Studio *ANother Secret* discussion thread

I have mine on a SD10 girl body. I ordered the white resin, so it kind of restricted my options, since so many companies use the super white resins, and ANS matches Volks, creamy not papery. I've heard that Spiritdoll colors match well, too.
I put Melusina, the Narcissus, on the 18 body, and she's not as small on it as I would have thought.... a little small in my eyes, but it's all preference. I wonder if the DT17 girl might be a little better scale? 9.1 cm neck and a little less bulky overall. Also, i've heard it's much more stable than the 18.... not to be a downer, I think the 18 girl is beautiful! but she's a lot of work. Even with her knees wired she doesn't stay very stable while standing/balancing.

@Lirin Thank you so much! I acually like her very much with the Dollstown 18 body! Maybe the shoulders are a little too wide for her head. Aww... Too bad, I found out that ANS white skin is too different from Dollstown's :\

I hope you aren't going by my pictures for the color match @Demiurgo, because they really aren't accurate. My DT18 girl is freshskin that is blushed pretty solidly with a beige peach color and the head has an older faceup with pink and green blushing. The ans white has a creamy yellow undertone but resins aren't as far off as they look here. You should get what appeals to you, but I just wanted to be honest that my pictures here are not color accurate.

To be honest, if you are getting a white Narcissus head, it may be hard to find a complete match that does not need some blushing to match. The best match I found is an older volks fcs white (not limited white). But blushing can help with a lot. The new dz/dc white might be a good fit too actually. Or older dt/dollshe craft fresh. My 2012 dt15 girl is a good match.

 

@Lirin Nono, the seller gently sent me some pictures of the head on a WS Dollstown '17 body. The difference in colour is very visible, but my friend told me she can blush the body, so the head and the body will match!

Right now I'm working on my Drizzle. I want to put him on a 62cm dollzone boy body, but the neck is far too long!

I'm also looking for a body for my I'm head. He has a large head and is very yellow. I try SDGou body but the neck is too wide and I really don't want to modify this body. I also try an old Dollzone 65 (awful!), fairyland 65 ( wrong color)... I thinj he needs a taller body. Maybe 68-70 cm. Any idea, please?

 

@Follow-the-Wind Try spiritdoll. Or dollstown! I just love their bodies...

Sadly none of the color offered by Dollstown will be ok. The I'm is... yellow. Like an old Spiritdoll body XD
I need to give a try with Spiritdoll. I forgot that I now own a Proud boy body. Tan skin, but, well, it's only to see how are the proportions!

 

@Follow-the-Wind Even if the color isn't a perfect match, you can always blush the body! :O

 

That's right! Buuuut I hate blushing bodies.
I usually blush heads rather than bodies. But I would prefer a correct match. I'm tiered of fighting with awful hybridizations

 

I haven't found a perfect match for my I'm head either (its NS), but I settled for an old super gem body that has mellowed a bit with time. I blushed the head a little pinker to make it a match. The shoulder width isn't bad compared to the head, but the neck is too long and skinny. Haha, I'm definitely not a perfectionist.

 

@Follow-the-Wind I know the feeling! Even if my friend told me she could blush the body to match the head, I looked for the perfect match anyway :3

 

@Duckherd Thank you for sharing your own experience! My I'm also is NS. I'm not afraid by neck moding, but I don't know a lot of very yellowed NS. Old Spiritdoll may be a good deal.

@Demiurgo it's nice from your friend to offer her help! If I find something I'll tell you. I still have an old ANS head (I think it's a Kouyou : a big and very yellow head) in need of a body. BTW my own Narcissus in on a Spiritdoll Elegance girl body. It's a good match but she is only 58cm tall. I think you want something bigger if you're looking at Dollstown 18 years body!

Yesterday I finished my Drizzle faceup. I'm not very happy with it (it's a little too girly and a little too pale for my taste). It will be ok for a while but I may redo it quite quickly!
He is on a Dollzone 62cm body in WS. The neck is shortened and the face is blushed in whiter tones for matching the body :

@Follow-the-Wind Without her I would have abandoned this hobby long ago D: I decided to shell the head as a Fox priestess, so I need a tall and slender body... I really like the k body 11 from DC, but, obviously the neck size of DC dolls are too small.

@Demiurgo Don't you like the Spiritdoll Proud girl body? It's taller and thinner than the Elegance. Is your Narcissus WS or NS? If needed I can show you an WS ANS head on WS Spiritdoll Proud body (first version).

Personally I like the lips a lot, but neither the eyes nor the cheeks. I dunno why.

 

@Follow-the-Wind No, I don't like the proud body. I like the elegance more tbh. I was looking at the Twigling body, but maybe it could be too big for the head... Maybe I should just go for the dollstown body or the dollzone body nb56-001 and call it a day.

Maybe if you could blush the cheecks more...? Maybe it's too red! I'm not really an expert of make up XD But I really like the eyes!

 

@Demiurgo I fear the Twigling body will be far too big ! I own one and it's a very tall girl. I put a Dollstown Elysia head on it. Moreover you will need to modify the neck.

About my Drizzle, well, maybe the cheeks are too much pink/red. I'll fix it an other day XD

I may be biased (I am lol) but I like Narcissus more :O

Btw I got the head! Took a picture, but it is terrible lol

 

Also, trying to find the perfect body for the head! Now it's on the new DC body, but the neck it's way too small for this head XD
