Just paid for my order in full. I was surprised to find that it was actually less than I'd originally calculated it to be *yea!*. I got the white tail and upper intersex body with the Adrian head and face-up. Now I need to figure out what to do about a wig for this boy. Buy one? Make one? Decisions, decisions.

Thanks for the resin comparison, i also thought it looked pretty dark out of the official photoshoots so im kinda undecided between that and the white skin.
I sooo want to order the dark violet tail with Serena's head and i think Aiko's face-up...gaaah temptation..Serena was the first doll i wanted and the tails look like they pose so well but moneys lols i have doll money, i'm just meant to save it for LDoll. Anyone know if these tails are on a time limit?

 

woohoo! I just ordered my boy!!! I got the Emerald tail with the white intersex body and the Patrick head and face-up and his name shall be Callum! XD squeeeee~! Had to just make the down payment for now as I'm waiting for my school money but at least he's ordered.

and yay! Iron_Dog! not sure what to say about the wig, I have things to attempt an alpaca wig but I don't think that's what I want for my little Callum. Do you know what kind of style you want for his hair?

LoulabelleBlue I believe someone asked in the news thread and Sugarble said they're not a limited item, it's just the sale/event makes them a really good buy if you order in the next couple weeks.

 

Ok, I'm trying to order my naga tail and am very confused. When it gets to the gift head part, it has (Isobel, Rebecca, Adela). Can we select the head we want or is it random between these three? (I want Rebecca.) Also, do we know the color of the gift head? I think you get a gift head if you only buy the naga part because that's what they said in their news post on DOA, but I could be wrong. Help!

 

Those 3 characters (Isobel, Rebecca & Adalea) have the same head (no. 6-R). If you want the Rebecca face up then choose that $40 option. I'm pretty sure the 'gift' head will be the same color resin as the upper body.

 

I'm not actually ordering the upper body, but only the naga part. I have a grey Rebecca already, but just wanted an alternate look for her on the second head. I guess I will ask on the Q&A board.

 

I never even thought about the colour of the gift head. I assumed that it'd be the same as the "body". Hmmm, should we ask if that's the case?

 

When you check out, there is a place to put a note and I just asked them for a gray Rebecca head. I don't think they will have a problem with it as they said on the promotion that you can choose any color.

 

My order is already confirmed. I guess it wouldn't hurt to shoot them an email to make sure it's a WS head.

 

I won't be getting another tail right now, too pricey even with the discount to justify 'upgrading' my girl's tail color at the moment.

Wish they released the angel wings in all the colors of the tails.

 

I hope the Naga dolls will be available for a while because I'd love love to get a black tailed one but don't have the money right now.

 

urgh, now I'm tempted by the fact that you can get the wings in emerald. They would look really great with my boys tail and the style would actually work really well with his background. To add or not to add to my order...

 

As much as I love the newest tail colors, after thinking about it long and hard, I really don't need another tail, especially since mine is already painted to my liking. I'll have to enjoy the beautiful colors from afar Hoping to see lots of new Mirror owners!

Could anybody give me some ideas of eye sizes for the Sugarsleek R line as well as wig size? The site says 14mm but the accompanying pic has the iris taking up the majority of the eye, which is not the look I want for my boy. How do 12mm look in the heads? Specifically, the Adrian head. And I might be blind but I didn't see anything telling me what size wig is right.

I'm not certain if I'll buy him a wig or make one. If I were to buy one, it'd be mohair most likely. If I make it, I'd probably use some rabbit fur that I have. His lover's wig (which I finished tonight) is cinnamon-coloured rabbit fur and it might be kinda cool if they both have rabbit fur wigs.

Hmm, the 12mm still look really big in his eye sockets. Darn. I might need to wait until he gets here to see what size will work for him. I have sizes from 10-14mm to test on him but I'd wanted to have his eyes when he got here (whenever that'll be).

 

I just heard back from Sugarble about whether or not my gift head will be the same colour as the body/tail I ordered. I said that I'd forgotten to specify that I needed the head in the same colour as the torso. This is their response:

Hi. This is SUGARBLE.
The gift head part is now on production, and the color will definitely be fitted on upper body. We are paying our sincerist attention on preparing product, so you might not be needed to worry about it. Please be waiting for just a while till the preperation is done.

Yea! for both the colour being the same as well as my boy being in production right now.

 

It's my pleasure! I'd try 10mm eyes for you, but I don't actually own any I always knew I wanted his irises to take up most of his eye wells since I wanted them to look snake like (and you don't see any white in snake eyes). I think the 10mm would work well, because of how closed his eyes are compared to their other sculpts. There might be some gapping, though.

Rabbit fur wig sounds really interesting!

And yay for him being in production! When I ordered mine back in May, it only took them 20 working days (less than one month total o_o) to ship him out. Still the fastest company I've ever ordered from!

Also, I played around with my boy's tail this morning to see how well he could pose (shame on me for not doing it before, I know :P). Gallery thread here if anyone's interested!

 

The posing pics are great, RainbowMarbles. Thanks for posting them. He seems to pose really well and seems very stable, which I totally appreciate as I have a few dolls of... questionable stability. Although, the one that has the most questionable stability (OD Tae Vampire with the Collapse O-matic Knees(tm) *rolls eyes*), ironically enough, is a character that is mentally unstable; which amuses me to no end because I'm weird like that.

While Nassano is a Naga (he's massassauga rattler, the only viper native to Ontario, in case you were curious) and I did contemplate him having slit pupils, I decided to go with the "normal" human eyes for him although they will be pink as he is an albino. And yes, I realize that it is extremely rare for human albinos to have naturally pink eyes. In the animal world it's more common though and he is part snake so to speak. But you've now put a bug in my brain. I have some red cat eyes in either 16 or 18mm and I might see how he looks with those just for giggles.

Any time I bring my dolls with real fur wigs anywhere, everybody ends up petting their hair *laughs*. I have 3 dolls in-house that wear real fur wigs and the incoming doll, Dolf (Lume Light Blaze), will have a rabbit one. One of the dolls (MSD) is my catboy and he rejected every wigging attempt until I made him a wig out of fox fur dyed fire engine red. With my tiny twins, one wears grey fox fur and the other wears white winter rabbit. Dolf (the Lume doll) will hopefully look good in the cinnamon coloured summer rabbit. I have white summer rabbit and will see if it'll suit Nassano but he made need a longer wig for his look (it'd probably be mohair in that case).

 

OMG! guys, I just got an email from Sugarble and they've packed him up and he's on his way to me! *spins in mad circles* I had been hoping that they'd be able to ship him before Chinese New Year but wasn't sure since I had ordered him with a face-up, too. I'm very excited and holy crap, I'm going to have to order his wig like now (or make it) if I don't want him to be bald when he gets here.
