Stupidest thing you've ever done with your BJD?

Putting my dolls in the living room... where they didn't get any direct light, but boy did they get a lot of indirect light.

I noticed that they were yellowing faster then they should, and moved them into my room, which I keep dark for several reasons... the bamboo roman blinds still let a little light in... which shone directly on my dolls when the sun was setting. The only spot I can seem to put them is in a corner of my room that shares the same wall as the window. But it's an odd corner, so I need to build a custom shelf unit to house them in. Here's hoping I have enough space to build something of decent size!

 

dancing with my boy then tripping over my dog and dropping him I have to say, He hated me for weeks!

 

whoo, okay, glad to see I'm not the only one that did this! but instead of tripping over my dog, I tripped over my sister's laptop which was on the floor at the time. XD

 

The stupidest thing I've done was literally leave my doll on the dresser right next to the open-blinds window on a sunny day! :C Not purposely might I add.

 

hmm, I've only had my boy a week and so far all I've done his leave him standing after I got the pictures I wanted when I know he's a terrible stander and had him fall a few minutes later. Luckily he wasn't hurt.

 

i bought a pair of black leggings from someone on the MP. thinking that they came from a previous doll owner, i thought they might have been washed thus taking the "dye" out of the fabric.
nope.
i left him in those leggings thinking nothing of it for days, and then finally took them off to change him and whined when his joints were all stained. luckily, the magic eraser saved his poor legs

 

I was heating a head with a hairdryer to take out hot glued in eyes & accidentally pulled the top of the head into a different shape. Thank goodness it was very easy to fix by just reheating the head & shaping it to the headcap. Brief moment of panic there though.

 

errrrrrr....

Packed to move to college dorm. Opened the box for my dolls when I got there and realized that I forgot to warp my D.O.T Sha's hands and his pinkie is broken....

Had to swap his current pair of hands with a spare pair that I bought earlier (Thanks god I bought a spare one)

 

I don't think I've posted here yet, from what I can recall. SO, I think the stupidest thing I've ever done with my dolls was when I got my first doll, Artemis. I left poor Missy sitting on the sewing table in my room and I happened to be having a Halloween party so a lot of people were in and out of there. I also happen to have a LARGE rabbit who roams loose in my room (he has a litterbox, so it's cool XD promise) and SOMEONE knocked her off while I was gone and either didn't notice or just didn't bother to pick her up. When I came back in and found her she had chew marks on one of her knees. D; I was pretty upset, but now I am like, "Could have been worse. Battle scars are alright as long as they're not HUGE. And stalkings cover these." I have come to deal with it.

 

Well, I don't have a doll yet, and I don't know it fits this topic, but I'm currently selling my mangas, and friends told me I couldn't do anything more stupid for a BJD... I think it's faaaar worth it!

 

Selling manga?! That's a perfectly viable solution!

It depends, though. I could sell my video games (I have a lot of rare ones, so I could actually sell about seven of the rarest ones to afford a Luts doll), but to me, that's crazy talk. :P

 

I left Aska on a low shelf and left for a while... when I got back our baby schnauzer Zelda had taken off her wig and chewed on it... luckily, it was just the wig o_o;; But it doesn't fit as well anymore and looks a little strange. XD Since then I've had nightmares about Zelda chewing on poor Aska XD >o<

 

I left both Yuu and Naoki in our incredibly bright window filled lounge............
Fortunately they haven't yellowed

 

Oh also, instead of buying a new string and restringing my boy, i just cut it shorter in the head and then where it loops back in his pelivc area, and then retied it. He's tighter now, but I know one day I'm going to be sleeping and it's going to untie and his parts are going to crash all over the room and probably make me pee myself in fright! lol.

drop him a lot i take him a lot of places
even though he is just a head (his body will get here soon so woot!)
and i always seem to drop him somehow, I'm surprised he hasn't broken anything
he is so sturdy lol

Jynx: You better be getting my body soon, so i can properly kick you D:<

Edit: oh and how could i forget! I left him in the Airport bathroom
I was so worried about him
I can't believe he almost got stolen because I'm such a forgetful person.
But luckily i got him back,
I was so happy i did =3=

 

Well, I think letting my 8 year old cousin see Luina was bad enough. She like, poked her right in the eye jabbing her eyelashes back DX and questioned why she had scary eyes (ones white ones red) so then i had to change the eyes, right there and then so that she wouldn't be scared *sigh* it took forever.
But in the end, i think her pushing the eyelashes back was a good thing, because her eyeslashes are in a wierd position anyway

 

So, I finally got myself to stop chewing my nails and I accidentally scratched my boy Dame's lip D:

 

I had my Orion for a full five minutes and posed him standing on one leg. At the corner of the table. And turned to grab my camera. Crash! He took a 3 foot nosedive onto the hardwood floor.

Fortunately it seems I got one free Idiot Moment because he managed not to break or chip anything, and the black marks that he had all over his nearly naked at the time body (must have hit the table leg or something) came off with Magic Marker. Was I ever thankful!

 

Posed near the edge of a small waterfall and tried to take some pictures without a "spotter". Never ever again...

 

was dressing my boy at the very last minute before going to a meet.
i had drawn on my nails with black sharpy that day -__- try to guess what happened xD
to remove it, i had to remove half of his body blusing D:

also i keep knocking my SD boy's feet and head everywhere XD

let the doll ON the cat. the cat started to taste his fingers XD

went into another room and left my boy STANDING on the table...
