I just sent in an order for Narcissus in white w/horns. I think she's so wonderfully quirky and will be smashing with my Orchid and Snow (though Orchid and Snow share a body so I won't really see all three together for a quite a while.) I'm pleased as punch they're finally offering a ws option as the Snow is sooo yellowy that it was a little hard to faceup. not that I was disappointed with Snow, they said up front what the colour would be and the sculpt is fab, but you can't get a pale and delicate faceup on it, you have to go bold.

Narcissus is so adorably creepy! I'm hoping ever so much that they're not already sold out... though doesn't it seem ANS is doing slightly bigger editions the last few goes? Anybody else bringing one home?

 

I ordered my WS Narcissus head without horns yesterday and already paid her I am sure you will get one too, Lirin!

 

I would like a WS Narcissus as a creepy boy too, definitely with the horns! I really fell for the design of this whole head.

I also love that with these horns, he reminds me of Maho from Mushishi. But ANS released this great head at such a bad time that I think it'll be impossible for me to get him home in the first run. *sob* I just hope I'll be able to find him second hand ... with time. T__T

 

I just ordered my narcissus normal skin with horn I only have VOLKS SD size normal skin's body to match

 

I hope you get your heads, as I'm still waiting on my Shadow King head from last summer. The company doesn't email me about the head, they make empty promises, and basically I've given up all hope. The last thing I was told was that they'd send the head after the Chinese New Year, and I can reliably say that was a lie, like their other many lies.

I see in their lovely News post they're acknowledging the magnet problem that's apparently behind my not getting a head when everyone else received theirs...I just am so disheartened by this entire affair, I love their sculpts, but when things go wrong, they are a wretched company to deal with. I wish everyone the best of luck. If something goes awry, you're screwed.

The first time we shipped the head package in time. It had arrived USA. But then the American post office returned the package to China. When we recieved the package back. We found that the package had been destroyed. And the head was broken. Then we asked the factory to remake a new head for you. And we had shipped the new head again. Unfortunately, in the second time, the head package had been return by Chinese Customs. We negotiated with the China EMS company. They told us, if the head has any magnet inside, they couldn't take the package onto plane. And by this reason, the Customs returned the package twice. And by this reason, they refused to refund two postage costs. (We paid the shipping fee twice.$28+$28=$56)

We sent you many emails to tell you that we can return you money back by paypal. (We have email records) But you asked us to detach the magnets from the head then ship the head to you. It was very hard to detach the magnets from the head without broke the head. We tried many times but still not success. We told you many times we can return you the money back. But you insisted that we send the head to you.

We really donnt want to see this situation happen. We feel really sorry by this uncontrollable reasons.

Now heidi accept refund. So we return the money(include shipping fee) back immediately.

That's why we change the head structure inside this time.
"Now it's very hard to ship any package with magnet inside by plane from China Customs. So we will not put magnet in head(we still leave the place for magnet installing). We add a hook in cranium. And we will give rubber band as a present to fix the cranium."

 

My condolences for both side.
But I ordered Narcissus normal skin with horns. I hope I will get the possibility to play with it.

 

I'm quite unhappy. Of course I want the head more than the money. Why else would I spend money to buy that head in the first place? I've received the refund, but I can hardly count this a lovely transaction, and I will leave company feedback about this in the forum. Such a disappointment, as Another Secret sculpts are beautiful, but I am now fully aware that if any problems arise, they are ill-equipped to deal with issues. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. A company has never made me feel more miserable than this.

Heidi, I know this has to be a real disappointment, and trust me, I sympathize -- I've been in situations where no amount of refunded money would replace the head that I had been hoping to receive.

But surely you do see that Customs changing its rules about shipping magnets (this is going to affect a LOT of doll companies shipping from China, btw) is not something that they can control, right?

And having attempted to add a resin hook after-the-fact to a head that doesn't have one, I can say that unless it's molded as one piece, it just won't work. It can't take the tension of the stringing.

They're changing the design of their heads to deal with the new Customs rules. I hope that perhaps they might re-release a version of the Shadow King without magnets (and offer one to you for purchase), but they simply couldn't have predicted that this situation would arise.

There are a number of companies who wouldn't have offered to refund you the price of the head plus the shipping, so I'm glad that they are doing their best to make it right. I'm sorry this happened, but you can see that they have done their best to get your head to you, and to get your money back to you when it became obvious that they were going to have to go back to the drawing board on head design due to the new Customs rules.

I'm so in love with the new head!!!!!! Though I'm not sure I can get the money to get narcissus in time does anyone know what body might match the white one? :O I'm thinking of spiritdoll elegance girl body white with neck 9.5cm ..um...will it fit?

 

Aivy, I will get the Spiritdoll Elegance body too. I don´t care about color difference, that can be taken care of with blushing. I have the Snowwhite-head on a Spiritdoll Elegance body, and had another ANS-head on it before, and both do/did fit really well! So I assume the new head will also fit

 

I ordered the head in normal skin so I think I'll find for her Volks Normal or Dollstown oriental skin bodies.

It does seem like they're doing bigger editions or there is less mass appeal or something, so that you can reliably buy the heads until the order period ends. Remember the first few goes with all the heads selling in a day or less? I missed out on Orchid and Alice that way, and I still haven't found an alice.

I am guessing that since their ns matches volks PS and Dollstown Orientalskin pretty well, the ANS white will match Volks ws and Dollstown Freshskin at least decently. i am sincerely hoping that is the case as I have a white sd10 girl body sitting headless at the moment and it would be great if that worked for the new head. I think Spirit Doll white is very similar too, maybe a little lighter that volks and less grey than freshskin.

I've decided to order narcissus today, haven't pay it yet..but will soon \(^^)/ .. So happy this will be my first order I've done myself and my first time using my own paypal i hope everything goes well x)

 

I ordered Narcissus head in white skin. What do you think about Dollstown Elf body for her? Is it too small?
