1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Supia Boys Discussion

Nov 15, 2011

1. nonono I never meant that the shoulder width was too short that its proportion was bad! If it upset you, froudfaerie, I am so so sorry???? I really do think your Joshua looks great on the dollstown body! What I was trying to say was that all the bodies mentioned above had shorter shoulder width than the april story's body while some seemed much wider, like soom mecha angel! So I was just confused and was curious about whether the shoulder width includes or excludes both arms - since aprilstory's body do include.

2. Hi @BelleChoi, I don't think you should worry at all, I believe Zion really was designed to be in a 65 cm body, of all the bodies I have tried for him my impression is he may look the best on bodies with 14 to 15 cm shoulders.
If you saw my Zion Flicker pics those are of a MechaAngel body which has really broad shoulders (18 cm), the photos of Zion on the DollZone 70 body (which in fact has 16 cm shoulders) I still haven't edited and put on my Flicker :P
Also, the pin-head on the DollZone body is very slight (like the proportions that Dollshe boys actually have, don't know if you have had a chance to see one in person). As soon as I can I'll try to upload the Zion-Dollzone body pics, so people can check as reference.
Like froudfaerie said, it's also partially mater of personal taste, I believe I tend to like my dolls just a little on the bubble-head side :)

*Edit: forgot to mention, all the measurements I'm saying here include arms.

3. Thank you for assuring me! I've been anxious for like a month for my first bjd and you people are angels...????

4. Hi BelleChoi, I wasn't upset, that is why I ended my comment with a smile. I think that the main question you need to worry about is the head and neck size, and then the color/resin match. Generally speaking those two measurements (head and neck) are what you need to look for. As far as Dollstown is concerned, the company uses the same head size for both the 15 and 18 year old bodies. I wanted to go with a different body for my Joshua (one closer in size to my 13 year old girls), and so I compared his head and neck size to that of the Dollstown dolls. The only measurement that is a bit off is on the neck, a bit of a risk upon ordering, I know, but honestly you can't even tell unless you flip him upside down. Good luck!! :)

5. You are welcome BelleChoi, I really wish you good luck and congratulate you for your first BJD.
I'd like to see pictures of your Zion when he arrives to you, and I'll come here too and post some photos of mine when the DollChateau body arrives (hopefully his definitive body :P)

6. Have anybody received the Supia boy with the new body recently?? My Giyom got the new boy body. However, I do have the hard time to keep him posed well especially the standing pose. Even stringing tightly, but the hip joint of the new body seems not quite stable and cause difficulty for him to stand straight and steadily. I am not sure if any of you face the same problem but I think I have to try applying hot giue to his hip joint^^"

However, I love his sculpt so much, especially his lips and teeth and here's another spam of him with dark eyes and hair^^

7. peck, I'm so sorry you are having a tough time posing him, but I must say that your Giyom is gorgeous! If sueding him isn't enough, you could try adding stiff wire inside of him. But, wow, what a looker!! :D

8. Ouch Peck, you ain't helping me resisting an urge to get Giyom twins! xD I'm sorry about the body though. O.o; I hope the sueding works!

Damn those Giyoms… if I find evidence that supia boy head fits and matches with Ramcube n.6 body, I'll be in real trouble. x'D

9. More spam of my Joshua, I just love his face! :aheartbea

10. Giyom is so lovely, very happy to see owner photos of him, thank you for posting them Peck.

11. Thank you for your suggestion, froudfaerie. I will try sueding his hip joint this weekend^^ BTW, your Joshua is handsome. I wish to get one Joshua someday^^

Many thanls, Tiirikka. Giyom twins is a good idea^^" Can't wait to see yours^O^

Thank you, Sillypeach. It's my pleasure to contribute the spams^^"

12. You're welcome, Peck, and good luck with the sueding! I understand that wiring figures can make them much easier to pose realistically, but I haven't tried it yet. And thank you about my Joshua, I love him!! I had wanted him for a long, long time. :)

13. Hi there :)

I received my Supia order two weeks ago, and Giyom just received his face-up ! He looks quite different than the promo pics ^ ^
On the other hand, Joshua is still awaiting his face up >_<

15. Wow, Marlequeen, I adore your Giyom's faceup, fantastic! Can't wait to see what you do with your Joshua. :D

16. I am not sure whether you'll remember my desperate calls for help about Zion's head size, but well hey! Here I am with my Zion!!!!!! He is without any face up for now and yet he is just wonderful. I was worrying about the shoulder width but there was nothing to worry about. It is just so perfect.

And you know what? I have full intent to make him James Potter.[emoji13] do you think he fits the character?
