1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Sugarble Limiteds discussion part 1

Mar 1, 2010

    1. Venetica, Thanks for the video! I was on the fence about Sugarble Sugarsleek. I love the look of the body, but they didn't really have any faces that I was in love with. That thigh joint is the deal breaker for me. I need more posability, and less disappearing butt. I'm going to keep an eye on them and see what they can do to improve it, and I can't wait to see that Medusa snake tail.

    2. Just ducking in to say :o I've got major omg-wants for that snake tail... That looks freaking -AWESOME!- I have to keep looking again to see how it moves~~ :D My hat is off to the sculptor for carving all those tiny scales! :aeyepop:

    3. I finished paying off my layaway today, and I sent them a message saying thanks for providing layaway - I know some companies don't - because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to buy her.

Also, the Sugarble customer service is really good and they are so polite! It takes a while for me to make an order but I think I'll definitely make another in the future.

    4. awwwwwwwwwwww i just fell in love!!!!!!:fangirl: Selena is the next girl in my wish list, she is soooo sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:aheartbea

    5. I've been eyeing the sugarsleek S line Golden Tears for a while now. The new body has nice joints and better posabilty. Don't know when I'll have the money though. I wonder if she (with the glamor body) would look odd next to a mature tiny like Soom's mini Gem with her bigger head.

    6. Are the mini gem the faeries? Those are quite small/slim. They are almost different scales of doll than a standard 26cm. She does look fine next to a teenie gem. I actually have a teenie gem head on a Sugarble glamour body and it looks fine.

    7. The fairies are the same as the mini gem, which are proportioned like adults instead of the more common child. A few companies make them and most of them are more slim than Sugarable. Maybe once my mini gem actually comes I'll be able to tell. I hope so, Golden Tears has an enchanting face.

    8. Okay. Darn, I'm wishing I'd taken a photo of my girl next to the mini gem that was at the last meet. I think they could look good together, but they probably wouldn't look like they were in-scale with one another is what I was trying to say. Mini gem have a more realistic proportion, Sugarble have the more anime-style chibi proportion.

    9. Does anyone know if Sugarble emails you when the doll is sent? On the day that I paid off my layaway they said they would ship her, but the order hasn't updated to reflect that.. I'm worried because I want to take photos for the even and if she hasn't been sent out already, she won't arrive in time :/

    10. Kthulu42; Sugarble seem to email you a tracking number once items have been shipped and your account page updates to 'on shipping'.

Also, when you click on your order number, what looks like a receipt pops up in another window which contains details of your order/payment method and tracking number once your package has shipped.

Maybe they haven't emailed you yet? Hope Darlene arrives in time for you *hugs*

    11. @Ashbunny I don't think she's been sent, it just says "Money Transfer received"

It's not a big deal if I can't take photos for the event, but I hope they ship her soon. I made her a little dress and I can't wait to see if it fits okay, seeing as she's slimmer than my other yo-sd.

    12. Kthulu42; aww, bless you! I bet the dress will be perfect for Darlene :D Fingers crossed she'll come really really sooooon! I'm not sure if Sugarble start to prepare your order once you've made the first payment or if they wait until you complete the layaway....??

    13. They didn't send me a shipping notice. I logged on a few days ago and saw that the status had changed to "on shipping". The order details had the tracking number.

    14. It's possible your spam boxes are catching the emails, I got an email from them when my girl shipped.

Supposedly she's going to get to me today, they tried to deliver on Saturday but no one was here.

She did arrive. Yay. I don't care about winning the contest, I just wanted the fun of entering (And I got my contest entry in today too).

    15. I got my shipping notice today! I'm really pleased and I can't wait for her to arrive. I also bought her the cutest pair of red boots and they arrived yesterday, I was pretty worried they wouldn't show up on time.

    16. Ok. So I have an issue with my Sugarable Darlene on the girl body (not glamour). I DISLIKE her legs. She's strung criss-cross through the hips and this causes her legs to cross. Even when I un-criss-cross them, it makes it worse. She's snappy, but it doesn't seem she's tight. Is there somewhere among these discussions that talks about fixing this? The balls of her legs at the top of thighs are really weird. Anyone know why they're made like they are?

Also, any discussion about clothes? :) She's so tiny! Nothing I have that's Yo-SD fits her. All too big! It's like I have to custom-make things for her...

    17. They can wear Cy-Cool girl clothes, Licca clothes, and Barbie clothes. They can wear stuff made for Hujoo too but it'll be a little short. (Width is the same, Hujoos are shorter). Pullip stuff is the same way. Ruby Red Galleria In Motion shoes were great for the older body, I haven't tried them on the newer body with smaller foot yet.

I am planning on restringing my girl because of the leg snap issue, I just haven't gotten around to it.

    18. Well, I think some restringing yes will help. And hot glue sueding in the joints. My girl likes to smack her eyes. Poor thing.

Does anyone else have a faceplate issue? It not sitting right with the headback?

    19. I'm going to be honest here...I'm not bonding with my Adela at all. I've mentioned this in another thread, but I realize now that she was an impulse buy. That and I am an MSD lover - I made an exception for my 29cm Momocolor Lucy, but even she's pushing it. What's making me feel guilty about parting with her is the personalized birth certificates and all of the extra goodies Sugarble showered on me:sigh
