Supernatural Doll Stories

Jul 7, 2011

    1. So my delf Nina is my favorite doll, and started out as my old RP character Fleur. Fleur is kind of a strong, independent character who spent life as an orphan. After a while, I felt like Nina wasn't Fleur at all but my little witch-boy Tuesday. So I sent the body off to get man-ercised. When he was all home and put together I just couldn't shake Fleur. I changed eyes/wigs/clothes and still he was still Fleur. Snapping at my fingers, always falling over, kicky as hell. All classic signs of Fleur fighting the change.
It even got to the point where I'd say "Fleur, you'll get a body I swear just go awayOMGGGGGGG!"

Final it seems Tuesday has settled into his sculpt, and I think it's because Fleur's outfit/wig came in about a week ago so she knows she's the next one coming home. Not very paranormal, but still weird as hell.

    2. I have a few fun stories.
The first couple are about my boy Jareth (same name, but not a goblin king). I ordered him at the same time as my first doll, Kyran, but for some reason he didn't come in to Denver Doll Emporium with her. I ended up getting him a bit later and it was all good. Later I was surfing here and found someone telling a story about how their doll had disappeared for a while, but had mysteriously reappeared. They ended their post with "Curse you, Jareth!" I made joke about not blaming my doll and we talked a bit. Turns out, not only was her doll the same sculpt as Kyran (who is Jareth's girlfriend), her doll was also missing during that time when Jareth should have gotten to me and when he actually got there. And that is how Jareth's character changed from Space Captain to Space Pirate who kidnaps people sometimes.
Jareth is also one of my chillest dolls. He has this air of calm and is a real team player whenever I am shooting a photostory. He does have his limits, though. One day I was shooting a photostory that involved him being put into a variety of clothes that were decidedly not his style, including a dress. As soon as I got my last shot I needed, his legs fell off. I had to do an emergency restringing, and I have never had another problem with him. I have also never tried to put him in a dress again, nice to know he was willing to put up with it for the photostory though!
This is a cute little thing that happened before Jareth got home when it was just Kyran and I. She arrived on Halloween, so it seemed natural enough to watch a halloween movie with her that week. I had already done photoshoots with her looking through books about zombies and vampires and decided that "monster hunting" was going to be her hobby. We watched a movie about werewolves, and when it was done I looked down at her. Her head had turned away from the tv and her hands had flown up to cover her eyes. Apparently the monster hunter is scared of werewolves.
I'm not sure how supernatural this last one is, but it is pretty fun. I had ordered a second hand doll on the marketplace. One night, I had a weird dream of a guy with black hair telling me "My name is Karus. It's like Icarus, but with a K and no I." Once he was satisfied I knew how to spell his name, the dream ended. I didn't think too much about it until the next day when my new doll came in the mail. I opened the box, took one look at him and the black wig he had come with, and basically said. "Whelp, that settles it. Your name is Karus." I still use that same explanation I was given in my dream when people ask me how to spell his name.

    3. Dolls and supernatural. Very classic combo.

Well, as a Japanese, I was raised believing in ghosts, god, angels, demons, supernatural, etc. (In Japan, most people are often raised to believe in ghosts and such because it is a way to warn kids to stop doing bad habits, or else a demon or the angry ancestor can come back to attack you.), but obviously I still focus on the science, though I still think of the supernatural possibilities lol. I do not have a religion, but I believe in God.

Before I went to Kyoto to order my first FCS boy, my mother and uncle attempted to scare me about the doll's wig growing longer without any notice.

After I got Charles, my mom keeps scaring (Not really) me into the fact that if I do anything bad, like lying, killing, stealing, or the worst, my dolls will come haunt me in anger! I am not a little girl anymore, but I believe it is a way to keep myself from being a bad person.

I do sometimes feel a presence from my dolls, but nothing really interesting.

    4. I haven't experienced anything yet, but I think that if you put a lot of energy into something, it kind of gains its own form of sentience.

I just wanted to add that I've collected porcelain dolls since I was a wee lad and they've never scared me! My room is covered in dolls--you can't go anywhere without one looking at you--and they don't scare me. I am deathly afraid of toys that move and make noise on their own, though. Ugh. *shivers*

Perhaps when Michael is here I'll be able to add some creepy doll stories to this thread. :P I really enjoy reading everyone else's, though!

    5. This is what my writer's craft teacher had told me when I was in high school and had believed it ever since.

Love reading all these stories, especially when it's slow here at work.

Nothing supernatural has happened with my boys but mostly the atmosphere around them changes when I do something they don't like. Shinji (the boy on the left on my avatar) loves to watch movies/TV. His face always turns cold when I do not put him in front of the TV. Now, he's displayed facing the TV all the time.

My other boy Wade (The one on the right) his face somehow looked tired when I saw him him this morning. I used to have him displayed on a shelf with a pillow under him, always sleeping. My husband calls him a bum because of it. After I re-arranged our room, I have him now displayed without the pillow. When I looked at him, he seemed tired as if he did not sleep for a long time. I'll probably put a cushion on his bum because I don't like seeing him like this.

      Keep these stories coming! :)

    6. Well no offense i have my doll with me when ever i have a chance when i make doll clothes or do some tattoos and etc and sometimes i fig her eyes blink every time i taking pics or starring at her.Plus i love the supernatural doll stories i love a spook once in a lifetime who wouldn't.

    7. I literally just had something happen xD So I recently got my first doll, less than a week ago!! And I love her, but I decided to redo her style, so I sold some of her old stuff and bought her a new wig and outfit which haven't arrived yet so she's been sitting on her pillow naked lol. Well the past couple of days I've been busy so I haven't been playing with her as much as I did last weekend, and I'm not as inspired since she doesn't have clothes or a wig. Today she's been in my dresser which has a closet like cabinet thing where she usually stays, and it's been closed all day. While I was sitting here a few minutes ago I heard little ticks and taps, I opened up the door and she was looking right at me, the noise had stopped so I shut the door. Then I sat back down and the noise started again so I opened the door and left it open cos I felt bad lmfao as I'm typing this I still hear the noise and whenever I look at her it stops. And I've done this a few times xD I think she just want attention!!!

    8. Poor thing! I'd feel bad having her naked and alone! Maybe she's cold? haha

    9. Aye it sounds like she does really want attention!

My Britta (Iplehouse Isar) always seems to be catching or positioned to catch my Sofia (off topic doll) whenever it looks like she's going to get into trouble. I've had my boyfriend, not realize that they were on the bed and try to fluff the sheet so it lies calmly on the bed and they end up landing on the pillows (this is my justification for having 8+ pillows on the bed) and they always land with Britta catching her little sister.

I have Lisa Marie on the way (Iplehouse Lisa human version) due to arrive this weekend and I have a feeling Britta is going to be doing doubletime... well trippletime soon when Seraphim (Just now got hit with the realization that Seraphim is her name and Reina is Violet's) (Iplehouse Lisa Vamp fullset arrives) at least until my Reina (IpleHouse Vamp Violet) arrives to help. Yeah i just realized Britta will be the only adult with three little girls (one of which being a vampire) for a while until Reina gets here... lol

Not sure if this counts for supernatural but I've been getting the feeling that I need to bring Britta and Sofia with me when I go to sign the lease for the apartments and I almost want to say and bring Lisa to.... though I doubt Lisa Marie will be at my house before I have to leave tomorrow. I definitely know that I will be bringing Britta, Sofia, and Lisa Marie with me when we go look at the apartment before move in.

Oh and funny thing to... I accidently called one of my chiropractor's other patient Lisa Marie and the lady went How did you know my middle name was Marie?

And just as I was about to hit reply the person my Britta is named after called me wanting to see what was up in my life and asked if i was bringing my Britta to her concert on sunday.

    10. I totally agree with eiramleira (Post number 50), I'm waiting for my first bjd ever but now I'm scared a bit. Q.Q :o

    11. Wow! After reading all those scary stories, I started thinking about, if anything like this happened to me. lol
So its not scary, more like a bit weird one...
Not too long ago, I bought a SD girl (Monomi) from a friend of mine, and decided that she would be a perfect girlfriend for my SD boy (Yoite). The first time I put them next to each other ( on the side of my bed ), I saw that Yoite was a bit shy and did not wanted to be too close to Monomi. I tryed posing them, so they would actualy look like a couple, and after about an hour of "fighting" with them, I managed to do so. I was a bit mad, but smiled at them and said " Ok! Now stay like that till I get my camera! " So i got up and left the room, and when I got back, I was a bit shocked. o.o Yoite was on the floor, faced down, and Monomi was still sitting on my bed, looking down at the poor guy. :huh?:
The next day something similar happened. I have a cute pink doll bed, and i put my lovely new couple on that little bed, posed so that they are hugging eachother. I left the room, and when I got back Yoite was AGAIN on the floor, and Monomi stareing down at him.
A few days Later I tryed poseing them together, standing on my desk this time, but Yoite just would stay still, till I took Monomi far away from him. =.="
After that Yoite wouldn't even dare to look at Monomi.
Now almost two months have passed since Monomi is here, and things have gotten a bit better I guess. The lovebirds would finaly stay close to each other, and I can actualy see Yoite smile a little, when being with his love. Monomi still haveing that " ughh =.= " look on, tho. :sweat
So things turned out good in the end, but..... I still don't know what Monomis problem was/is.... o.o

    12. Not really a story, but I remembered once putting my male MSD (DOD Kirill) in a set of female clothings for the fun of it and he kept glaring in every single photo. 8')

    13. @Naane, Monomi is a lady, maybe in her day, they had to be married before sharing a bed, she probably slapped Yoite around a few times, and told him to mind his manners....you are raising a fine one there :-)

    14. I think my two favorite stories so far are the one about the baby doll crying "mommy I'm sick" and the Disney villain whose afraid of heights. Which Disney villain was this?

I haven't had a lot of weird happenings, but I do know doll's have their personalities and two incidents that relate to it.

My friends Zia shelled her RP character Cecil. I play a character (who will be arriving home shortly) that is romantically involved with Cecil. One gaming night, Tip brought her boy Liam, who has special powers allowing him to attract women. I always love to fuss over my friends' dolls (this was before I had mine) and whenever Cecil is around, I always cuddle him and sit him in my lap. At one point during the night, I had Cecil and Liam on my lap--and Cecil wouldn't stop looking grumpy until I handed Liam back to Tip. The jokes we had over that were great.

My other incident involves my newest boy Damian. He's a bit of a punk and "problem child"--although he behaves for me. My friend Tip was trying to help me put in purple highlights on his wig and took him for a week. I was surprised by how much I missed him. Well, the week's end rolled around and I found Damian waiting for me at gaming--as well as a Tip who was swearing him off. Apparently he had behaved horribly for her (He wouldn't sit properly while she worked on his wig and I swear his joints even bit her several times)--and yet, the entire night when he was with me, he was fine. I decided that if any more work needs to be done, I need to be there. He either has separation anxiety or only behaves for me--or maybe a combination of both. XD He might just be a home body too. He doesn't seem to like going places.

    15. Wow! How interesting! :D

I can't say it's supernatural, but my Iplehouse Chase, Sephiroth comforts me sometimes. Right now I have a lot of things going on and he comforts me. That's why he stays in my bed. It's ironic though since it is Sephiroth. Plus I have dreams about him often. He's awesome. When family is nonexistent and friends are suddenly not there, he's there. :D

    16. I was reading this at work and I had chills all over my body. Some of these story are really terrifying. And off course I looked up Robert the doll, which I shouldn't have, because that made me even more scared. I hope nothing like this will ever happen to me with my dolls. I'm not very comfortable with supernatural stuff like this and that is the reason I prefer anime style or fantasy dolls over resin dolls that look very lifelike. I feel like anime style dolls are too innocent to have things like this happen to them lol :P.

    17. We have a Kid Delf Aru, which is a pretty happy looking doll. He's got a little sculpted smile and all. However, for whatever reason, in any picture we take of him he's frowning. He looks really genuinely depressed. There was even this one time we bought him a $30 dress from etsy and when we tried to take pictures of him in it he looked worse than before. We're hoping he's just lonely because his boyfriend isn't home yet.

We also have a boy who has quite the attitude and he's pretty often kicking us or pinching us with his joints. First thing he did when we got him out of the box was knee me in the face.

Not really paranormal stuff, but fun nonetheless.

    18. Man, reading this, makes me a little worried that Juliet won't like her eyes. I knew, before I got her [hell, before I even saw her] that my first doll would have one blue eye, one green eye. I wasn't even thinking about it being as cosplay, I just wanted her to have those eyes. So now I worry that she might not like her eyes so much. :(

I can't say whether it's a supernatural thing or not, but the other day at a doll show, whenever someone commented about her while she was in my arms, she seemed to move to face the person (unless it was a not nice comment or I was near a creepy doll, then she seemed to face in to me) I'm pretty sure it's because she's still a bit kicky (she needs a restringing) but it was interesting. Like she was going "oh? You're talking about me? Please, go on" kind of thing

    19. I have only had one strange thing happen regarding my dolls. . . at least which could be construed as supernatural.
I was walking into my room, and Hel (my first doll, a modified DF-A head on an AoD body) was sitting on my sewing table just where I'd left her. She didn't move or anything, but I saw this black shape just sort of move from the ground up and into the doll. Sort of like it was this something being vacuumed into her. Nothing odd otherwise, and I didn't get a bad vibe or anything. Just another interesting little story to add to the bunch.

    20. This isn't a BJD story, but is still a doll that totally creeped me out!
When I was really little, I had two Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls that I always placed together. I really liked them because my grandmother and I used to play with them a lot.
Eventually, as I got a little older and they got a little worse for wear, I found them kind of creepy so I stuffed them at the bottom of my stuffed animal bin. I went to bed and thought nothing of it.
When I woke up the next day, Andy was on the floor facing my bed and Ann was right next to me! I was completely terrified and threw Ann across the room.
Looking back on it now, it was probably my older brother who had snuck into my room to play a mean trick on me (that was kind of his thing. He locked me in my closet once). But it was still terrifying and it took me a long time to get over it!
Of course, now I'm perfectly fine and I love dolls. :)
