1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

      I am soooo happy!!!!
Thanks so much catrina and yu jin!!!!!!!!!!!!

    3. Yay! Congratulations all around!
Did anyone else order her with a faceup? I figured I might as well since Yu Jin is obviously more familiar with Roda's sculpt :) and I know nothing about how french resin behaves under light. Also, we're heading into the miserable-cold-and-damp season here, so I wouldn't be able to do it myself until months from now. I want her to be done right away! :D Hopefully I'll have a chance to unstring her and give her a full body coating of UV cut MSC.
I started looking for wigs last week, and I've already made her some jewelry. :sweat Good thing I won!

    4. a note to all winners:

    9. *pokes gingerly with a long stick*

I've got some more questions. :sweat

Is there any update on our orders? I didn't see anything new on the customer service forum. Presumeably Yu Jin has received our payment and has begun casting? I'm amazed that she's planning to finish these girls before the holiday, but I certainly don't mind if it takes longer than the estimated 5-6 weeks.

Does Roda come with sanded seams? I've been exceedingly lazy about sanding my other dolls, so it would be cool if I didn't have to do another one. But at least she'll be non-toxic, right? :)

Are her fingers all separated? I couldn't tell from the photos, but it looks like three are fused a little.

      Thanks!:daisy

    10. Since the order was placed in early December, we won't see these beauties until sometime in January.

All small paricles, like dust from sanding resin, are not good for ours lungs. So you should take precautions when sanding.

    11. St. James,

I don't think she's sanded. I have a Supia 60 and she didn't come sanded, but the French resin is much easier to sand than the urethane. I do like it very much--it glows. Definitely a good idea to wear the mask just to keep the dust out of you :)

I was so happy to find I had lucked out this order period. Have to let some of my other resin folks go, but Roda is so incredible. She seems so much more than a doll...

Catrina--I am looking forward to her sooo much. Thank you for bringing us such gorgeous creations.

    12. Thank you, ladies! I always wear a respirator when I sand anything, so no worries there. Since I'm inquisitive to a fault, I'm looking forward to handling french resin for the first time. I'm not keen on the translucent thing, but I suspect I'll change my mind once I see her in person. ;)

    13. I imagine you ordered the white and I haven't seen thw white in person, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the French resin. It makes the dolls look alive!

    14. I did order the snow white resin. I know that the paler color is not supposed to highlight the sculpt quite as well, but I asked Yu Jin to do blushing however she thought would bring out the details best. I'm so excited to see what she does!

    15. St. James how did you ask Yu Jin for specifics? Is thier an E-mail I missed:sweat
      ~Anthony

    16. Body blushing is not included in the price... in fact, she does not do it. She will of course blush the face a bit.

We had no option for custom facepainting, but we do forward requests to the artist in case she can do it. When all the dolls arrive, we take a look and try to arrange shipments closest to people's wishes. (wig, eye color, etc.) Sort of like the game "musical chairs" but with dolls. Wigs, eyes, and faceups are officially random however... but of course you guys know us, we really do try to go the extra mile to please everyone as much as we can. In each shipment, we do try to sort things out so that everyone does the happy dance.

      Catrina

P.S. French resin is nontoxic... but still not good if you get the small pieces in your lungs. I'm allergic to urethane gas (gives me hives). When urethane dolls arrive I have to be careful until they de-gas for a few weeks. I have never had trouble with Volks urethane, in fact I got a Yo-SD this week and had no trouble. I have a shop full of French resin dolls and they never give me any trouble either. You should be careful about getting any kind of dust in your lungs though. We don't sand any dolls in our shop for this reason. Also, I advise everyone to not only wear a mask, but to sand under water. The particles will remain in the water and can be easily washed down the sink. You can also wear gloves to keep the dust off your skin and away from under your fingers. I think sanding dolls is fun too (kind of relaxing!) but please be careful.

    17. I just wrote on my order form. On the Supia site the face-up request page showed styles to pick from and said to mention any other color changes, etc. when you ordered. I'm sure she's not at the faceup stage yet  so perhaps Catrina could forward your request to her.

    18. Ohhh I wrote on both the Order Note and at that face up request form;)
      ~Anthony

    19. Yay Catrina you're back:D So I take it all went splendid with all of our orders?;)
      ~Anthony
