if I should just go with Little Garden even though the shipping is going to be quite pricey. =(

 

@purplepaws Yep I e-mailed them directly ([email protected]) but I just e-mailed my order form without any questions. I think that they have a bit of hard time with english therefore they don't tend to answer any questions (I don't mean to offend them or anything, my english is bad too.. *cries*). When I asked them about the production time after I sent my payment they didn't reply until about a month later when they ship and informed me my tracking number.

I also ordered from Japan Yahoo auction and received my orders promptly so you might want to try it if they don't reply to your order form.

 

@reitsuki I see... Thank you for letting me know. I just wanted to make sure that they still sell the DG61 bodies before putting in an order. I'll just go ahead and send them another email then. I try to avoid Y!JA as much as possible because of the shopping service fees but it's good to know there's a second option. ;A;

 

@purplepaws I received the reply e-mail 3 days after so I think 5 days is a good wait time for their reply. (✿´ ꒳ ` )ﾉ

I'm also thinking about ordering another DG59 body. The body is so beautiful!!

 

Just sent them an email. Now that I missed the Little Garden's pre-order, I really hope they will reply this time. Fingers crossed. I love SQ-Lab's bodies though I never owned one. I'm planning on putting my Bambi head on the DG61. Originally I wanted a SDGr body but they're a bit too pricey and I think the DG61 body looks more elegant... Plus all the extra hands I can get without the hassle of hunting them down on the marketplace. *A*

 

@purplepaws I agree!! The extra hands are really great and I really recommend getting a pair of flat feet/heel feet that is not the standard one that comes with their dolls because even with good heels that fit perfectly it was really hard to make the body stand... Also, in temrs of aesthetics I feel that their one piece torso's shape is one of the greatest. (///∇//)

 

@reitsuki Thank you for the advice. I'll make sure to add that to my order when I hear back from them. ^_^ Are they good posers otherwise?

 

@purplepaws To be honest, I don't really think that they are good posers since the torso's mobility is sacrificed for beauty. However, I find the body sitting very well and loves to cross her legs lol.

 

Still haven't heard back from them. I'm being impatient... But maybe I should start looking at other bodies. Too bad because I really liked SQ-Lab's style. :C

 

@purplepaws Sadol bodies are very similar, but different in skintones. I too missed the littlegarden order period, as I was waiting for my tax returns hahh... I hope they will get some in stock, though, because I bought a SQlab head 2nd hand and have trouble matching anything else to it. I think it's the pinker type of white? I don't even know Dx

 

@Adamantine Sadol is definitely on my watch list though I've been looking at April Story bodies lately. They have a great sale going on right now and I probably will try buying at least one body just to see how they match the Volks NS. Do you know what skin tone your head is? As far as I know SQ labs have two different NS, one matches DDs and the other Volks NS. If it's a pinker tone then it's probably the DD resin color. I know it can be a real pain to find matching bodies from different companies, especially if the slightest tone difference bothers the heck out of you like me... -__-

 

@purplepaws it's a WS head very light that has a pink undertone.
On a sidenote April story NS is almost perfect match to Volks NS, I had a hybrid for a whileand actually considered that for this SQlab head (junior body is very small for 'sd' while senior is more regular size)

 

@Adamantine SQ-Lab seems to be active on Y!JA. They have the color chart on the listing. Yours must be the regular white skin if it has the pinkish undertone. Maybe you can search for bodies that would match DD white skin? Or there's always getting the body from Y!JA if you don't mind the fees. I don't know why they won't return emails considering they're still active. :C
I was going to order junior body for my Bambi. She's supposed to be a petite girl... So the proportions don't look good with a SD head? I tried looking and I can't seem to find any hybrid photos.
