Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     2. Yah, me too. I contacted Supia and they said that they use random wig suppliers and the only way you can be sure of the wig you get is to get the limited editions. Oh well, maybe there is something else out there that's even better :).

    7. I agree totally: I'm getting a tanned Roda, and after seeing Valencia, I'm smitten, & going to go the route of imitation being the sincerest form of flattery by trying the same colors for wig, etc. -- If Stella doesn't mind, that is!?

      Stella, did you do the faceup yourself? If so, what color(s) did you use for shadowing, tinting, etc., what mediums (acrylics, watercolors, etc.), and in what areas? Thanks. I obviously can't/won't be duplicating Valencia - not possible! - but I do like that look for my (forthcoming in May, I hope) Aliyah.

    9. I know what you mean, it took me a bit too. The thing about the tan color that sold it for me is it is so unique, very cool in hue so not a bit orangey. I live in New Jersey I see enough fake tans LOL. I wanted her character to be Thai, so of course she needed to be darker. I think Rosy looks very Asian.

      Glad to hear she's not orangey in skintone. The tan color really seems to vary with the light in the photos, so I can never seem to get a grasp on what it'll really look like when I get one home. I'm anxious for my Roda to get here so I can see how I like the beige urethane. I'd like to get something different for Rosy, though.

      LOL I grew up in NJ, I know about the fake tans:lol:~~~ Here in vermont no one even bothers with the fake ones!;)

    13. PinkBear: My Roda's head is actually about as big as my K's, so I think that 7-8 would be a good wig size. =D

    14. I dunno about that 7/8 wig. My Limhwa is too small for a 8/9, but when I ordered 7/8 wigs, they just sat on the top of her head as if they were 5/6s-! Better a tad too big than too small; you can work w/one that's slightly loose, but one that won't fit is impossible.

    15. Roda's wig size is a bit tricky, she's not as big as the Limhwa girls but not as small as an MSD. I found that the wigs that best fit her are a size 8 exactly. The 8-9 are sometimes big and the 7/8 can be too small. Like NancyS said, you can work with the bigger wig but the small one is just impossible.

    18. You can get a wonderful thing called wig stop, Volks carries that (right? I always steal it from my friends haha), on the cheap you can use a rubberband, a thick one wrapped around the head, or you can get wig caps out of a silicone-y material. Rosy's head is on the smallish side.
