SQ-lab SG Discussion Thread # 2

Hi I have question does anyone think any of the sq lab heads would work for yuki and kyo sohma from fruits basket? I would love to have someone paint yuki, kyo and Toru for me^^

Hi hi dear everyone! I have emailed SQ Lab like 3 times over the past 2 weeks or so, and haven't gotten a respons back... does anybody know if anything's up..?

Maybe they're still on Lunar new year. It starting from 10 February, some have a week holiday or more than that.
Hope you will get their very soon

 

I recently found SQ Lab and have fallen in love!!! Can anyone tell me though, if you buy just the head, do they do face-up services with that, or do you have to do it yourself? I'm sure I can do it myself if I must, but their face-ups are so cute!!!

 

I believe they sell pre-painted heads separately (for a limited time/quantity?), if you buy only just a head (I think their price is $90?), you'll have to do it yourself! You should be able to find their pre-painted heads somewhere on the site @^@;;;

On the SQ-lab website under the pre-order section you can find a few pre-painted heads that you can order. They are $220 each. I'd double check with SQ-lab though before ordering. Their face ups are so cute!!! Hope that helps ^^

 

Yeah, I thought it might have something to do with New Year, but that's like, very much over now right?
I still haven't heard from them... getting frustrating. >.<"

 

Maybe you can try send them email one more time in the end of this month. And hope it will have some more respose from them.

@ clockworkangel, the whole februari month it's a bit of a holiday in china/asia. If I were you I'd send the email again this week. Normally Ranka replies within 3 days..

@ selente, a sqhead with faceup is $220 and blank $90. Sqlab als still sells the sqlabbody if you request it through email. A fullset (body + head + faceup + free ship.) is $440 if I remember correctly

It's kinda hard to tell from the pictures, but does any know or have a Madoka? Does she have the ':3' cat like lips?

And Madoka... looking at the pictures, if she does have cat lips, they are very slight. the upper lip has a curve up in the middle (looking at the blank face anyway)

 

I agree with kaszz, it seems very slight... the Hime head has also a '^' mouth. Which can also also be painted as a :3 mouth

CinderellaPink, thank you too! the top is from TTYA and I ordered it in MSD. Though it's a little bit on the small side for her arms and butt haha
The hands aren't hard to change, SQlab came up with a neat system:

There are two small 'gaps' where you can twist the hook into if you pull the hands out a bit. This way it'll keep in position while you switch the hands ^^

 

Yesterday I received my Azone Kurisu Makise! She's on an Obitsu 50cm body, so I put it next to the SQlab body to compair
If you're looking for a good alternative for you SQlab head, this kind of body won't be that bad at all It poses beautifully, is lightweight but doesn't look as good as the SQlab body (imo haha)
