Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I didn't ask for body blushing, just whatever facial blushing would look best. Earlier you mentioned that a portion of the $60 face up fee was to pay a professional translator to relay our requests to the artist. If this is the case, won't she be noting which doll she tried to make match the request? Also, if I happen to be the only person who ordered Roda in snow white with a faceup, wouldn't that be hard to play mix and match with? I can understand the random wig and eye thing, but if we sent in a skin tone preference and faceup style preference, it seems like there's only going to be one doll that matches each order. :sweat

    2. Here is the best way I can explain it:
      She is an artist, but not a professional faceup artist who does a full range of custom work. So that means, she can do things for you within her own style but not anything too far outside of it.

      The other thing to consider is: we want these to come in a timely manner, eh? :fangirl:
      If we have a huge list of complicated faceups, then it's going to be very hard for her to continue. This is why some doll artists only sell their dolls blank. I was able to talk Limhwa into painting dolls for everyone, but under very similar rules.

      Still, I think most people really value a doll that has been painted by the person who created the doll. It's more special.

    3. Roda is gorgeous in the promo pics, but I love to do faces, so my girl is coming blank.

      I'm really curious to see your white doll St. James. I saw a white Narae in the 43cm Narin/Narae thread and she looked wonderfully pale with an ethereal quality to her. White in the french resin is a different look than white in the urethane. Really lovely--more like real skin.

    4. Me too! But this time I just wanted her to be like Athena and spring fully formed from the box. :)
      There was a gallery post a while back of a ghostly white Narae, from a French member I believe, who I thought was just exquisite. But I don't have a nice dark 500 year old basement to keep her in. Well, a 100 year old basement, yes. ;) I'm going to have to build some sort of vampire fetish into her character and clean out a dresser drawer for her to sleep in during the day. GAH! I'm so excited!!

    5. I asked on the Magical Doll forum and Catrina said the dolls are being painted now. It was a large order and a lot of us asked for face-ups!

    6. Check. She is painting them now. Things are always quiet while they are making the dolls. I did hear from her just after the New Year because I sent her a bouquet of roses for a holiday gift. :fangirl: So please hang tight!

      I am always full of admiration for these artists who not only manufacture their own dolls but paint them. What a huge job. She's amazing!

    7. When the first girls are ready to ship, we will ask for instructions to start another order. They don't want to take another order until the first one is complete. This way they can pace themselves. While I am working on getting another order organized, they have a rest time and some time to work on new projects.

      Of course it makes ordering more difficult because there will never be a schedule. But hopefully everyone understands why we have to do it the way we do.
