I found one! My plan is to actually make him into Sephiroth.

 

Does anyone have any owner photos of Silver? I’m in the process of buying my own Silver off the marketplace and want to see how people are styling him

 

Any one else been keeping track of the new doll Anubis? I didn't have the money for Seth at the time, but Anubis is equally handsome. Here's hoping they permit a blue or another more unusual resin. That red was gorgeous

 

He's beautiful! I'm keen to see if he will get a beast head too.

he's fluffy maybe the feather he's balancing against a soul is a quill he's got a Victorian/Edwardian vibe to me.

I'm really sad, I'll probably have to sit this one out unless I can find a split for the beast head, I can't do the whole doll this year.

Which is a bummer since that last pose series shared with the sword held behind his back is amazing though, the body looks terrific.

Blue resin would be amazing!

 

As tempted as I was by her Anubis previews, I am absolutely utterly devastated to discover that she's a transphobe. I don't think I'll be buying any more dolls from her in the future.

 

I’m really relieved to see other people are boycotting.

The short version is, someone on one of SoSD's Instagram posts made a comment along the lines of "what on earth is this content?" (likely a reaction to one of the body posing posts with R18 promo images) and SoSD went into a completely unrelated tangent of saying that she equates trans people with sexual predators.

When a small dealer then said they could no longer offer SoSD's work as her transphobic comments went against the dealer's business ethos, SoSD had a bizarre, hostile exchange of messages with the dealer, which SoSD then posted publically, presenting the messages out of chronological order with some messages concealed, on her Instagram, accusing the dealer of attacking her (as well as making incorrect assumptions about the dealer's career outside of the hobby, values and behaviour).
In addition to the transphobic comments in the messages, SoSD said some unusual things such as claiming she had clairvoyance and had been a man in a previous life.

Personally, I think it's pretty hypocritical of someone who markets their work with R18 m/m erotica to turn around and say the particular kind of LGBTQI+ art they make is a "beautiful expression of pure love" but that an entire other group of LGBTQI+ people are "corrupted" or "wrong" simply for existing.

Also, even if Instagram's tagging system is largely non-functional, SoSD shouldn't be surprised that people have negative reactions to non-censored R18 fanwork erotica when she posts it in FFVII tags outside of the BJD sphere.
BJD hobbyists might be more used to naked anatomically correct bodies showing up when they browse social media (non-censored depictions of sex are taking it a bit further than usual however) but Final Fantasy fans could reasonably be unpleasantly surprised if they're trying to browse a tag and they're suddenly slapped in the face with Sephiroth genitalia.

SoSD's logic leaps and hypocrisy are baffling to me, and I sure as hell won't ever consider ordering from her, even if she is a talented sculptor.

 

Look at the comments on this post—she likens trans people to pedophiles in an absolutely disgusting comment.

bonus: I was the one to point out SoSD’s transphobia to that dealer and I am incredibly heartened by how quickly they removed SoSD and responded to their behaviour. It’s rare these days to see people really stick up for trans people when there’s financial incentive not to, but they put their money where their mouth was and I’m proud of them for that.

 

That's sickening like I'm actually so grossed out by her behavior. Is there a chance she's filtering/deleting comments? I'm not seeing anything regarding trans people on that post (unless I'm blind). I'm grateful for people like you who stick up for others and do their best to make a change, I'm glad the company listened to you and dropped her. She doesn't deserve any business after that.

 

From what I heard over on the Big BJD Discord server, anyone who disagreed with SoSD's "callout post" on the dealer was blocked.
When I last checked, the post had comments disabled. The silence speaks volumes.

 

Ahhh okay I found her FB "callout post," I unfollowed her on FB after selling off my Silver since her page wasn't relevant to me anymore. Her takes are insane!!! Thank you both for informing me.

 

I was so confused by the post they posted and wondered where the transphobia even came from. Personally, I don't like jumping to conclusions if they actually meant it that way or it was a genuine misunderstanding of what they meant to say I would like to see the specific comment they made stating that.
Anyways such a shame it came down to that I unfollowed them.

It seems the original transphobic comment on the post @Chameleon linked has been deleted by SoSD.
There are traces of where it used to be in other comments where she mentions violence and sexual abuse.
The original "what on earth" style comment that set off SoSD's transphobic reaction has also been removed, as well as any non-positive comments.

I don't enjoy drama, but I think it's important that people are aware of the beliefs and values held by artists and businesses, and what they are supporting as customers by giving that artist/business their money.

 

I too am blocking and boycotting her for this disgusting behavior. I LOVE her work but I don't want to buy from someone who holds views like this. Yuck.

 

I found out about this MID ORDER. I was ordering from dolce specifically and they provided the receipts, saying they could not take the order any more. I immediately blocked the artist cause I did not even wanna provide the mildest engagement although hearing she doubled down, I'm more then glad I did.

 

That is such a weird and disgusting thing to say how could she even equate the two even being remotely the same thing!?

 

Thanks for linking all of those posts folks, I had seen only the stuff she herself had posted but not what set it all off initially so that's interesting. What a strange way to out yourself as a horrible person. guess it worked though.
I really don't know what to do now though. I really love my Seth doll. He's basically a dream come true in terms of BJDs - but much like another form of media I used to really enjoy, he's been tarnished by his artist. I'm deeply disappointed.
