Are they going to release a new boy head sculpt as well?

 

Well, from their announcement, it doesn't seem like they are planning any more releases this round

I commandeered the Wayback Machine, and snagged the old body's pics, so I made a a few comparison pics:

The changes appear to be subtle, and some of it is the different contrast in the photography, but the chest muscles seem to be more pronounced (maybe even wider a bit?). The hip area appears much sharper, and there weren't veins before. Thighs are definitely resculpted, there's much more muscle definition now. The ankle and wrist connections are thinned a bit, now they seem more graceful, and I'm pretty sure that the hands are new as well.

 

Thank you for the comparison, Smaug! I'm really liking his more muscular legs. His chest looks a little fuller too, but as you say, it might just be the contrast in photo.

 

Oooh, thanks for the comparison pics Smaug! Is it me, or do the legs and arms on the new sculpt look just a tiny bit thinner than the old body? The hands and feet also look a bit smaller to me as well.....overall the new body looks great though!

I am excited to finally be able to order a Zion! Has anyone ordered yet? I plan to order within the next day or so, today I really should be working instead of ogling dolls and messing around on forums. >w<;;;

Hmmm, so I was going to order my Zion this evening, but I can't figure out how to pay with paypal...maybe I'm just missing something, but my only option for payment at the bottom is "Bank Deposit"...the paypal logo is above there, but bank deposit doesn't sound like paypal. ><;; Can anyone enlighten me on how to pay?

also @froudfaerie, I'm not sure how long the wait is for just a head. I did see where someone who ordered a blank head in the past got it within a month, but things could have changed by now. Maybe someone else may have a better answer for you. ><;;

 

It looks like they have made the hands and wrists smaller. That's good! The original body had huge hands and wrists!

Thanks for the input, but it won't let me complete the order without choosing a payment method. (T_T) I'm beginning to think the universe is telling me to save my money, lol.

 

Argh, ok I feel like such a dork right now, but I went back through their previous news postings and found out how to pay...the Bank Deposit thing is how you pay with paypal, and then you have to go to paypal and send supia the money. So with that said my Zion is ordered! Now the wait, though they can take their time, as I'll need to collect a wig, eyes and etc for him since he will be my first 65cm doll. Does anyone happen to know if any of the clothes for 60cm dolls will also fit him?

I don't know if there are any measurements on the Supia website, but it also depends on where you get the clothes. Some places make them bigger whilst others make them to fit just right. You might get away with SD13 sized stuff, but I would probably go for SD17 sized stuff to be on the safe side.
I'm a bit short on funds for the time being (T ^ T) so will need to wait a week or so before I can order myself a Zion (T ^ T)

 

Giyom is lovely. What a shame you can only get him as a gift.

 

Definitely go for SD17 over SD13. Thirteen stuff will be way short in both sleeves and pants length. As well as not fitting across the shoulders.

 

Sillypeach if I am not mistaken, I think Supia mentioned that they will be releasing their gift heads as general release sculpts after the event~

 

Jatzu- Really?! I hope that's true! I can't afford a full boy right now.

 

I wish supia would update the body measurements on their website. I still have the old measurements saved in a text file on my computer, so I can go by that, but if the foot length has changed at all it would be good to know since as I recall they previously had big feet. If they are a little smaller now maybe they will be able to fit in more sd17 sized shoes.

Thanks for the tip. I was just kind of hoping he might be able to borrow some clothing from one of my 60cm-ish boys, but I guess that's not the case. ('^') I ended up ordering a couple items from Crobidoll since their measurements are very similar, hopefully all goes well. Right now I just need them to accept my payment lol.

 

It actually says on the bottom of the page that shows the new heads that the heads were supposed to be available already during the event, but sadly they're not yet.
I asked about the Eunice head specifically and they told me she and the other dolls would be added last Saturday. But uhm... yeah that didn't happen.
But they will all be available as actual dolls soon (-ish lol).
