Stupidest thing you've ever done with your BJD?

Is this considered smart or stupid?



My friend and I were shopping for groceries, and we ditched the carriers since the hypermart doesn't allow bags in, and since we're carrying them, there's no way we can grab hold of cold storage stuff with them in hand. SO we placed them onto the kiddie seat, and have one of us to grab stuffs while one takes care of the trolley AND the kids (you won't know what will happen).

There is this promotion lady even asked if the SD16 boy is a girl (with obvious muscles showing~he was wearing sleeveless at that time), and another one mistaken him for a dog when he was in my arms in the same hypermart.

Some of the passer-bys even insisted Isao a girl even though my friend jinlin just told them he was a boy!~ ........About the dangling-by-feet-to make-sure-the-wig-doens't-fall-off, we did them anyways with our own boys.

The most WRONG thing I ever had in mind when cleaning him like a baby, with his two legs held up to clean his bottom.........

 

I have one... Actually, I probably have 49726556 or so, but this one is my boyfriend's so I'll share it first! ^_^

After Metrocon: Amano's World, my boyfriend and our best friends stopped at Burger King for dinner. Dante was perched on the edge of the table between my boyfriend and I. My boyfriend reached over to push him back or something, and he fell backwards... Into a puddle of ketchup. His long wig was covered in it, and though I have washed his hair a few times it still smells like ketchup. Ick. No more sitting on tables during dinner, that's for sure!

 

A few months ago I had just made a new face up for my boy. I took him with me to the kitchen to show him how to bake a cake. He was sitting on the corner of the table while I was making the batter. I don't remember why, but for some reason I had to lift him over the table, and what else - I dropped him to the bowl full of batter! Of course the face up got all ruined so I had to immediately take him to the bath and wash all his clothes and make a new batter and later a new face up. I didn't take him to the kitchen for a while after that.

 

Let's see . . . .

There was the time I tried to use a totally improper knife to seperate Yukio's fingers (I'd lost the x-acto I started with or something) and totally sliced a finger up so bad we were debating going to get stitches for awhile. (Nice scar from that.)

Then there was the time I took Yukio out on campus (which is always windy) and his wig blew off onto the patio thing next to our dorm . . . which is like ten feet below ground from the outside (it just drops off) and to which the door from the first floor is locked (no one knows where the key to it is). So I ended up getting one of the guys on the first floor to climb out the window to get it XD;;;;

The first time I unstrung Yukio I managed to make his parts go flying everywhere.

I continually hit (mostly Satoru's) heads against things. (I'm sorry ._.)

I also continually accidently knock them over . . . but none of mine have gotten hurt yet, even though they've taken some nasty falls (mostly accidently). . . . like when I was in Chicago on a school trip and one of the teachers knocked my DoD U off the table in a restraunt so hard his headcap went flying O_o; (He came out miraculously unscathed).

. . . there was the time I accidently stepped on one of Yasuo's default hands (when he was still a U). I didn't ever bother to glue it back together as he never wore it.

Once I had them with me when I was working over the summer and left two of them standing (only being able to stand leaning against each other) while I went to answer someone calling me. I about had an anxiety attack wondering if they were going to fall ^^;;; (They didn't.)


. . . god, I get the feeling I could go on entirely too long ._.;;;

 

I have done that and hit my self in the eye. I was restringing his leg and the hook slipped back into the leg and my hand snapped back up and I gave myself quite the black eye That was 22nd dec. on the 23rd we had a family do with the inlaws. I just told them that my doll was violent.
when they looked at him (I had brought him too) then really stood away from him, I mean, like he was going to jump up and hit someone?
hahahah

 

About two days after I first got Connor I took him outside for the first time (just into our back garden) and while trying to take a photo had him topple head first into our fish pond. I gave this tiny scream, lunged forward and dragged the guy out (he'd only been in a couple of seconds). Then realised his wig had come off in the fall and I had to half wrestle one of our bloody koi for it (apparently BF wigs are tasty?)

He was fine though so I popped his clothes in the washer and unstrung him and all was fine. On the plus side, it totally got me over and fear of taking him apart and restringing I might have had XD.

 

Letting her sit alone on a metal bleacher. I thought Emilie was mature enough to not be an attention whore, but apparentally not! I didn't pay attention to her and she did a total faceplant right onto the seat below us. Dx It was really funny though, a comical CLTHUNK. was all we heard.

 

when I notice my sharmin's fingers are not already open , I use a knife to open them. Finally I found her legs got a little hurt by the knife.-___-

 

Well the other night I attempted to make Kyle a new shirt (stupid mistake number 1 'cause I can't sew at all) and well he just wasn't being very cooperative so I kept having to reposition him and well I had gotten called from the other room while I was trying to position him and well he didn't want to sit up and fell forward, hitting the glass surface of my desk. I completly freaked out and checked him over and over to make sure he was alright.

Thank the gods he was! But it didn't end there ^^;

I was still determined to make him a shirt (Why couldn't I just wait until I went to my gfs?) and I had him sitting on my stereo next to my bed and I was trying to put the shirt on him, he slipped and nearly fell to the ground. I caught him but he banged his head again! I freaked again, checked him forever and he's still alright! Thank goodness!

Now I just hold him close and keep him near the bed so if he falls, it's a soft landing ^^;

 

lol i got my doll new shoes and was standing him up on the table to show him off to my mom. I thought i had him balanced and took my hands away. But he had a crazy leg moment and took a drop and landed heavily on the floor. I only managed to catch his wig :<
unfortunatly he's only got 2 fingers left on one hand. x) i feel so bad when i look at him now i can't trust him with heights any more.

 

Nothing really bad has ever happend to my dolls though they do take the occasional short plunge...

But the most embarrasing moment I've ever had was at my first doll meet my Ethan lost his shorts in a crowded room of an art museum exposing his little boy bits to the world! Thankfully I don't think anyone really noticed.

 

^___^;;; On a trip to visit family.... I took my dolls to the hotel's court where they had a pool and fountain and a bunch of pretty scenery...I took Elisabeth out first. Well, I set her up on the fountain and stood her up because she's like my best stander XD When I did that, I got distracted and looked away for A SECOND. Just a second. When I turned back, she wasn't there and for some reason looked into the water and there she was taking a swim. XD I grabbed her, wringed her out a bit, and took pictures in which she looked like she was laughing....

 

Ryo's eyelashes had come off in the living room so I "carried" them on the tip of my index finger to another room with brighter light and realized they had flown off as I was walking and so I panicked. Thankfully, the eyelashes miraculously appeared somewhere on the kitchen floor about a half hour later. ^^

NEVER NEVER NEVER will I take my eyes off detached eyelashes. EVER. NEVER!

 

I love how all of his accidents or potential accidents were ones where I was there, too! XD

 

The stupidest thing I ever did with Benji was try to prop him on my head so my bf could take piccys of us. I had him on his stomach on my head and my bf kept telling me to come closer, well neither one of us noticed the dip and I litteraly tumbled forward onto the ground and poor Benji flew off my head. We were both covered in dirt. Luckily he wasn't damaged. My stupid bf was laughing his head off and thank god never got any pics of the mishap, talk about embarrasing if he had!

 

Stupid? Yes, I've recently done this.....just yesterday, I took my new Volks AS Shiro Tachibana to the fair with me with out a carrier, I uselly don't take them anywhere without a doll carrier....

But, the most stupidest thing I've done that day was.....I took him with me on the bumper cars!

I couldn't hold him properly and drive at the same time so my new $1,200.00 Doll went crashing face down on the floor of my bumper car.

 

Stupidest thing I have done was probably my recent (as in, this morning? haha) attempt to Balance Emma on top of my makeup bag, purse and little palette of eyeshadow.
Like the klutz I always prove myself to be, I tripped on my too-long jeans (I'm too short to wear normal-length jeans, or else they bag like these do) and lost her. She sort of...shimmied off of the bag and onto the floor. I was SO SCARED. But she was fine.

That, and my attempt to straighten one of her wigs. I put the straightener on the lowest possible setting, which, apparently, is enough to melt one of my face-paint crayons...which was pink. It got into a puddle that managed to touch the edge of the straightener without my noticing before I put it to her hair.
Now she has a few random pink spots in her hair...XD
At least I had another wig to let the pinked one soak *facepalm*
I'm an idiot! ><

 

I've not done anything ridiculously silly with Rune yet... though, on his first few attempts to stand, he was balancing and I was all "Yaaay!" I reached for the camera, looked down to change the setting and I heard this dull 'thud'. I frantically looked up and saw him, flat on his back, with his head cap skewed. Me, being the total newbie I am, freaked out - I wasn't aware that CP Lu-Wens didn't have magnetic head caps... and so was freaking out that I'd done some serious damage. ^^; Still, to this very day, I've not had Rune stand yet - he much, much prefers to sit. Methinks his strining in his legs and all that is a bit funny... and any attempts to stand him are made on carpet!!!

Ok there many be some silly things (viewed from another's point of view) but I am all good

 

the day after I got my first boy back from getting his face up I had him posed in the study while I headed to get my camera from the other room. Halfway to getting the camera I hear my mother scream. I run back into the room to see Dominick underneath a 2,000 page calculus text book and another big book laying on the floor next to him j^j
Apparently mom had pulled a chap book off the shelf and knocked off a book that knocked off another book. His face up suffered very little, and he wasn't broken. My mom has yet to stop apologizing, according to her when I walked in and saw his hand reaching up from under that book it was the most horrified she'd ever seen me D=
