Stupidest thing you've ever done with your BJD?

It was a few days after I had gotten my first doll and he was sitting next to me and I was working on homework. I wasn't paying much attention to him and my cat came up and bit his finger off. Both he and I freaked out. XDDDDDD

 

I took my El Josiphe into a Sam Ash (a guitar and music center for those of you not near one of those stores) and propped him up in a big chair in front of a keyboard. I hit the button that makes the keyboard play an automatic song (even making the keys go down in the process), placed his hands on the keys and stepped into the next room.

I enjoyed the looks people gave him but later realized that something bad could have happened to my little guy. Well, no harm no foul, right?

 

Oh gosh, hm.
Just recently I was at an anime convention and took Adrien with all 3 days.
I was walking from my hotel to the convention center pretty swiftly because there was a panel I wanted to see that started in 15 minutes.
It wasn't until I was about 2 minutes away from the convention center that I realized I had forgotten my badge in my hotel room.
So in a fit of frustration, I ran back to my hotel, and by ran I mean practically sprinted!
Jumping over concrete things and everything.
It wasn't until I was safely sitting at this panel (which I was only about 5 minutes late too) that I thought about how easily I could have face planted while holding him.
So thankfully nothing bad did happen but, it could have potentially been 10x worse.

 

To my BJD: while changing her eyes I forgot to re-elastic her head cap, she fell back, her head cap fell off and hit the floor (thankfully it wasn't broken but the metal company brand plate went flying off and I still havent re-attatched it lol)

With my BJD: carrying her around Borders, taking pictures of her reading 'the hungry caterpillar' and then sitting her in a baby chair while my friends and I drank tea XD Twas good fun lol

 

Well, this one time Mortifox and I drug Trez (Bobobie Apollo) all over campus and took his pictures of him and whatnot... It doesn't sound stupid, but carrying around a suspiciously long bag while wearing black doesn't bode well with the campus police

 

I was doing some tattooing on my miumi's leg. wet out to apply th MSC and then brought her back in. what do I do? I touched it while it was still wet. ><"

 

The stupidest thing? I left my boy Riuske standing unattended on the kitchen table. He fell pretty hard and blunted his nose a little. I could have kicked myself for being so stupid.

 

The dumbest thing I've done so faaar.... uhm well I used masking tape on the inside of my boy's wig so it wouldn't stain his head, ironically that worked well but looked so ridiculous when you pulled his head off.

Another thing was playing out in the rain. o.o I was walking and a car zoomed by and we both got splattered with mud. X.x; I'm so glad his face was okay.

I almost jumped into a pool with my boy in my arms, I forgot I was holding him, but my friend yanked me backwards and then kidnapped him ^^;

 

I accidentally ruined my first doll's faceup and it ended up being the best thing that happened to either one of us. I became convinved that Luts hadn't sealed it properly, so I bought a can of MSC flat and went to work. Problem was, it ruined his glossing on his lips and eyes, making both flat and dull.

At first, I was traumatized. Then, after a few days I realized he photographed so much better and had become absolutely perfect without the shiny lips and eyes. Best mistake I ever made.

 

Put the new eyelashes I got on backwards. Well, they didn't look right the other way either. They sort of stuck out & curled up, I mean stuck out the wrong way-forward from her face. It was much worse when I turned them around, they just clung to her eyelids. Maybe I ordered the wrong kind, I don't know. The other pair is better but not great like all the other ones I see in pictures. Tsk.

 

Stupidist thing ive ever done with my doll...(this is considering ive only had him for what... 3 days now ?) is what im currently doing to him T_T...

I Brought Takuya into work with me yesterday to show a friend, & my boss didnt like it and told me to leave him at home today, but instead...as i dont like leaving him at home as my sister is off school & i know shell try and do something.... i brought him to work....

and Hid him in my bag...

Hes now sitting in my bag with the zip open read for me to take him out to leave work & go see 'here come the boys' at the O2 with me & my mum xD

Me and my friend were both outside spraying some MSC (I was doing a face-up and she was giving her boy a tattoo). I had Mimi's head on a paper plate, so that I could spin it around easily for spraying purposes. I spun the plate a little too hard and her head went flying, somehow at the same time the arm that my friend had been waiting to coat with MSC went flying too, both of us gasped in horror o_o

Luckly no damage was done to either part.

 

Threw a pair of scissors at one of them.
Swung the other one around by his legs.
Dropped one of them and broke her ear.
Forgot to seal after doing a face-up.
Keep losing one of em at doll meets.
Too many things. But somehow they're all still ok!

 

Honestly the stupidest thing i ever did was at a convention i let a couple of girls who were curious undress him then let every one stare at his poor boy bits. Yue never forgave me.

My desk is awash with bears, animals, and (today, it varies) three BJD. It's my desk and so long as it doesn't interfere with my work my boss doesn't have a say.

A few days ago, I brought my doll with me to do errands.

I went into a craft store and left my doll in the car. Usually, I'll bring her into a store like this but I wanted it to be super quick. It ended up taking 10 minutes. When I got back to my car, the inside of it was horrifically hot. A person would not have lasted those 10 minutes in the car without passing out (this is a phobia of mine).

Now, even though I covered my doll with a black sweater to protect from the sun, I am so scared of any possible heat damage as it can yellow dolls.

Never leaving her in the car again on a hot summer day!

 

I haven't owned Laurie long enough to do anything particularly stupid (yet) but I was frustrated with the loose wig (still haven't gotten a wig cap either...) so I used some double stick tape. At the time I was sure it was a bad idea but I did it anyways. I finally removed it a few days ago after reading online it was bad (although I never found out why, it came off easily and there wasn't discoloration since it wasn't on long).

Not much harms Laurie though since he's usually in his box all the time... the house is very very very dusty. His eyes are always closed though so he never sees the sun anyways XD

 

Today... restringing... and I was fiddling with Rune's legs, trying to see if the restringing helped them hold poses better (turns out the hot-glue I added was causing the problem...) and now he always bends forward... that's not the stupid thing. The stupid thing was, when I was fiddling, he bent forward... and stayed standing like that. He didn't have arms on and I was like "Wow! You've never been able to hold a pose like that!" and proceeded to reach for my camera. In those moments, Rune's body managed to fall forward, off the table it was on, crash into my leg and then fall onto tiles...

Not a single scratch, but damn, I was shaking after Rune's body fell! Thank goodness his head wasn't on!

 

*Begins to climb up a tree*

ROFL.

Didnt end too nicely when you decide to climb up a tree 5 in the morning with a bjd on your back. I was bored...

 

Not checked to see how easily certain company clothes stain...Nassam now has a black ring on his arm, stained hands and a black bum...and he's vinyl X.x (obitsu 60 before anyone asks)

Oh, and another stupid with Nassam - carry him around in my arms in Camden on a sunday. Some idiot elbowed me into a wall and Nassam now has three stains over his faceup ;-;

Only other silly I can think of is sweep my arm out in a gesture, knocked over someone's cola (sorry Mao, sorry!) and drenched Kaysar and his silk kimono in cola...
