1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Sugarble Limiteds discussion part 1

Mar 1, 2010

    1. my boy has the Patrick face-up. :D and you just get the one head, I think gift refers to the fact that they usually charge $50 for a head and you get it for "free" with the naga tail.

    2. Thanks, I was a tad confused as I've never bought anything from them before. I have been looking for eyes in candykittens as I love the eyes Linny makes. Not sure whether to go with 12mm or 14mm but I suppose I have a few months to decide anyway. Can't believe how excited I am over these little guys:)

    3. No problem! ^_^

Callum is my first doll from them and the naga tail is super impressive to me. The jointing on the arms is pretty simple and the head needs sueding cause it's slightly bobble-headed but I was overall pretty happy. They also come with a nice little case now instead of the box. I've seen other people say they got an extra string for their tail but my boy didn't come with one so be prepared for that possibility if you want to restring them. Not sure if you saw my box opening but it can be seen HERE.

If it helps the eyes in my boy are 14mm. They look fine because they're pupil less but if you want a more 'realistic' look you might want to go with 12mm.

    4. I use 12mm on my girl if that helps as well. ;)

    5. I saw your box opening a while back and it definitely added to my urge to get one for myself. Your boy is just gorgeous:)

I decided to order some 12mm eyes as I want a bit of white showing and I also got a couple of fur wigs to try and see how they look. Wonder how long the wait for my little guys will be? I will just have to keep looking at this threads pictures until then:)

    6. Yes and no. I have some that fit and some that don't. Somewhere around here is a pic of my naga wearing a blythe dress, but she got another one at the same time that won't squeeze on her come heck or high water.

Oona settled on 12 mm eyes...

Haven't tried Blythe clothes on her, but lots of Barbie stuff works, and some things for slimmer Yos and action figures works too.

    8. Oh, I think I may have the answer to the clothing question. Sugarbles have a bust between 10.6 and 11.7cm.

Blythes have an about 10.5 cm bust. So something that fits large would probably work, but something that fits tight wouldn't. That might explain why some of the clothes I have fit and some don't. Blythe waist and hips are much smaller, so perhaps it may only be some shirts that fit.

But I do agree that Barbie stuff tends to fit.

    9. Trinlayk the 12mm eyes look great on your girl. I got 12s for mine and was hoping they would be alright.
I'm so excited as I got my shipping notice today so my Naga boys should arrive home within the week:) I can't wait to see those colored tails.
Be warned I will spam them shamelessly!!!

    10. they're amazing Kavarr! :D Those colors are so beautiful next to each other and it's lovely seeing more nagas. Of course after looking at your box opening I think I might be slightly jealous because my boy didn't come with the extra string and instructions and his tail is so tight it def needs to be restrung.

do you have any blushing or clothing plans for these 2?

    11. Those tail colours are gorgeous. Nassano's tail is also strung wicked tight from Sugarble and I really need to get my butt in gear and re-string it (Sugarble also provided me with elastic for that AND a free grasping hand, but oddly no S-hook for his head).

    12. CuriousRaven i'm glad you like them. They are really very tight and their tails keep wanting to curl up and their arms bend up with the slightest touch but i'm so happy with them. Clothing is not something i'm wanting for them but I would like to put some form of jewelry or maybe even a belt for them. They gave me the tail brushing for free on the purple tail which I really like. I would like to maybe try doing some silver on the emerald tail. I'm not sure about body blushing as I kind of like the way they are and I think I would probably damage it from holding them so much!
As for restringing I have never done one so i'm terrified! I took a pic of the instructions and thankfully it has pictures. The parts are numbered as well from the sound of it!
Here is the pic. Maybe you will be more brave than me and do yours first:)

Uh oh Imgur has crashed out so I will have to add the pic later:(

    13. Oh, wow, those are lovely!

    14. Wow, they are such cuties! I love their colourful tails, the marbling gives them such charm :) Restringing them is really easy, in my opinion, since they are small and their string isn't too resistant. The instructions are really clear and yes, the pieces are numbered, so even if it's your first time restringing anything (like it was for me) you should do great :)

    15. Iron_Dog it sounds like they are all to tight. Btw I didn't ignore your comment last night I took ages posting mine as I went and did something else in between then finished it so I posted after you. Today I though hold on how did that post get there then I realized:)
Thanks DeadLegato glad you like them. I am really happy with them:)
RainbowMarbles so glad to hear that it is easy for a beginner. The instructions look clear enough it's just that fear of doing something I have never done before. I will be brave and give it a go so thanks for the encouragement.

Oh yeah before I forget here are the instructions for any who need them:

    16. sooo, as adorable as my little naga boy is I'm having a hard time bonding with him since I can't really "play" with him by changing his clothes and shoes (since he doesn't wear them) and his tail is so tight it snaps back into the curled position all the time. How are you guys bonding with your nagas? I feel really guilty that he sits in his case pretty much all the time but the thought of selling him kind of depresses me. :/

    17. I love them but I need to try restringing them cause of those tight little tails. The tightness makes it harder to pose them for pictures. CuriousRaven I don't put any of mine in their cases, they stay out in my room and this lets me interact with them more. If they were put away I think that would stop me bonding with them too. I often hold one and fidget with the tail while i'm watching tv:) I really need to get/make them some jewelry since they don't wear any cloths. They are a novelty to me also as they are the only tinies I have. We have a few doll meets this month and I will finally be able to bring more than one doll without getting a sore arm from lugging them around.

    18. I've had Nassano for some time now and still haven't found the time to re-string the poor boy *sigh*. perhaps I can wrangle some time this weekend to do it (although I wouldn't hold my breath on that). I'd like to get a current shot of my entire gang (24 dolls) but that is a daunting task and we're forecasted to have rain this weekend, which means cruddy lighting in my apartment.

As for the in/out of case thing... all my dolls stay in their boxes when I don't have them out doing stuff with them. Unfortunately, I don't have the space to display them safely and I have Idiot Cat who is convinced that several of my dolls wear his cat toys as hair. It's much safer for them to be in their boxes where he can't get to their wigs for a little fun. Doesn't stop him from trying to sleep on top of the closed boxes though *rolls eyes*.
