Sugarble Limiteds discussion part 1

Gaw their heads are so confusing... I'm looking at every single one just to pick the one I want x-x I think I've narrowed it down to Hellena and Patrick. I'm not usually one to like open mouthed dolls but I've been in love with Hellena for AGES... just never actually got one.

Do they no longer come with the wooden boxes or does only full sets come with boxes?

 

I finished my first Sugarble naga today! I switched out his Selena head for a Doll Chateau Jodie to be more reptilian.
He's had his neck hole dremeled larger, upper torso and head dyed black and sprayed with black Tamiya acrylic paint spray, scales added with mesh netting and a paintbrush, and blushed with pastels over the top.
His sister counterpart will be a white DC Hilary on a WS naga body (I haven't ordered her head yet, d'oh.)
He's not perfect but I hope people like him ^^

 

I was not usually for open mouthed dolls either but these are too cute and those little teeth are only noticeable when looking up at them. They come in a cute little carry bag now with cushion instead of the wooden box.

They come with really lovely soft cases now though, they're very nice. ^^

 

it's been a month since i ordered miriam and nothing from sugarble yet, but i've got her wig, eyes and a onesie all ready for when she gets here. just figured i'd ask if anyone knows if promise of the world (http://www.promiseoftheworld.com/) clothes would fit her (she'll be on the girl body)? i don't want to get her stuff she can't wear.

Hi, I hope I can ask here. Because I didnt find other Sugarble thread. I just got Hellena. And she is on new body. Is there some trick to make her stand? Her legs are too close its inposdible to stand her. And other thing is. There were four little like pegs with her feet parts. Two smaller and two bigger. What thea are for?

 

The small pegs are hand replacements. The larger ones are for the feet. My last doll from Sugarble came with the hooks on and the hands and feet in bags. You can use them if you are dressing her in something with tight sleeves or knits which might catch the fingers.

 

Autopsie arrived and has been spending her time with her welcoming committee (or rather, Olivia and olivia's teddy bear...). I'm so excited to get her properly home, and her first doll meet is this Sunday! I'm going to make her a better dress, though, that will fit her better.

 

I had a lot of trouble with my Darlene. I love her to bits and she's absolutely gorgeous, but getting her to stand and pose is a mission. I've tried re-stringing, suede-ing and wiring, but she's still very hard to pose. No idea why, but it seems most people haven't had this problem. Maybe my girl is just stubborn!

 

How thick is the wire you're using? I'm using some very thick stuff for the body size, and instead of it being just in the knees I put it through her hips too- she can pose pretty well now!

 

Ahh, I was just using the same thickness as my yo-sd, I'll dig out some thicker wire and have another go. Thanks!

 

I am using the stuff I used for my MSD (and it was big on him!) Luckily sugarble seem to have wide channels in their limbs, but it can be tough to get it in - but it's worth it

 

Wow, I missed that black naga. Incredible! Although I really love all nagas- jewel tones, black, white, gray, gorgeous!

Hi my dears,

I just saw the colorful naga tails in their shop. Now comes the head question. The mirror is type S right? In the Database is a nage Body with Type R Head. Is it just me, or is the R head a little smaller? The "normal" head is a litte bit big for my opinion, so the R head would go better for me i think.

 

Rin Yhun: Not exactly! The S head (smaller head, 4-5 wig size) is the default head the Mirror body comes with. A lot of people asked Sugarble to switch the S head for the bigger R heads (5-6 wig size), which they're fine with doing, which is why so many people have R heads with their nagas! So if you want the S head with the naga body, you just need to order it exactly as is on the website, no need to contact Sugarble or anything, and you'll get what you want.

Demasquerade --- WOW!!! Your black naga is just fabulous! I'm always so impressed by how people mod their dolls... I SUCK at seeing different potentials in dolls and need to stick to images I see. I guess if I thought about wanting a black naga I'd probably just stick with the Surgarble heads--but the DC head looks awesome on yours! And the whole styling of him. I LOVE seeing people run with these basic pieces and come up with their unique visions!!!

Kavarr -- Love seeing your Naga spam. I'm terrible at identifying heads and make-ups-- which do you have on your boys???

I just tried ordering a Patrick head and makeup in Grey--and Sugarble said it isn't available in grey, but only white and normal... so I'm thinking I might want Adrian+makeup in grey, or go with Patrick+makeup in white... Decisions, decisions!!!
