1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Strange collector?

    1. I don't think you are weird at all! I like having a variety of dolls in different sizes, different body types, different expressions, from different companies and so on, although I guess I do have my favorite styles and companies that I buy from more than once. But even so, I try to vary the dolls like different sizes, body types (if the company have more than 1 kind of body) or skin tone. :XD: But of course they all got to look good together so I usually stay away from the more... "unique" sizes, at least for now LOL.

    2. no, when i had more dolls they were all of varying sizes and companies ^^ i rarely fall for one "look" of one company (except maybe lillycat and doll-chateau), and instead for specific scupts

    3. I don't think you're weird at all! I have dolls from several companies and a variety of sizes. They don't look like they're from the same "world" at all. But I'm also fond of stories like "Alice in Wonderland", "The Neverending Story", "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" where an untold variety of people and cultures exist.

    4. I think it's nice to have a bit of diversity in a collection! I only have one doll, so I can't really add to the conversation too much, but I'd love to have dolls in quite a few different sizes/styles and from different companies one day down the track! I'd still like them to flow together as a collection though, so I guess I wouldn't go with anything too different...but who knows! :XD:

    5. Not weird at all! My collection is still small but so far consists of an MSD and an SD who's company styles (ResinSoul vs Ringdoll) are a bit different and future dolls I'm looking around for don't match each other or anything I own. The only way they might come close to fitting together is through my own personal styling.

    6. All my dolls are so wildly different. I like having the variety :)

    7. I have quite the motley crew in my collection as well. I have one 70cm, two SD sized (one has a skull face), a doll chateau msd dokudoll cyclops hybrid, a Fairyland Littlefee, a green Atelier Momoni Momonita (27cm), and a dollzone event Nono (10cm)-- with three Fairyland minifees and two Fairyland pukifees on the way. I love them all ♡♡♡

    8. I wouldn't see it as a strange thing at all! I'm personally like that as well, purposely buying dolls that are very different from one another because I like it that way; diverse!

    9. At this time, my collection is still Volks BJD only.
Even though Volks doesn't have the size I want (adult big size which is about 70cm or more) but I think I still be loyal with Volks.
I love Volks for the material and style, feel satisfied with doll in teen size and below from them but...
I tried to look at dolls from other brands/companies for the size I want (a big daddy to take care all of my little children, I think) but the one which could make me completely satisfy doesn't found out until now. Still looking for that!

    10. I love diversity, so I purposefully set my BJD world in a quirky neighborhood, with a fantasy realm just beyond the hedgerow. Like any neighborhood, there is great variety there, even though some are similar (such as particular family units or groups of similarly aged friends.) This way it all makes sense to me no matter what catches my eye to buy!:) I have a friend though who only collects Luts...and that’s great too. I’ve always admired her collection for the sheer cohesiveness of it.
