EMERGENCY! Please someone be so kind to tell me the exact measurement of Zion head. 1. From his forehead to his back head at the point of the hump. 2. From one ear to another crossing the top of his head!

I am ordering his wig and I need those sizes but I have to wait for a month and a half for him to come... I can call the company myself but I feel sorry for asking such unimportant questions on the phone since they are so busy... So anyway, SOMEONE WHO OWNS ZION? PLZ HELPPPPPP

BelleChoi, according to the website Zion takes a 8/9 wig.

 

Thanks but too bad I knew that already. but the wig I am ordering now is handmade and requires those two measurements and I don't have his head right now... Oh well I think I might have to call Supiadoll...

 

My Zion just arrived today and I'm so very happy with him! I still need to collect better eyes and a wig for him and I won't be able to do a face-up until after my brother's wedding (just had my nails done ><;; ) In the meantime though I took a few body measurements and I'm shopping for another pair of pants and shoes for him. Does anyone know if the Crobidoll skinny jeans will work? Their vintage bluejeans fit well, but the waist is higher than I'd like it to be. XD Ironically I have a pair of khaki's for one of my 60cm boys that has a wide waist so when they sit low on Zion's hips they come to the perfect length. I think I just got lucky there. Also it appears that shoes are still going to be problematic for the new body. The foot length is about 8.5cm, BUT his foot is wide so the 9cm inner length boots I have, I couldn't get his toes far enough to the front. I'm hoping something in the 9.5cm range will work. Anybody have any experiences with shoe shopping?

Hi, I measured my Zion head to the best of my ability.
1- Forehead to back head: 12 to 13 cm (depending on how much forehead you want to show).
2- Ear to Ear crossing top of head: 12.5 cm.
The circumference of the head is 20.5 cm
Zion has a kind of a big face but a small elongated cranium.
Hope is useful, and that you receive other people's measurements to cross-check.

Graratiam, I'm so glad that you were able to help BelleChoi, I know she was very anxious to learn that information.

On a side note, I am thinking of turning my Joshua into Neil Gaiman's Sandman, and calling him Dream. I know that he mostly appears with black hair, but sometimes that hair is blue. I might get a similar wig in black to be on the safe side.

How should I thank you I really don't know... and froudfaerie you saw it right, I was worried if I won't be able to get Zion THE wig which is a limited product, and that my Zion won't be in my hands for another month or two. Now my only wish is to find the right bodies for my floating heads (Zion is one of them), with my other hybrids it was easy but Zion is playing hard to get :P

That's a nice body, I believe it will look good with nice proportion. Personally I'm not very demanding about the resin match.
I first wanted my Zion to be a girl (he reminded me of Mona Lisa, the smile :P) tried a Twigling Ingenue body, but he looked too pin headed to me, then a Souldoll Zenith woman body, it was a good proportion but didn't quite liked it, then changed my mind to make him a boy and tried a DollZone 70 cm lanky body, a bit pin headed and didn't quite liked that either (though I must say is the best proportion I have got for him of all of my intents).
Now I'm hoping that this is my last try, I ordered a DollChateau Adult body for him (the one with jointed hands-feet) love it, but hope it clicks with my Zion finally. Really must love this boy for going through so much trouble for him!

I don't have a Zion head (mine is Joshua), but I thought I'd weigh in on the discussion anyway. I have mine on a Dollstown 15 year old body. The resin match is really good, and the sculpting is phenomenal. All that aside, I love the height, as he is perfect for my girls on their 13 year old bodies.

 

@froudfaerie I saw your Joshua and he is totally amazing! And I can see why people keep mention Sherlock when they talk about the particular head.

I got a bit confused and worried as well as I read @Graratiam and @froudfaerie 's posts though. I searched for the bodies you two have mentioned and gosh, their shoulder width were all too short! I mean, shorter than I thought? For example, dollzone's 70cm body has 14cm-width shoulder, and I saw Graratiam's flickr pics, and it did look a bit pin headed for me as well. Does this shoulder measurement include or exclude the arms?

I mean, the april story's new body has 15.5cm shoulder and if a 14cm shoulder is too wide for Zion... then...

Oh my god this is my very first doll and this isn't easy!

Bellechoi, with respect I completely disagree with you as far as my doll is concerned. Joshua's head is described on the Supia website as taking a 8/9 wig. The Dollstown J head, which is intended for the the Dollstown 15 year old body (the body I own) is a size 9 inch. Yes, the Joshua head could go on a beefier body, if that is what you prefer, but I think that he looks fantastic on the 15 year old body. Remember, it is all a matter of taste, there is no right or wrong choice!
